All was fair in war. More importantly, Shangguan Hou had already increased the intensity of the dose, so it was far stronger than what he had used against her three years ago.
Since he had decided to personally show up and meet her, he naturally came well prepared.
Shangguan Hou was very confident.
“Is that so? Let’s see if you’ll get your way this time then.” Huo Yao rolled her sleeves up as she nodded.
He had picked the perfect spot. Even if they caused any commotion, no one could see or hear them.
She looked very calm and seemed completely unaffected by the drugs. Shangguan Hou frowned worriedly. Since he was wearing a human skin mask, it was impossible for anyone to see his face.
The young woman continued standing there ten seconds later. It finally dawned on Shangguan Hou that his drugs might have become useless against her.
Shangguan Hou knew that Huo Yao was an excellent fighter, so he snapped his fingers and called for backup. In an instant, dozens of fighters came out of hiding and appeared before Huo Yao’s eyes.
Shangguan Hou quickly approached Huo Yao. He attacked her on the shoulder with a powerful blow with all his might.
Huo Yao stood motionlessly. Just as Shangguan Hou’s hand was about to touch her, she smiled and veered slightly. Even though she looked like she was moving very slowly, she quickly grabbed Shangguan Hou by the arm.
Shangguan Hou was unable to continue moving his hand. He seemed to already see this coming and did not take it to heart. Instead, he smiled sinisterly.
His other hand was behind him and he suddenly moved it. In an instant, the silver needle between his fingertips pierced straight into Huo Yao.
“Do you think that’s all I’m capable of?” Shangguan Hou pulled out the needle and some blood could be seen on its tip. He smiled and looked at Huo Yao as he said smugly, “Do you think I came without a backup plan?”
Huo Yao narrowed her eyes in disbelief. She had already grabbed Shangguan Hou by the arm, but she suddenly felt tired. In an instant, she lost consciousness and passed out.
Shangguan Hou looked at her in disdain as she lay on the ground helplessly. No matter how good she was, it was futile. She had still fallen into his hands.
He told his men to take her away.
Before long, Huo Yao was placed into the car.
It was quiet in the parking lot and it seemed as though nothing had happened at all.

Chen Ming was still waiting for her in the VIP lounge area. He raised his hand to check his watch. 20 minutes had already passed since Miss Huo had gone to the bathroom, so she ought to be back by now.
Chen Ming frowned as he thought about her reaction before she left and could not help feeling worried.
He pondered briefly before taking out his phone to call Huo Yao.
The phone kept ringing until it stopped, but no one answered it. It finally dawned on Chen Ming that something had happened to her. He promptly stood up, hung up the phone, and strode towards the bathroom.
He asked a lady to check inside the bathroom. Sure enough, it was empty.
Chen Ming felt worried and guilty about letting this happen. He wasted no time and went straight to the airport surveillance control room. He also told his men to check all airport exits and vehicles and to keep an eye on all suspicious characters.
The airport staff was given a heads-up to assist Chen Ming in any way they could by their boss. When Chen Ming got to the surveillance control room, they promptly pulled out the relevant surveillance footage and assisted him in every way they could.
