The youth with a pair of wings on his back was quite swift, and he quickly reached the crowd along with a large group of guards. He had husky men in heavy armor, archers holding longbows, as well as spellcasters holding a Magic Staff. Most of them had a High-Level Deity’s power, and there were many people with an apex High-Level Deity’s power among them. There were also several guards whose bodies had obscure Energy Ripples, and they were unfathomable.
What surprised the crowd was that almost half of the numerous guards had a tall stature and were pretty women with long legs. They either wore miniskirts that couldn’t be any shorter, or gowns with an open front. Each one was sexier and more mesmerizing than the other.
They didn’t seem like Wanderers or guards. Instead, they seemed like slutty women on an outing. After they came here, they managed to quickly attract the gazes of the numerous Wanderers. The emotions of people who had traveled outside for many years and hadn’t touched women for a long time were stirred up by this. They were surprised by this, and they envied the youngster that was the leader of this group.
Other people were all scared and on the edge upon entering the Graveyard of Gods and Devils, and they were worried that they might run into a powerful Divine Beast or Demon. They were all fretting over where they could get several treasures, while the winged youth had unexpectedly brought him a large group of pretty female guards. Nothing was better than this!
There was great disparity!
There were many people with good familial circumstances that had some influence in their hometown, and there were many young and talented people among them. But, after they compared themselves to the winged youth, they understood what was a truly spoiled brat.
It seemed like this matter was more troublesome than they imagined!
When the black-robed old man, Wilcox, and Richardson saw the large group of guards behind the youth, they quickly exchanged a glance. They were deeply worried, and even a fool would understand that this guy came from a great faction upon seeing his large group. They had run, by mistake, into a great faction–an extraordinary, great faction.
Scott was already quite powerful, yet he still wasn’t at the same level as the several personal guards behind the youth.
Swoosh!
The youth folded his silver wings and landed there slowly like an angel. His expression was ice-cold, and his gaze was sharp. When he saw the bald man’s badly mangled chest, he furrowed his brows and said calmly, “Scott, what is the matter?”
“Young master, I had found a suspicious guy, but he wasn’t willing to divulge where is the object even at death’s door. Later, an Elf came out to defend this suspicious guy. I suspect that they are accomplices.” When Scott faced the youth, who wore an ice-cold expression, he acted carefully, like a mouse that had sighted upon a cat. “I planned to take them both with me to make an investigation and get back the stolen object, but I didn’t expect that this group of people opposite me would obstruct me by force.”
“Huh… accomplices?”
When the youth saw the Chief Elven Priestess that held a Magic Staff, his eyes lit up. He traveled outside for so many years and had seen all kinds of women, but women such as the Chief Elven Priestess were still rarely seen.
The Chief Elven Priestess’s long hair fluttered in the wind, and she wore a long, white robe that made her skin seem more snow-white and tender. She also had a unique, green belt around her waist that conformed to her graceful air and it made her thin waist seem more eye-catching. Beautiful curves were hidden behind her large robe!
The youth was sick of looking at women’s bare thighs and fair chest, and the Chief Elven Priestess’s clothing was a pleasant change to him.
“Is it a noble and beautiful Elf?”
The Chief Elven Priestess seemed like a fairy, who didn’t belong to the mortal world. She had an outstanding demeanor. The more the youth observed her, the more he liked her.
“Good. Pretty good. Scott, come over and recount this matter in detail,” the youth looked at the mangled wound on the bald man’s chest and instructed him calmly.
At first, the youth was quite angry, because he looked for the Dragon Head Ring he lost for a long time, yet he still couldn’t find it. He planned to severely punish the bald man who didn’t guard it well. But, after he saw the beautiful Chief Elven Priestess and the bald man that fawned over her, most of his anger disappeared.
The youth was good at discerning people’s thoughts through their body language. He looked at the husky, dying man in black armor before he looked at the mesmerizing Chief Elven Priestess near him. He rolled his eyes and managed to quickly discern the bald man’s intentions.
None knew the character of his personal guard, Scott, more clearly than him, and he knew that he was trying to make up for his mistake with a great contribution. He managed to quickly understand the whole sequence of events after hearing a few words.
“Sir, this is a misunderstanding. It’s just a misunderstanding.” Wilcox strode forward by several steps and said, “We have just come over from the Red River, and we just entered the camp. We saw a warrior lying on the ground and screaming miserably because he was beaten. Our companion couldn’t bear it and uttered several words about this, and she caused this misunderstanding inadvertently.”
Wilcox had traveled outside for innumerable time and had a large amount of experience. He wore a smile across his face, and he hoped to explain this matter clearly. Their group’s power was pretty good because they had several Wanderers with a High-Level Deity’s power, in addition to Richardson. But they still weren’t at the same level as the enemy.
He didn’t want to have a conflict with these people unless they didn’t have any better choices left.
“We will know whether it’s a misunderstanding or not after you go back with us so that we can carry out an investigation.” A guy as thin as a match, who was thinner than the Corpse Wizard King, was behind the youth, and he stepped forward. He said coldly, “Any suspicious person will go with us, and even a group of apex High-Level Deities will have to go with us, let alone a trifling Mid-Level Deity.”
“Hehe, that is right. Take all women, as for men?” A fatty, who seemed like a meatball, rolled over as he spoke, and he wore a lecherous smile on his face. “The men had only 2 choices: they could either go back with us obediently and help us in our investigation, or they could cut off their necks and spare us the trouble of doing so by ourselves.”
The fat and thin men were too arrogant, and they stood in the left and right sight of the youth like the Generals Heng and Ha. Their bodies emitted obscure Energy Ripples, and one’s Divine Consciousness wasn’t able to reach the one meter-radius around them. They possessed unfathomable power!
The men would be killed, and the women would be taken away, wouldn’t they?
Wilcox exchanged a glance with Richardson. They understand that there was no leeway left. It was obvious that those people didn’t take their group seriously due to their team’s group power.
“We won’t let off any suspicious person, and we will make a thorough investigation of this affair.” The youth paused for a moment before he said, “However, our Algernon Divine Branch has always handled everything fairly. I’m Algernon Dio, and I will give you a chance. All of you can come at us together. You just to defeat one of the two guards next to me, and we will promptly leave.”
The youth, Dio, wore a smile across his face, and he seemed very confident in his two guards. Most of the opposite party’s members were just Mid-Level Deities or inadequate warriors with Sacred-Level and Domain-Level’s power. Even a group of High-Level Deities wouldn’t be a match for his two personal guards!
Algernon Divine Branch?
The body of the black-robed old man, Wilcox, and Richardson shivered, and it was the same for the knowledgeable Wanderers in the vicinity. Even though they all realized that the youth’s group belonged to a great faction, they still didn’t expect that they came from the Order Plane’s renowned Algernon Divine Branch.
Nobody knew the number of experts of Algernon, and none could explain clearly the terror of its power. The people only knew that several thousand years ago, it had broken into a conflict with a Divine Branch called Lamar, which had many believers, and several hundred thousand High-Level Deities. Several powerhouses of Algernon Divine Branch joined hands, and they managed to slaughter all of Lamar’s members. Even the Divine Lord Lamar died, and his soul was extinguished.
The people also knew that fifty thousand years ago, several small Divine Branches allied themselves and resisted Algernon Divine Branch, but their Materialistic Plane was destroyed in a single night.
For the past innumerable years, Lamar Divine Branch got a lofty status thanks to many bloody slaughters, and it had great prestige in the Order Plane. It also had an unimaginable amount of resources in various Planes. The number of its experts and its power was beyond people’s imaginations!
It was no wonder that the bald man dared to state previously that he would kill all subordinates of the King of Darkness that he sighted upon. It turned out that it was due to this!
When the crowd thought back to Scott’s aggressive attitude, they finally understood everything. It was only a colossal faction such as Algernon Divine Branch that was qualified to confront the influential King of Darkness.
“Hehe, is this even fair?” When the crowd was still shocked, Yang Ling sneered coldly. “Aren’t you just a pervert who wanted to use your great power to capture our beautiful female companion. Why do you have to act so hypocritically and talk about fairness?”
When Yang Ling saw the treacherous-looking Dio, he felt quite unwell, and, in his eyes, this guy was worse than the brutal, bald man. He obviously just wanted to capture the Chief Elven Priestess, yet he still talked about fairness and acted as if he was just a good person. He was really shameless!
The enemy’s power was great–too great–and just two of his men made him feel that great pressure was weighing down on him. If he was left without a better choice, Yang Ling surely wouldn’t choose to antagonize him. But one of their men had even stated something such as “killing all men and capturing all women”, and he expressed that he wouldn’t give up. This was why there wasn’t any room for reconciliation!
In this situation, it would be better to throw all caution to the wind and risk everything, rather than trying to compromise stupidly. He surely wouldn’t surrender, no matter what, and none should even dream about capturing–in front of him–the Chief Elven Priestess, who had always taken care of him.
Yang Ling looked at the numerous powerful guards behind Dio and observed with his senses the Energy Ripples within their bodies. Soon after, Yang Ling took a deep breath and stroked the hilt of the Battle Soul Blade on his back, while his Wizard Core started releasing tremendous Protective Wizard Power with every breath. He made preparations for the worst situation possible!
