Huo Yao continued using her phone. She answered Cheetah without so much as looking up. “I simply used some medicine to paralyze your nervous system. The effect will wear off in a couple of hours.”
Fu Ya had given Huo Yao the medication previously. She wanted to pass the medication to Shangguan Yun but ended up using it on these mercenaries.
Cheetah felt relieved when he heard that the effect was just temporary and was not poisonous. Still, he reiterated and said, “I hope you aren’t messing with me.”
After Huo Yao was done sharing her GPS location, she raised her head and replied mildly. “You aren’t worth my time.’
Cheetah went speechless.
Huo Yao put away her phone and ignored Cheetah. She looked at Min Yu. “Let’s go.”
Min Yu raised his brow. Since he was standing right beside Huo Yao, he naturally saw her posting a limited-time-only mission online.
She had one final trick up her sleeve.
His girlfriend wanted to make them pay for attacking him.
“Okay. Let’s go home.” Min Yu felt delighted inside, but he contained his joy. He cleared his throat before taking Huo Yao’s hand and walking out with her.
From behind, they looked like the perfect couple and were completely in sync.
When they finally disappeared out of sight, Cheetah slumped onto the ground powerlessly.
Min Yu was the heir of the Min family, so it was no surprise that he was a capable man, but he was intrigued by the young woman more. Despite her tender age, she had an innately imposing aura as well. She felt even more threatening than any mercenary he knew.
Even though he had not seen her fight yet, he could tell she was not to be trifled with.
Cheetah lowered his eyes and gritted his teeth as he removed the silver needle which had penetrated his entire hand. He suddenly felt relieved looking at the silver needle.
If she had attacked his heart with the needle, no amount of money could have saved him.
She had clearly spared them.
Cheetah was oblivious to what awaited him.
Huo Yao had promised that she would not touch him, but she did not say anything about putting a bounty on his head.
Since he was a mercenary, it was only natural that he had plenty of enemies. Also, he ranked high up in the trade, so lots of people wanted to take over his spot.
Things naturally would not end well for Cheetah.

Shortly after they left the warehouse, Huo Yao pulled her hand back. She took out her car key, pressed it and the car headlights lit up. She glanced at Min Yu. “I’m sure you drove here, right? I have to send my friend to the hospital.”
An ominous feeling emerged in Min Yu’s heart when Huo Yao’s attitude unexpectedly turned cold. He coughed as he walked beside her and said weakly, “I probably need to go to the hospital for a check-up as well.”
Huo Yao halted in her steps. She turned and said ambiguously, “Are you going to continue acting?”
Min Yu promptly went quiet.
Huo Yao shook her head and ignored him. Did he really think she did not witness him fighting Cheetah?
If she did not attack the mercenary with her silver needle, she wondered if he would have genuinely allowed Cheetah to strike him.
The more Huo Yao thought about it, the more annoyed she felt. She opened the car door and bent over to get in.
Min Yu pulled her back. He closed the car door and pinned her against the car door from the outside. “My bad.”
“Young Master Min is always right, isn’t it?” scoffed Huo Yao before she raised her hand and pushed him aside.
He held her even more tightly by the waist, so she frowned and said, “Let go.”
Even though Huo Yao was angry, Min Yu was in a brilliant mood. He placed his chin on Huo Yao’s shoulder and answered brightly. “I’m so happy.”
Huo Yao blurted out. “You must be crazy. I’m happy to drop you at the mental hospital.”
