1601 Missed Him
Wu Yue scoffed, looking at the door the moment the people from the Math department left the place. “These blind speculations! How dare he call himself a teacher?”
Li Chenhui touched his nose and hurriedly said comfortingly, “Don’t be angry. Prof Rong made a mistake. He should have organized a banquet when he accepted a new disciple and made it public. Otherwise, no one would have suspected her status.”
Since Prof Rong was not around, he could not hear Li Chenhui push the blame onto him.
Wu Yue felt that he made sense. However, it did nothing to alleviate his anger. “When we get back, remind him to get it done.”
People from the Physics department always protected their own. He could not bear hearing people speak ill of Huo Yao.

When Huo Yao got back to her room, Min Yu was talking on the phone on the balcony.
Seeing she was back, he hung up the phone and went back to the living room.
“Done?” asked Min Yu.
“Uh huh.” Huo Yao nodded. She walked over to the fridge to retrieve a bottle of water and gulped it down.
“Oh yes. Someone came to look for you in the morning.” Min Yu spun his phone as he spoke.
Huo Yao wiped the corner of her lips with her hand. She looked at him in surprise. “Did someone come looking for me? Who was it?”
Min Yu watched as she wiped her mouth. He replied in a natural tone. “He didn’t say. It was a man in his forties to fifties.”
A man in his forties to fifties?
Huo Yao leaned against the chair, wondering who it could be.
After some time, she shook her head. She genuinely had no clue who the man was. She simply said, “If he wants to see me, I’m sure he will come again.”
“Uh huh.” Min Yu raised his hand to check the time. “I booked a table at a restaurant nearby. Shall we go eat first?”
“Sure. Let me get my coat,” said Huo Yao and entered her room.
The two of them went to a popular restaurant in town. It looked retro and had a great atmosphere. It was clearly a hotspot for youngsters.
Huo Yao raised her brow as she looked at the restaurant. After Min Yu was done giving the order, she tutted and said, “I always felt that you weren’t like normal youngsters.”
Even though he looked young, he was very composed and mature.
Min Yu took the glass beside Huo Yao and poured some water for her. He raised his head and said in a sarcastic tone, “Sigh. Sometimes, I feel the same way.”
Huo Yao glanced at him. People with peculiar minds often misconstrued the words of others.
Min Yu caught Huo Yao looking at him and smiled.
Huo Yao’s phone rang right then.
Huo Changfeng was calling her.
Huo Yao’s hand paused for a second before she swiped to answer the phone. “Hi, Uncle Changfeng.”
Huo Changfeng was in the hotel lobby waiting for the lift. “Are you at the hotel? Let’s go for lunch.”
“No, I’m not.” Huo Yao raised her head and glanced at Min Yu. “My senior brothers and I made reservations at a popular restaurant nearby to try it out.”
She paused and added. “If you want to come along, I can always send you the location.”
Min Yu raised his brow and glanced at Huo Yao.
Huo Changfeng looked at the lift as it came down. The moment he heard what she said, he replied. “It’s fine. You kids can go have fun.”
“Okay. But you’re still young yourself.” Huo Yao felt relieved, but she continued saying nice things to him.
Huo Changfeng smiled and shook his head. The lift was already here. Since he was not going upstairs anymore, he turned to leave.
As he walked away, he said, “Go and enjoy yourself. I have something to take care of, anyways.”
