Huo Xishen soon saw through her intentions.
He grabbed Yan Jinyi’s cell phone and saw that the wallpaper on her lock screen was that of a doll holding a large gold nugget.
The corners of Huo Xishen’s eyes twitched and he launched the camera app to take a photo of Yan Jinyi.
The entire process took less than a minute.
“You’re done so quickly?”
“Yes.”
“Are you sure that you got a clear shot of me?”

Yan Jinyi took her cell phone back and looked at the photos, only to realize that they were quite well-shot.
With her hands in the pockets of her coat, she raised her chin slightly and smiled brightly while posing in front of the fireworks that served as a beautiful backdrop.
Huo Xishen walked over and leaned against the railing. “Madam, there’s something called getting all the right angles.”

After saying that, she turned around to leave but Huo Xishen suddenly stopped her.
Yan Jinyi raised her brows and stared at her wrist which he was holding tightly, sensing the warmth of his palm.

Huo Xishen let go and looked her in the eye with a deep gaze.
Yan Jinyi rubbed her hands with a lewd smiel.
‘Since it’s a birthday gift, Doggy Huo definitely wouldn’t be too stingy with it.’
Amidst her expectant gaze, Huo Xishen pulled out a delicate box from the pocket of his coat.
The surface of the box was made of velvet and Yan Jinyi could tell from the material that it contained something expensive.
He slowly opened the lid to reveal a ring.
It had a simple design with a small but exquisite diamond on the top and a vine-like ring body.
“You got me a ring?” Yan Jinyi was a little surprised.
“We’re married after all. I do owe you a ring, Darling.”
As he spoke, Huo Xishen grabbed Yan Jinyi’s hand and put it on for her.
