The computer screen was dark initially but it quickly came to life without triggering the security system.
Huo Yulin was still trying to open the metal cabinet. He held his breath as he kept working on the lock dial but he failed yet again.
He looked a little worried since he had only one last shot left.
If he failed to access the cabinet the third time, the lock would get jammed for good and it would even trigger the alarm.
Huo Yulin inhaled deeply and tried the third time. He did not have much time to get this done.
After hacking into the computer, Huo Yao checked out its contents. The moment she accessed the medicine archives, her eyes turned cold.
They still had one minute to do this. Huo Yao had minimized the surveillance footage on the top right corner of the laptop screen. She noticed something amiss, so she quickly accessed the surveillance cameras located in basement two.
Three people were walking out of the lift.
Huo Yao pressed the mike. “Someone’s coming. You have to leave now.”
Huo Yulin said nothing and simply kept working on the cabinet. He had already gone so far, and refused to give up at this moment.
If he failed now, it was impossible for him to try it another time.
Huo Yao glanced at the laptop screen and said to Huo Yulin, “You have 80 seconds to go before the security system goes back to normal.”
Sweat trickled down Huo Yulin’s forehead down to his mask when he heard what Huo Yao said.

He finally heard a click before the metal cabinet door opened. By now, he had 70 seconds left on the clock.
Huo Yulin heaved a sigh of relief.
The metal cabinet consisted of several sections and resembled a small refrigerator containing a wide array of medicine.
Huo Yulin looked at the blue solution located in the third section and narrowed his eyes. He quickly opened the drawer and retrieved all 50 vials.
He brought the solution to the sink beside him and emptied the contents into the sink.
Huo Yulin smiled as he watched the solution flow down the drain before he turned on the tap and ensured that all remnants of the solution were washed down as well.
Meanwhile, the mechanical voice could be heard speaking through the mike.
“You have 40 seconds left. Three people are coming straight for you from the lift located on the northwest side. If you don’t leave now, you’re going to have trouble leaving.”
Huo Yao spoke anxiously as she looked at the surveillance cameras.
“Roger,” acknowledged Huo Yulin. He walked up in front of the metal cabinet and quickly opened another section.
Nothing could be found in the section.
Huo Yulin shut the cabinet disappointedly. He turned to look at the computer located in the center of the room. Huo Yao had already hacked into it. He quickly walked over to the computer.
He clicked on several drives and checked out their contents. Other than medical reports, nothing unusual could be found. He was unable to locate what he was looking for.
Huo Yulin could only turn off the computer and head to the exit when he heard what Huo Yao said.
Huo Yao was looking at the surveillance camera. She could see people walking through the corridor as her third older brother left the laboratory. She narrowed her eyes and said deeply, “It’s too late. They’re here.”
Huo Yulin put his hand into his pocket and looked up to see people coming towards the laboratory in the corridor.
The three men also saw Huo Yulin standing at the laboratory door. The instant they made eye contact, the three men automatically halted in their steps.
