“Yang Liqing, slap her mouth for me.”
Before Blue Haven’s servant realized what was happening, Yang Liqing appeared in front of her; and two resounding slaps broke the silence of the peaceful afternoon. She gladly did what her Young Madam’s command.

These past few days Yang Liqing was dying from boredom. It didn’t help that people supporting Blue Haven was talking bad about Lu Xinyi as if they know who they were talking about. It was deeply satisfying to vent out her frustrations on this servant from Blue Haven.
With just two slaps from Yang Liqing, the rude servant felt disoriented until she felt a stinging pain coming from each side of her face.
“You! You dared to hit me?!” she cried out to Lu Xinyi.
“Actually, it was me who hit you.” Yang Liqing snorted. Why would her Young Madam waste her energy on someone as insignificant as her?
“What about it? Can you do something with it, or will you come running back to your mistress with your tail between your legs?” Lu Xinyi leaned at the door frame of Grace Palace Restaurant and nonchalantly checked her nails which further infuriated the woman.
Yang Liqing laughed, gathering the attention of the passersby. Seeing that a servant from Blue Haven was making a scandal in front of Grace Palace, people started murmuring to one another. Because of her loud voice, it was enough to attract attention. With her pig face, Luo Yin’s face burned red from anger and embarrassment.
She’d never experience such humiliation since she stayed at Mo Lihui’s side.
“You will pay for this!” she screamed at the top of her lungs before stomping her feet, walking away to save herself from further humiliation.
“I want to see you try. Tell your mistress that her kindness is very much appreciated,” Lu Xinyi said sarcastically, “Unfortunately, the man she’s interested in doesn’t share the same sentiments.”
Mo Lihui sent her to meet Shen Yi and find out his name. Such an easy order that she failed to fulfill. What’s more, Lu Xinyi had humiliated her outside Grace Palace! ρꪖꪕᦔꪖꪕꪫꪣꫀꪶ

Mo Lihui, who was watching from her office, saw the commotion. She was really tempted to follow her assistant and give Lu Xinyi a piece of her mind. Alas! She could not just go there to fuel the problem, with Shen Yi witnessing the scene.
Should she follow or not? This was also a rare opportunity for her to discredit Lu Xinyi in front of Shen Yi!
In her blind desperation, she stormed out the room and met her assistant halfway on the road. Because Blue Haven was just across the street, Lu Xinyi saw her and thought that she still needed to deal with more drama for today.
“Luo Yin, what happened to you?” Mo Lihui pulled on Luo Yin’s arm and inspected her for injuries. Luo Yin’s cheeks were swollen, and her clothes disarray.
“Miss Mo, please help me seek justice! Your lowly servant just did what you’ve told me, but Miss Lu refused to accept your gift and told me to scram.”
Mo Lihui was aware of her assistant’s true nature. She knew that Luo Yin was capable of twisting the truth to make it favorable for her. With dramatic acting and swollen cheeks, one might fall for her lies and fake tears.
It didn’t look like she was lying because of the reddening marks on her face, but surely something had happened between her and Lu Xinyi. Her reputation within the area though wasn’t really good because of rumors she’d spread, which eventually turned out to be false.
People around them had conflicting thoughts if they should believe Luo Yin’s claims. Although Mo Lihui’s reputation wasn’t as bad as Luo Yin, they could not just accept this gossip monger’s claim that she was harassed by Grace Palace’s new head chef.
Mo Lihui led Luo Yin back to Lu Xinyi. Her heart beat loudly against her chest as she saw Shen Yi this close. Oh, goodness. How could Lu Xinyi stand so close to this man when it was already hard for her to keep her composure?
“Miss Lu, is Luo Yin telling the truth? It was I who told her to deliver the gift. If it wasn’t to your liking, then you should have said so. Luo Yin will inform me about it. What did my Luo Yin do so wrong that you raised a hand on her face?”
Ah, what spectacular acting from both master and servant. Did they just imply that Lu Xinyi hurt Luo Yin without a reason?
Lu Xinyi scoffed inwardly while Yang Liqing rolled her eyes. So it was like this… the servant’s arrogant manners were tolerated and instilled by her own mistress. Maybe she should also slap Mo Lihui to get even with them. She gave Lu Xinyi a glance, but her Young Madam nodded and gave her a reassuring look.
Lu Xinyi wanted to see the drama unfold, and she also wanted her husband to see how women could be pathetic at times because of him.
“Sister, I assure you that isn’t what happened in here…” Lu Xinyi decided to play along with them. Her voice so timid, so innocent that—to one’s ears—it sounded that she was the one who was treated wrongly.
Did they just think that they could bully her and taint Grace Palace’s reputation that easily? It was time for the little devil to let them taste their own medicine.
