1533 The Thesis
Min Yu leaned into the seat backrest gently. He shrugged and replied. “What can I say? It’s my only strength.”
Huo Yao’s lips twitched. Yes, he was rich, but he didn’t have to throw it in her face.
“I have to say you and your cousin look alike,” remarked Min Yu.
“Oh really?” Huo Yao touched her face automatically. Liu Qian made the same comment earlier today, but she knew she was not biologically related to Shangguan Yun.
Perhaps she kept getting this feedback purely because they were both above average in the looks department.
Min Yu did not continue with the subject. Instead, he asked. “Oh yes. Are you still trying to find Lu Xia?”
The moment he mentioned Lu Xia, Huo Yao’s face turned cold. “Sooner or later, I’ll find her.”
Min Yu rapped his long slender fingers on the table looking at Huo Yao. “She’s currently studying at Sirin University located in Country M. Her teacher is called Qiao En and happens to be one of the leaders of the Five Universities Alliance.”
Huo Yao frowned. She had heard about Sirin University previously. It was an internationally renowned university specializing in research equipped with over 100 laboratories.
The school was also known for providing good security.
It seemed unsurprising that Chen Ming had trouble locating Lu Xia since she was attending classes at Sirin University. They had been on the wrong track all along.
Huo Yao narrowed her eyes.
“If you want to get her, you have to wait for the perfect timing,” said Min Yu.
“I get it. I have plenty of patience anyway.” Huo Yao lowered her eyes. She took the tea cup from the side but did not drink it right away. “Thanks.”
She had thought that the Lu family was done for and it was impossible for them to return to their past glory without Lu Xia. In hindsight, it was a mistake for her to let them off.
Huo Yao had let them off easy on account of Old Madam Yang, but they used their family ties against her.
A look of mockery swept across Huo Yao’s eyes.
Shangguan Yun came back from the bathroom. He glanced at Huo Yao and promptly detected her anger.
Shangguan Yun felt puzzled. He automatically glanced at Min Yu wondering what the guy had done to annoy her.
“Are you all done?” Huo Yao gathered her thoughts and turned to look at Shangguan Yun.
Shangguan Yun nodded. “Uh huh.”
“Okay then. Let’s go home.” Huo Yao stood up and walked out of the room.
Shangguan Yun touched his nose. He ignored Min Yu and quickly followed behind Huo Yao.
When they walked out of the clubhouse, Huo Yao pulled her coat together and raised her head to look at Min Yu. “Keep me posted.”
She was referring to Lu Xia.
Min Yu narrowed his eyes and replied. “Of course.”
Huo Yao smiled as she waved her hand before heading to the parking lot.
Shangguan Yun glanced at Min Yu one final time. Huo Yao had a powerful presence. He had to admit that Min Yu had the same imposing aura.

Meanwhile, at Sirin University located in Country M.
“Lu Xia, the results of the paper you submitted are out.”
She was reading in the library when her partner came over to look for her excitedly.
Lu Xia froze briefly upon hearing the news but did not lose her cool. Instead, she raised her head to look at Mo Lin, and enquired calmly. “Did it get accepted?”
Mo Lin nodded excitedly. “Yes, it was accepted. The teacher’s assistant mentioned that the journal editor loved your article. If everything goes smoothly, they will probably publish your article in the next issue and place it on the cover.”
Lu Xia paused briefly and could not believe her ears. “Are you sure it’ll appear on the cover? I doubt it’s good enough.”
“Let’s not forget the teacher is chummy with the editor. Also, you’re the disciple of an amazing teacher. Your work naturally means something,” said Mo Lin comfortingly.
Lu Xia’s eyes glinted in anticipation.
