Qiao Nian wasn’t easily bothered by nature. After thinking things through, she didn’t find it awkward or uncomfortable. She relaxed thereafter.
Ye Wangchuan placed a glass of water before her. He sat there leisurely but with such charm. “What do you want to eat?”
“Anything will do.” Qiao Nian was typing away on her cell phone. She had too many messages coming in. She propped her chin up with her hand rather casually and didn’t even look up at him. “I’ll eat anything you guys order, I’m not picky.”
Ye Wangchuan snickered upon hearing that. His beautiful hand rubbed his temple, his eyes practically smiling. “Let’s just order a few dishes, then.”
Qiao Nian was still looking at her cell phone as she said, “Mm.”
Ye Wangchuan ordered a few dishes off the menu, then whispered something to the waiter at the end.
The waiter looked at him in shock, then quietly kept the menu and brisk-walked to place the order.
Gu San didn’t hear what he said to the waiter. Seeing that Qiao Nian was still on her cell phone, he suddenly recalled something. “Miss Qiao, you’re only taking your examinations on the 6th. What do you plan to do in the next few days? Sightsee? Master Wang grew up here, he can take you around.”
Ye Wangchuan excitedly looked at her and said in his deep voice, “Do you want to tour Beijing?”
Qiao Nian’s eyes still did not leave her cell phone as she replied distractedly, “We’ll see, I might not have the time.”
Gu San looked disappointed. “Miss Qiao, you’ve got other plans?”
That didn’t make sense. This was Miss Qiao’s first time in Beijing. She wasn’t close to anyone else besides them, what other plans could she have?
Unless she was planning to stay in the hotel room to study?
But Gu San didn’t think this was Qiao Nian’s style.
Back in Rao City, he hardly ever saw her studying. It was unlikely that Miss Qiao would suddenly become nervous about her examinations and want to study more.

She thought that the other party might not be seeing her message anytime soon. They hardly contacted each other, and there were usually long intervals between messages.
Who would’ve known that the message would come back within seconds?

Then, it was another message.
[Nie: Have you found a place yet? Do you want to stay at my place?]
Qiao Nian rested her chin on her hand, her eyes dark and cool.

She had a few properties in Beijing, but she hadn’t managed them after buying them. It was too troublesome to pack things up and move into any of them, so she would rather just stay in a hotel. She could put up at one near Qing University so it would be easier for her to commute.
She told Jiang Li not to let the Jiang Family know about her arrival in Beijing, lest she trouble them.
Since she hadn’t even informed the Jiang Family, it made even less sense to trouble someone else.
