Pei Rong was caught by surprise when Deputy Chairman Qin seemed confident that no one could cure Min Yu. He paused briefly before he decided not to keep harping on the subject. “In that case, it’s just a matter of time before Huo Yao hands over her prescriptions.”
“Uh huh,” acknowledged Deputy Chairman Qin.
He had to focus on getting himself promoted. Once he was promoted to the seat of chairman, it was just a matter of time before he could get the prescriptions.
Deputy Chairman Qin’s phone rang in his pocket interrupting his thoughts.
He retrieved his phone and checked it. After looking at his phone, he narrowed his eyes and did not answer it right away. Instead, he raised his head and glanced at Pei Rong.
Pei Rong hurriedly said, “Allow me to take my leave.”
He left the office and closed the door behind him.
Deputy Chairman Qin veered his eyes and answered the call.

Meanwhile, He Shu arrived at his rendezvous point with Zhuo Yun before long. Shortly after taking a seat, Zhuo Yun also arrived.
“Hello, Mr. He.” Zhuo Yun nodded politely. He sat down and placed a document folder on the table.
He Shu sat with restraint. “Miss Huo said that you could help me.”
“Uh huh.” Zhuo Yun could tell that He Shu felt reserved, so he said, “Don’t be nervous. Chairman Wang is close friends with Young Master Min. Now that Chairman Wang is in trouble, the Min family naturally wants to help.”
The moment Zhuo Yun mentioned the Min family, he realized Zhuo Yun was working for them. He pondered and asked. “How’s Young Master Min doing?”
Zhuo Yun shook his head and smiled. “Don’t worry. He’s doing well.”
Huo Yao had told He Shu to call Zhuo Yun and gave Zhuo Yun a heads up about it. This meant He Shu could be trusted, so Zhuo Yun spoke candidly.
He Shu was a smart man. When he heard what Zhuo Yun said, a notion emerged in his mind. He concluded that Min Yu probably did not suffer a so-called relapse.
Even though He Shu had come to a conclusion about Min Yu’s condition, he did not blatantly ask about it. “I’m glad he’s fine.”
Zhuo Yun nodded and got straight to the subject. He took out the documents and handed them to He Shu. He said calmly, “Qin Zheng can’t become the chairman.”
He Shu paused briefly before taking the documents. When he saw the first page, a stern look appeared on his face and he automatically tightened his grip on the document. “Qin Zheng…”
“Just illegal detention alone is enough to get him into serious trouble. Moreover, a lot of human experiment subjects have died on his watch.” Zhuo Yun received these files anonymously this morning. The moment he saw its contents, he was stunned.
A grave look emerged on He Shu’s face. He could not bear to go on reading the files any longer. He had thought earlier that Deputy Chairman Qin was an ambitious man, but he did not expect Deputy Chairman Qin to be involved in illegal human testing.
He had been doing it for years, but no one ever found out.
He Shu’s mind flew into chaos. The moment people found out about this, the Apothecaries’ Association’s reputation would be at great risk.
“Mr. Zhuo, are you going to…” He Shu parted his lips and asked hesitantly.
Zhuo Yun knew what He Shu wanted to say, so he interrupted He Shu. “I won’t leak this news. After all, a lot of people are probably involved in this and we need to investigate everything first.”
He Shu felt relieved upon hearing this.
He did not want the association’s reputation to get hurt because of Qin Zheng’s actions.
Zhuo Yun and He Shu did not continue chatting for long. After telling He Shu about a few ideas, they went on their ways respectively.
He had to go back and update him about the situation.

Before long, Zhuo Yun got back to Min Yu’s villa.
When he entered through the door, Huo Yao was just done giving Min Yu acupuncture treatment. She sat curled up on the couch and looked tired.
