The next day.
Huo Yao headed over to the laboratory after class in the afternoon.
The moment she entered the room, she saw Liu Qian inside the laboratory writing on some draft paper. He waved her over when he saw her. “Huo Yao, can you come over and take a look at my cellular differentiation and see if there are any problems?”
Huo Yao walked over unhurriedly. After looking at the draft paper, she picked up a pencil and drew a few lines on it. “I think if you swap these two around, it might be better.”
Liu Qian scrutinized the paper and felt the same way. He raised his head and smiled ambiguously at Huo Yao. “Well done. From the looks of it, you are an expert at cell differentiation as well.”
Huo Yao went quiet.
The moment Tang Jun heard the praise, he reached his head over slightly and said, “She is also very good at genetic data. She was the one who helped Dai Jie and me when we encountered a problem yesterday.”
Huo Yao’s face twitched. “…I just happened to know a little.”
Liu Qian raised his brow without exposing her. He glanced at his watch before asking Tang Jun. “Oh yes. Where is Dai Jie? Is he busy today?”
“He went to help a second year female student to do data analysis. I think he will probably be done by now,” answered Tang Jun.
Liu Qian nodded without asking further. After straightening out the draft paper on the table, he said, “I have to leave for a while. Why don’t you start on your work first? If you have any questions, send them to our group chat. Mr. Yuan will come in a minute, so you can ask him then.”
The moment he finished his sentence, he left with the draft paper.
Huo Yao touched her nose. She pulled out a chair and sat down before turning on the computer.
Before long, Dai Jie finally entered the laboratory. Shortly after he took a seat, Yuan Huan came walking into the laboratory.
He was dressed in a long black coat with a dark-colored shirt inside. His well-defined features made him give off a cool aura. The last time he had appeared, he gave off an intellectual aura. He seemed a little different today.
Yuan Huan came in with a stack of documents. After placing them on the table by the side, he greeted everyone before he cut to the chase and shared knowledge about Artificial Life.
Huo Yao leaned into the seat lazily with her elbow leaning against the armrest as she spun a pencil in her hand. Although her eyes were lowered, she instantly knew why Yuan Huan was invited to help them after hearing what Yuan Huan said.
He genuinely knew his stuff.
Yuan Huan quickly checked their work before walking up beside Huo Yao.
There was a faint scent coming from him. It was neither his odor nor branded perfume. Instead, the smell resembled a medical solution.
Although it wasn’t overpowering, Huo Yao frowned almost imperceptibly.
She clicked on the work she had done for the first phase of the project and put down the mouse so that Yuan Huan could check her work.
Yuan Huan failed to detect the expression on Huo Yao’s face. He took the mouse and deftly clicked on the coding. He looked surprised when he saw her work.
“There seems to be something different about your calculations,” said Yuan Huan sometime later.
Huo Yao sat on the chair with her hands on the armrest as she tapped her fingers gently and replied. “I tried something a little different when I derived X.”
“No wonder.” Yuan Huan narrowed his eyes slightly.
He continued moving the mouse and suddenly asked when he got to the last part of her calculations., “You are very good at Math. Have you been doing this on the side as an interest?”
