Lu Xinyi was bewildered with what she was hearing from her cousin. She couldn’t believe that Sun Qiyan would push her own sister to this horrible situation.
Her younger cousin was starting to get hysterical. It was as if every sound that escaped her mouth was set to the frequency that would shatter her heart to pieces again and again and again.
“He took me by force and kept me hidden from everyone. He told me that he owns me now, and neither the Sun family can take me away from him…”
When the wracking sobs passed, she cried in such a desolate way that no one could bear to listen for long. Madam Su—who was taking care of her since she arrived—covered her mouth and cried in silence. She’d never thought Sun Qiushan experienced such a horrible thing from her own sister.
“I was his prisoner, and he insisted that I cannot leave him alone. He…” Sun Qiushan cried as if her brain was being shredded from the inside. Emotional pain flowed out of her every pore.

When the last words were uttered from Sun Qiushan’s lips, Lu Xinyi felt like someone had poured an entire bucket of ice on her that she was frozen on the spot; her fingers trembled as she held her cousin’s teary face.

Her mind almost short-circuited as the shock came into her. She couldn’t imagine what kind of hell Sun Qiushan had gone through. What’s more, it was Sun Qiyan who initiated it.
Lu Xinyi was livid. Never in her dreams did she think that Qiushan would suffer such horrible fate from her own sister.
“Qiyan!” Lu Xinyi roared in agony.
Her heart ached for Sun Qiushan. This innocent, lovely, and kind cousin of hers didn’t deserve to suffer such hell. She knew from the start that Sun Qiyan was never a good person, but she’d never thought she would harm Qiushan.
Just because she wanted to seal a business deal, she sold off her own sister. What Sun Qiyan did was so despicable that Lu Xinyi didn’t have the heart to forgive what she had done to Qiushan.
As much as she tried to hold it in, the pain came out like an uproar from her throat in the form of a scream. The beads of water started falling down one after another, without a sign of stopping. She wanted to hit the wall and tried to scream, but her voice was melted by the sound of the place. She was then held down by Sun Qiushan who was begging her to stop.
The muffled sobs of her cousin wracked against her chest. Suddenly, Sun Qiushan felt the world turned into a blur, and so did all the sounds. Everything was gone. The last painful emotion slammed against her before she lost the feeling of feeling. Everything darkened into nothingness as she passed into the oblivion of unconsciousness. She laid on Lu Xinyi’s lap unconsciously.
Fu Shuren stepped forward and took the unconscious woman from his new mistress. He motioned Madam Su to follow and lead him to the room where Sun Qiushan temporarily stayed. The doctor whom Shen Yi sent earlier was quick to follow the two. ρꪖꪕᦔꪖꪕꪫꪣꫀꪶ
Lu Xinyi was left alone, slumped on the floor with anger and hatred surrounding her. The fierceness in her eyes was something Shen Yi hadn’t seen on her before. It was like this woman was not the same mischievous and naughty wife he was married to.
At this moment, his wife became the demon’s incarnate. Sun Qiyan had finally touched Lu Xinyi’s bottom line. Even so, she was still his wife. Would she become like this if the Sun family hadn’t repeatedly tested and pushed her around?

His hand patted her back, trying to soothe her. Lu Xinyi was crying, and he was tempted to find the cause of her tears and end it miserably.
It took sometime before Lu Xinyi calmed down and asked the Fu brothers about Sun Qiushan.
“Who’s the bastard who took my cousin and confined her?” she hissed. She needed to know who he was… who was brave enough to who hurt Sun Qiushan!
“We found Miss Sun at one of the residences owned by Xi Yunchuan,” Fu Rui was the one to answer her inquiry. His brother hadn’t come back after assisting Sun Qiushan.
“Xi Yunchuan…” Lu Xinyi narrowed her eyes and imprinted the name on her memory. She would never forget the monster who tainted her cousin’s innocence.
“Xi Yunchuan…” Shen Yi repeated. “Qiao He, I have heard this name before. Have we made a deal with the Xi family before?”
“Yes, Boss Yi. We made a transaction with the Xi family before. Xi Yinchuan is Xi Yigang’s eldest son. He’s currently the Vice President of Redux Entertainment.” Qiao He explained.
“Isn’t that one of the main competitors of Griffin Entertainment?” Lu Xinyi tucked her head on Shen Yi’s chin, not caring if their subordinates see their intimate gestures. They should be immune to it by now.
Qiao He tried to ignore the gesture and coughed once on his hand as he attempted to hide his blush.
“Madam is right, but because Griffin Entertainment is established long before Redux Entertainment started, their influence and reputation are way better. Miss Zheng also came from Redux Entertainment before she jumped to Tang family’s Griffin Entertainment.”
“Do you want me to deal with Xi Yunchuan?” Shen Yi asked.
“No,” Lu Xinyi declined his offer on the spot. If she accepted his offer, she’d never be at peace, knowing that she hadn’t done anything for Sun Qiushan.
