Min Yu knew that Huo Yao had probably yet to board the plane at this hour. When he failed to reach her on the phone, he automatically frowned, but he did not take it to heart. He simply assumed her phone was on silent mode, so she did not hear it. He did not try to call her a second time.
Min Yu paused briefly and said to Zhuo Yun, “Go pick up Huo Yao from the airport later. I’m going over to the hospital to see Old Madam Yang now.”
Zhuo Yun nodded. He knew Min Yu was unable to get Huo Yao on the phone. “Okay. I will bring Miss Huo straight to the hospital then.”
“Uh huh.” Min Yu boarded the chopper worriedly. He hoped nothing would happen to Old Madam Yang.
He hoped that she could at least wait until Huo Yao got there.

Meanwhile, at the airport. Chen Ming was unable to locate Huo Yao at all. It felt as though she had disappeared into thin air. He had checked every single airport entrance and exit but to no avail.
Chen Ming called off half the men at the airport 30 minutes later.
30 minutes had already passed. Since they were unable to find Miss Huo at the airport, this meant only one thing. She was long gone.
Shangguan Hou had indeed left the airport with Huo Yao before Chen Ming even realized she was gone.
After leaving the airport, he did not stay in the capital. Instead, he went straight to an airport belonging to a neighboring city.
Since Shangguan Yu was from the Huo family, he had to be very cautious if he wanted to bring her back to the base without raising suspicion.
After driving for over three hours, they finally arrived at the airport located in a neighboring city.
Shangguan Hou retrieved another human skin mask and some medical solution after getting off the car. He changed his disguise before entering the airport with Huo Yao.
Since there were only domestic flights in the airport, they could only take a flight to another city before transiting elsewhere.
Even though it was quite a roundabout, it was the safest option.
Since they had already made the necessary arrangements at the airport, Shangguan Hou was able to get around the airport using staff access. This meant, they were able to avoid the surveillance cameras altogether and could leave from there without a trace.
Before long, Shangguan Hou’s men placed Huo Yao in a private airport lounge before they went outside to stand guard.
Shangguan Hou raised his hand to check the time. There was one hour to go before it was time to fly. He glanced at Huo Yao in the corner. He pulled his small suitcase over and opened it to retrieve a syringe and medical solution.
Shangguan Hou filled the syringe with the medical solution, walked up to Huo Yao, and injected the contents of the syringe into her.
After the deed was done, he finally stopped worrying.
After all, Shangguan Yu was no ordinary woman, so it was better to be safe than sorry.
Shangguan Hou turned to walk up to the only bed in the private airport lounge. A man was lying on it.
It was none other than Shangguan Wei, also known as Mi Wei.
Shangguan Hou stood with his hands behind him and paused briefly. He inserted the silver needle into an acupuncture point on Mi Wei’s head and pulled it out. Mi Wei gradually regained consciousness.
Since Mi Wei had just regained consciousness, he was still very exhausted.
He looked up at the unfamiliar ceiling overhead. For a split second, he thought he was dead. When he heard Shangguan Hou’s voice, he finally snapped out of his grogginess.
“Guess who I found?” Shangguan Hou pulled up a chair beside him and sat down. He spoke in a happy tone and it was clear that he was in a good mood.
Mi Wei had been unconscious for a long time, so his face looked waxen. He looked at Shangguan Hou for some time without saying a word.
Shangguan Hou raised his chin and looked at Huo Yao as she sat leaning against the wall in the corner. He said in an airy tone, “See? That’s the person the family kept trying to save desperately.”
