An hour passed before they finally arrived at the estate.
Huo Yao rested her eyes on the way back home. When the car pulled up, she woke up and looked at the parking lot before gazing at the man sitting in the driver’s seat.
Min Yu said nothing. He undid his seatbelt and got out of the car.
Huo Yao raised her brow and got off the car as well.
Min Yu walked around the car. He had already removed his mask. He looked at Huo Yao intently with his deep dark eyes.
Only the two of them were at the villa.
Huo Yao cleared her throat. Her eyes still looked a little tired, so she looked like a lazy cat when she said, “Why did you…”
In an instant, she could sense Min Yu’s grip on her waist as he pulled her into his arms. Min Yu kissed her passionately, making her swallow her words.
After some time, Min Yu finally let go of her with Huo Yao’s face slightly red. He held her hand and pulled her into the villa. “Why don’t you rest first? I’ll take you out for dinner later.”
Huo Yao replied huskily. “Okay.”
After entering the villa, Min Yu led Huo Yao to the living room to sit down on the couch. He turned to retrieve a glass of warm water and sat down beside her after handing it to her.
Huo Yao accepted the glass and took a few sips of water before setting it down.
Just as she was about to raise her head and say something, Min Yu had already reached his hands out to wrap his arms around her waist. He leaned against her shoulder and spoke in a sexy tone.
“Can I hold you for a minute?” Min Yu’s lips grazed Huo Yao’s neck as he spoke, so she could sense his warm breath on her skin.
Huo Yao went quiet.
Min Yu adjusted his body as he embraced her tightly before closing his eyes satisfactorily.
She tilted her head slightly and could see his face up close. He looked very tired and had a severe case of dark circles under his eyes.
From the looks of it, he had not rested well for a long time.
Huo Yao did not stop Min Yu. She paused briefly, retrieved her phone from her pocket and turned it to silent mode.
After she was done, she placed her phone behind the couch and ignored it.
Before long, Huo Yao fell asleep unknowingly as well.

The sky gradually turned dark outside before it was pitch black.
In reality, Huo Yao had not slept well even a single night ever since Old Madam Yang passed away. Today, she unexpectedly finally got some rest.
When she woke up, Min Yu was nowhere to be seen. Initially, she was leaning against the couch’s backrest, but now she was lying flat on it with a blanket covering her.
Huo Yao slowly sat up on the couch and raised her head to check the clock on the wall. It was nearly 9:00 pm.
She had slept for four hours in total.
Huo Yao went into a daze. She did not expect herself to sleep so soundly.
Huo Yao’s stomach rumbled uncontrollably, making her snap out of her thoughts. She tidied her hair and put the blanket away. She stood up from the couch, put on her slippers, and walked toward the kitchen.
After checking in the kitchen and dining hall, she noticed that it was empty.
Huo Yao went to the second floor. Just as she placed her foot on the staircase, she noticed light coming from the door leading to the basement nearby.
She paused before turning back and heading for the basement.
