Huo Tingrui’s expression froze briefly.
Huo Yao had already moved her eyes since her phone was vibrating in her pocket.
After looking at the phone, Huo Yao got up from the couch. She picked up her coat from the couch and put it on as she said, “I am heading out to take something.”
Huo Tingrui watched as she walked to the door and heaved a sigh of relief inside.
He pressed his left shoulder and pondered. Fortunately, she failed to detect his injury.

The sky was already dark. Huo Yao saw a man standing outside after walking through the garden.
He was dressed in a dark coat and gave off a dignified glacial aura. He was carrying a bag in one hand with the other hand stuck inside his pants pocket. Initially, his head was lowered. The moment he detected someone’s presence, he raised his head and looked over.
Huo Yao touched her nose before she walked over to open the door.
Min Yu raised his brow when he saw Huo Yao dressed in a thick coat. “Why are you dressed so warmly?”
Huo Yao grunted in a stifled tone.
The moment Min Yu caught Huo Yao’s nasal tone, he handed the bag to her and held her hand. He realized that it was icy cold and asked her. “Did you catch a cold?”
“I have already recovered.” Huo Yao cleared her throat. The warmth in his hand seemed to drive away the coldness in her fingertips.
Min Yu glanced at her as he smiled ambiguously without saying a word. He held her other hand and quietly stood in front of her. After the coldness in her hands dissipated, he placed her hands inside her coat pockets. “Go back and have an early night.”
Huo Yao acknowledged softly. She raised her head and saw Min Yu’s slightly dark eye circles. She paused briefly before she said, “You too.”
Min Yu nodded. The wind was gusting outside. Huo Yao’s eyes looked bright and beautiful. He smiled and suddenly reached his hand out to embrace her. He placed his cheek by her ear before he finally let her go moments later and said, “Uh huh. Go back inside.”
“Okay.” When Huo Yao got to the door, she turned slightly and saw Min Yu still standing where he was. She contemplated before she asked. “What kind of problem did you encounter?”
Min Yu was briefly surprised. He shook his head. “Nothing.
Huo Yao straightened the bag hanging on her arm and said without asking further, “Good night.”
“Good night.”
Min Yu looked at Huo Yao deeply until she was completely out of sight before he veered his eyes.
Min Yu’s car was parked on the roadside. After getting into the car, he drove out of the estate instead of going back to his villa.

After Huo Yao went back into the living room with her bag, she saw Huo Tingrui drinking a glass of warm water. He was planning to go back and rest after this.
Huo Yao placed the bag on the cabinet beside her. She contemplated before she raised her head and asked. “Oh yes. Brother Tingrui, why did Fang Chen ask to see you?”
“We just chatted over dinner,” replied Huo Tingrui. He thought about Fang Chen’s reaction during dinner before he paused and continued. “I have a feeling that he wanted to talk to you.”
Huo Yao pondered briefly. She nodded and replied. “Okay.”
Fang Chen’s teacher was probably done taking the last batch of medication which she had given him.
Huo Yulin glanced at Huo Yao. His left shoulder was in great pain. He was afraid she might notice something to be amiss, so he did not continue with their conversation. Instead, he told her to rest well before heading upstairs.
Huo Yao leaned against the couch armrest and looked at Huo Tingrui from behind. For some reason, she felt that his body seemed rather stiff.
His left shoulder was particularly low and it looked as though there was something pressing down on it.
Huo Yao narrowed her eyes.
