Huo Yao glanced at Dai Jie sideways and raised her brow. “It can’t be helped since she’s a dunce.”
Dai Jie’s cheeks twitched. Although he knew Huo Yao was referring to Jiang Mingyue and her research team, he unexpectedly felt that Huo Yao was making fun of him too.
Dai Jie cleared his throat. A thought crossed his mind and his voice got serious. “Although they did not achieve 100% accuracy, 97% accuracy is equally high. Moreover, she plans on submitting her thesis to a journal and it stands a high chance of getting selected.”
He knew which journal Jiang Mingyue planned on making the submission to. It was an internationally recognized journal from a reputable research association. They only accepted applications once every two years. It was a great affirmation for articles to get accepted. Also, it was the foundation for rising to great heights in the industry.
Even though Jiang Mingyue did not achieve 100% success for the comparative test, journals mainly cared about the scientific value of each paper and not just the outcome.
Huo Yao simply smiled as she shook her head. “Sorry. It won’t get accepted.”
Dai Jie noticed the confidence on Huo Yao’s face. He could not help scratching his head and asking quickly. “Why are you so sure?”
Huo Yao replied airily. “Just a gut feeling.”
The moment she finished her sentence, she continued walking. She raised her hand and waved it in midair. “Thank you for everything today. I am going back to the department.”
Dai Jie watched as Huo Yao gradually left. After some time, he finally snapped out of his daze. For some reason, he suddenly felt Huo Yao had a particularly mysterious aura.
After standing where he was for some time, Dai Jie pondered before he took out his phone and made a call instead of going back to the department. He chatted briefly before he turned for the administrative block.

Meanwhile, at Liu Qian’s office.
The moment Liu Qian heard what Dai Jie said, he looked incredibly angry.
No wonder Jiang Mingyue had surprisingly stopped asking for his help with data analysis. She was probably afraid that he would find out about the plagiarism.
“Mr. Liu, Jiang Mingyue is Mr. Qi’s disciple, so there is nothing we can do about her. Now that this has happened, I am worried Huo Yao will have a hard time at school.”
Dai Jie had not reached out to Liu Qian for justice. Instead, he simply wanted to see if there was any way Liu Qian could protect Huo Yao.
Despite knowing Huo Yao only for a short time, he could see she was upright in nature. Moreover, they were from the same division, so it made absolute sense for him to help her.
Liu Qian glanced at Dai Jie. In reality, he felt very happy. Anyone else in the same shoes would have feared incurring Qi Hui’s wrath and would never have spoken the truth.
Liu Qian inhaled deeply. He clenched his fists and pounded the office table. “Since Jiang Mingyue was shameless enough to plagiarize, how can we allow her to get away with it? This isn’t over yet!”
The moment Dai Jie saw his reaction, he thought that he had expressed himself wrongly, so he said anxiously, “Mr. Liu, we cannot afford to offend Mr. Qi. I told you about it hoping you could…”
Liu Qian raised his hand and interrupted. “Dai Jie, I know what you mean, but I know what to do. There is no need for you to get involved in it.”
Jiang Mingyue had the gall to do this simply because she was Mr. Qi’s disciple.
She might have a backer, but she was not the only person with a strong advocate.
Liu Qian pondered deeply. After his recent interaction with Zhao Lian, he could tell Huo Yao and Zhao Lian were closer than they seemed. Otherwise, Zhao Lian would not have specially come to help when Qi Hui accused them of stealing the archives.
Liu Qian picked up his phone from the side table.
