Lu Xinyi opened her eyes and saw him staring at her.
“What?”
Shen Yi shrugged his shoulders. He really didn’t want to piss her off before he could lay down his proposal.
“Well, about the deal I was talking about earlier. I want you to —”
“Hey, look. Your girlfriend is watching us.” Lu Xinyi pointed a finger on Xia Yuhan’s direction who was caught off guard. Her eyes so wide, she looked like a kid caught stealing a cookie from a jar.
Following her finger, Shen Yi cursed to himself for not noticing that Xia Yuhan had been watching them the whole time. He couldn’t make a deal with Lu Xinyi like this. Disappointed that he cannot talk to his Miss Pancakes without disturbance, the smile on his face was replaced by a scowl.
He abruptly sat up from his seat surprising Lu Xinyi. He grabbed her arm and forced her to follow him.
“Hey! My food! I’m not done yet with my breakfast.” Lu Xinyi complained as she tries to struggle on his tight hold.
“Oh? I think you’re already done, my love. You are just eating dessert. Aren’t you afraid that I will replace you with a sexy beautiful woman?” Shen Yi sounds louder than his usual tone.
Lu Xinyi gaped at him and once again, didn’t notice that she was allowing him to drag her somewhere else again. Why was he parading her as his lover anyway?
“Like I care! Gimme back my cheesecake!” she whined but Shen Yi ignored her words.
“But my love, I thought you said you need to lose weight?”
She threw a glare to Mr. Hollandaise. Rude! How dare him used the weight card to defeat her? She wasn’t overweight in the first place. Well, she might have overeaten these past days but hey, being brokenhearted is a good reason to eat anything you want.
Lu Xinyi pulled her arm but failed. She could only look back at the table where her delicious cheesecake was left behind.
‘So long, my cheesecake,’
*sobs*
‘This evil man separated the two of us but I must come back to him with a vengeance.’
*sobs*
She was so distracted by her favorite dessert that she didn’t realize Shen Yi brought her to one of the private suites on the cruise ship.
‘Too late to run away now, eh? Xinyi?’
Her eyes wander around. She really didn’t expect this what the luxury suites look like. She’d never been to one but assuming that rich people like to get the best from the rest, maybe she shouldn’t be surprised at all.
Shen Yi let her looked around his suite and was amused to see her eyes sparkling with delight. ρꪖꪕᦔꪖꪕꪫꪣꫀꪶ
“This is your suite?” she asked.
“Yes,”
“Holy sh*t. Are you a drug lord or something?” Lu Xinyi exclaimed. Her jaw dropped when she stepped into his suite. She was really surprised to see the difference between her cabin and his suite. It made her cabin look a shoebox compared to his.
Shen Yi chuckled on her words before shaking his head.
“The words that come out of your mouth sometimes….” He sighed. “I work in a real estate company. What do you think I’m doing?”
Lu Xinyi turned around to face him. She then looked at him from head to toe that made Shen Yi uncomfortable in his spot. He had a share of admirers that gave him the ‘up and down gaze’ and flirty smiles. He was already used on giggling sound women do whenever he walked on the lobby of their office.
But this… somehow it felt different for him.
She sat down at the leather couch on his living room. His suite was complete with high-end amenities. By her estimation, this could be around a hundred square meter in size. There was even an in-cabin bar setup across her. She wouldn’t be surprised if he got a full-size bed in his bedroom with nifty lighting effects and a large round window to give him a better view outside.
Lu Xinyi tilted her head on one side.
“A stiff businessman…” she paused “Please tell me, you aren’t a fugitive on the run?”
On her words, Shen Yi couldn’t stop himself and burst into laughter. Miss Pancakes was really something.
“Why are those the only options?” He asked while he tried to suppress his laughter.
Lu Xinyi shrugged her shoulders and pouted.
“Because Mr. Hollandaise, I don’t know all the positions in a company,” she confessed.
“What did you just call me?”
She blinked. He stared at her, waiting for an explanation.
“Because you wouldn’t tell me your name even though I told you mine. I assume you don’t want me to know who you are, so I’ll just call you Mr. Hollandaise from now on.”
Shen Yi nodded. Her explanation makes sense. At least now he knew she wouldn’t force him to say his name and identity.
“That’s fine, Miss Pancakes.”
That name again! Why is he still calling her with that nickname when she already gave him her name? Lu Xinyi gritted her teeth. This man surely knows how to push the wrong buttons with her.
“Why are you calling me Miss Pancakes anyway?”
Instead of answering her question, Shen Yi stared directly on her face before moving his gaze down on her flat chest. Following the direction, he was looking at…

Silence engulfed the two of them.
Lu Xinyi felt a vein on her head will pop out because of her rage against this shameless and infuriating man. Before Shen Yi could react, he barely saw a shoe flying and coming right towards his handsome face.
