Tan Yueru walked into the ward with a canister in her hands.
Then, Mu Yichen immediately stood up and stood in front of the bed.
“Mom, why are you here?”
Tan Yueru stopped in her tracks and glared at him. “What do you mean, you brat? My daughter-in-law is in the hospital, so can’t I come and visit her?”
When he heard that, Mu Yichen widened his eyes in surprise, unable to speak.
Tan Yueru then pushed him away. “Move aside, don’t make my granddaughter and daughter-in-law wait any longer for their food. They haven’t eaten all night, I’m sure they’re hungry! Will you take accountability if they starve?”
Mu Yichen was speechless.
‘Madam Tan, your own son hasn’t eaten all night as well, have you forgotten about him?!’
However, Tan Yueru didn’t even look at him and walked straight to the bed.
When the little dumpling saw her, she immediately sat up in alert and hugged Luo Chenxi’s arm before she pouted, “Go away, Grandma. Don’t bully Big Sister!!”
Seeing the little dumpling being so protective of her, Luo Chenxi couldn’t help but smile as she lowered her head to kiss the little dumpling.
‘I don’t care what others think of me so long as the little dumpling’s with me.’
Unexpectedly, Tan Yueru walked in front of her and placed the canister on her bedside table.
Then, she took out a few steaming hot dishes from within.
After that, Tan Yueru smiled, “Daughter-In-Law! Look, here’s some chicken porridge that I made especially for you. I’ve asked your doctor and found that you’re only able to have a liquid diet since your throat is injured. So, you wouldn’t be able to eat the stewed ginseng chicken soup that I boiled for you initially. You’d be better off with some porridge for now.”
Luo Chenxi’s eyes nearly popped out of her sockets.
‘Tan Yueru… Has taken the wrong medicine too?!
‘Or am I hallucinating? Am I still unconscious since last night?
‘Why are all of them behaving so abnormally?’
In fact, even the little dumpling was surprised as she tilted her little head and said, “Grandma?”
“Tang Tang, be a good girl now. Grandma’s made you your favourite crystal shrimp dumpling.”
The little dumpling looked at the crystal-clear shrimp dumpling and gulped.
However, she still remembered her duty to firmly defend her Big Sister, hence she sat on the bed without moving an inch.
When Tan Yueru saw this, she sat on the side of the bed and held Luo Chenxi’s hand as she said very sincerely, “I’ve misunderstood you in the past, Daughter-In-Law. I guess I really am old and muddle-headed!”
“Ah?” Luo Chenxi was dazed.
“We’ve already seen what actually happened yesterday through the surveillance cameras. It was you who saved Tang Tang with your own life, so our family is very grateful to you! Also, Yichen has also explained to us about the real reason why Tang Tang was frightened that day and realized that we’ve really misunderstood you! I didn’t expect that Bai Xinxin, the girl whom I’ve watched growing up, would turn out to be a monster! To think that she even framed you!
“Sigh, it’s my fault for not being able to see people for who they really are!”
Tan Yueru looked annoyed as she shook her head and sighed. Then, she said, “I’m really sorry for everything I’ve done. But, whatever’s happened was all my fault, Yichen has always stood by your side and almost had a falling out with me, his own mother! The feelings he has towards you are absolutely genuine!”
“Mom! What are you talking about?”
Mu Yichen’s ears turned red when he heard those words, hence he interrupted her whilst feeling embarrassed.
Then, Tan Yueru turned her head and glared at him. “Why are you still here? We’re having a women’s talk, you may leave now!”
“I…”
Mu Yichen was utterly defeated, while Luo Chenxi couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
‘I finally understand what’s happening now.
‘Tan Yueru must’ve seen through Bai Xinxin’s true colors, so she’s regretted her actions and has now especially come here to apologize to me.
‘Actually, I’m not actually dissatisfied with Madam Tan.
‘After all, when I myself heard what Luo Chenxin had done to the little dumpling, I was so angry that I even wanted to kill her.
‘So, there’s no way Tan Yueru wouldn’t be angry since she’s the little dumpling’s grandmother.’
At that thought, Luo Chenxi smiled at the frowning man and gestured for him to leave first.
Thus, although Mu Yichen was extremely unwilling, he still turned around and left in the end.
“Daughter-In-Law, try this chicken porridge, I made it myself…”
Hearing the voice from within the ward, Mu Yichen stopped in his tracks.
Then, his expression instantly relaxed and a smile flashed across his eyes.
At that moment, Zhuo Feng walked over. “Eldest Young Master, Second Young Master Bai called several times a moment ago to ask about Miss Xinxin. What do you think…”
