Min Yu smiled as he kissed her on the neck. He held her hand and placed it on her chest. “You can’t deny that you like me.”
Huo Yao veered her head. The throbbing of his heart could be sensed on her hand, but she disregarded it. “You’re overthinking it.”
“Whatever… if you insist.” Min Yu came close to her ear and said, “You can forget about ever ditching me in your lifetime.”
Huo Yao trembled inside and opened her eyes wide. Her eyes were bright and beautiful. The moment Min Yu caught sight of them, he could not control himself.
He promptly held her face and kissed her deeply.
The kiss was not at all gentle this time. Instead, his kisses were particularly intense.
They were in love and nothing was more important than that.
A car suddenly appeared in the distance and drove over swiftly.
After pulling up, Yang Yi and Zhuo Yun got out of the car and walked over anxiously. They had just caught wind that Min Yu was in trouble.
“Boss, are you okay…”
Zhuo Yun stopped abruptly mid-sentence. He finally realized that Min Yu was embracing Huo Yao and they were leaning against the car door.
Min Yu and Huo Yao’s faces were intimately close together. When Min Yu glanced over coldly, Zhuo Yun swallowed the rest of his words.
The moment he spotted them, he knew he was dead meat.
From the looks of it, his boss was probably sending another miner to Africa real soon!
Yang Yi caught it faster than Zhuo Yun, so he had turned around and veered his eyes. He heaved a sigh of relief when he saw Min Yu in one piece.
Zhuo Yun composed himself and cleared his throat awkwardly with his head lowered. “Since you’re okay, we’ll make ourselves scarce.”
He turned to leave, pulling Yang Yi behind him, but Min Yu asked him to come back.
Min Yu did not let go of Huo Yao. He simply said, “Shall I get Zhuo Yun to send your friend to the hospital?”
Huo Yao gathered her thoughts and nodded. “That works.”
“Uh huh.” Min Yu took her car key and tossed it to Zhuo Yun. “Take Huo Yao’s car and send her friend to the hospital carefully.”
Zhuo Yun paused briefly before catching the car key.
Min Yu walked toward his car nearby holding Huo Yao’s hand. Before long, they drove off in the car as Zhuo Yun and Yang Yi watched from behind.
Zhuo Yun scratched his hair and looked at Yang Yi. “What friend?”
Yang Yi had an expressionless face as usual. He glanced at the car key and said, “Perhaps we should check inside Miss Huo’s car.”
Zhuo Yun hurriedly walked over. After opening the backseat car door, he undoubtedly found someone lying in the backseat.
He paused briefly and quickly got into the car before heading to the hospital.

Meanwhile, in the car.
Huo Yao had stopped being angry with Min Yu, so he changed the subject and asked Huo Yao some questions about the day’s happenings.
Huo Yao rubbed her temple gently. Other than the brain power test, she told him about all the events that had transpired earlier.
Huo Yao put down her hand and looked sideways at Min Yu. “I’m curious. What do they want from you? Why would they go through all this trouble to get you?”
“What do you mean by them?” Min Yu promptly caught on to something fishy.
Huo Yao pursed her lips and turned to look out of the window. Her eyes were bereft of warmth as she stared outside moodily.
From the moment Yuan Huan tested her brain power, she had an inkling of the mastermind’s identity.
Even if she wanted to avoid certain characters, there was no escaping her destiny.
Huo Yao smiled as she shook her head
Before long, the car arrived at the estate.
Huo Yao entered through the door after waving goodbye to Min Yu.
Huo Yulin had been waiting for her in the living room.
