Huo Yao glanced sideways at the attackers. She smiled with no restrain but her eyes were bereft of any warmth. In an instant, she moved in on them with the stick.
A look of surprise swept across Chen Ming’s face when he saw Huo Yao’s moves. However, this was no time to get distracted. He swiftly raised his leg, kicked an attacker away, and started to take care of these people.
In no more than five minutes, dozens of highly skilled fighters lay sprawled on the ground. Before they could even scream, they were taken down by the unknown man and woman.
A man gradually walked out from inside holding another man covered with blood in front of him. The man’s face was covered with so much blood that he was almost unrecognizable.
Huo Yao narrowed her eyes. She held the stick so tightly that veins throbbed on the back of her hands.
It was her second older brother.
The man was armed with a gun and he was pointing the gun at Huo Tingrui’s temple. He seemed more violent than any of the other men on the ground. He held Huo Tingrui by the collar and sneered. “Do you want to die?”
Huo Tingrui had completely passed out. Even though the man was holding him by the collar, he did not react at all. His arms were hanging from the sides of his body and blood was trickling down to his fingertips.
Huo Yao looked really serious. She headed towards the man with the wooden stick. In an instant, Chen Ming held her by the arm.
“No, Miss Huo.” Chen Ming could tell that Huo Yao was a good fighter, but the culprit holding Young Master Tingrui hostage came armed with a gun.
It was no primitive weapon and an accident could happen anytime.
It was not right for her to take such risks.
Huo Yao paused briefly. She turned sideways and glanced at Chen Ming and flung his hand aside.
The man holding Huo Tingrui captive watched as Huo Yao approached him. He moved his gun slightly before holding it up in midair and aiming for her head.
Chen Ming’s eyes constricted. He quickly moved in and took the gun from the man from behind.
In a split second, Huo Yao attacked him with the stick. Just as the man watched in shock, she appeared in front of him at a shocking speed. She raised her hand with utter disregard for his gun and snapped his wrist altogether leaving the gun falling from his hand onto the ground.
The man winced from the excruciating pain. He did not expect Huo Yao to be such an excellent fighter. He had flung Huo Tingrui aside altogether. When he wanted to grab Huo Tingrui again, a crushing weight struck him on the chest as Huo Yao kicked him.
He fell onto the ground and was incapable of standing back up.
Huo Yao held onto Huo Tingrui without even looking at the man. She turned to place Huo Tingrui’s head on her shoulder while she took his pulse with her other hand.
Huo Yao frowned. She pulled her hand back and examined Huo Tingrui to see if he was injured anywhere else. After examining him, even though she did not seem angrier than before, she remained frowning.
Chen Ming hurried over to help support Huo Tingrui. “Young Master Tingrui is injured. We have to get him to the hospital immediately.”
Huo Yao acknowledged softly before helping to support Huo Tingrui and putting him in the car. She got into the backseat and let Chen Ming drive.
Chen Ming acknowledged softly and got in. He glanced at the people squirming on the ground before making a call. After calling men to come over and take care of the attackers, he got into the driver’s seat.
He started the engine before long and headed for the nearest hospital.
