Within the Heavenly Court of the Kingdom of the Nine States.
This was a place of unmatched prestige and sacrilege. There was no other place in the entire Tai Chu Continent that could match this colossus.
But right at this instant, the Southern Heavenly Gate, which acted as a passageway between two worlds, suddenly exploded. It had been ruptured by a living being in the most brutal way.
This event created a stir among the higher-ups of the Heavenly Court.
There had been instances when they had summoned immortal ambassadors from the mortal world to return via the Southern Heavenly Gate, but there had there been a living being who managed to crash through without permission.
Emperor Ziwei and the Celestial Thearch almost appeared at the exact same location at the Southern Heavenly Gate. They looked at the shattered Southern Heavenly Gate and stared into the inky-black passageway inside with grim expressions on their faces.
The two divine generals responsible for guarding the Southern Heavenly Gate had already been scared sh*tless. They had never encountered a situation like this. Heck, they didn’t even think it was possible for someone to break through the Southern Heavenly Gate through brute force!
Emperor Ziwei and the Celestial Thearch’s expressions shifted again at the sight of the red-robed man emerging from the chaos.
“Cyril!” They stared at the man who had emerged with celestial might radiating from his eyes.
“Long time no see.” Cyril wore a calm and collected smile despite the fact that he was in the very heart of the Heavenly Court. “There’s no need to be so tense. I’m just borrowing your spatial passageway. I’ll be taking my leave now.”
He stuck his hand into thin air as he spoke. The space around his hand surged as he pulled out a million spirit stones before tossing them to the Celestial Thearch. “This is the repair fee for the Southern Heavenly Gate. Keep the change.”
The Celestial Thearch’s lips twitched slightly at the sight of this new Cyril, who appeared to be much more reasonable and civilized, but he didn’t say anything. As for sentences like “Do you think the Heavenly Court is a place where you can just come and go as you please?”, he simply couldn’t utter those words.
To Cyril, the Heavenly Court really was a place where he could just come and go as he pleased…
He was the leader of the Heaven Crushing Sect, and he could do whatever the hell he wanted!
As for the Heaven Mending Sect, the Celestial Thearch was only second-in-command with Nuwa as their leader.
Emperor Ziwei opened his mouth to say that a million spirit stones wasn’t anywhere near enough for repair fees! However, after thinking about what Cyril had done in the past, he decided to swallow his words.
It was best to get this guy out of here as soon as possible.
“I’ll be going now if there’s nothing left that needs to be taken care of.” Cyril stepped away in the air with a smile.
“Farewell.” The Celestial Thearch nodded.
They were both preparing for the inevitable battle that was to come, but in completely different ways and subscribing to completely different ideologies. In a sense, they were opponents of one another, so the Celestial Thearch couldn’t be bothered to keep up appearances. He basically told Cyril to piss off.
Thus, Cyril left the Heavenly Court as if it were his own backyard.
Meanwhile, back on Earth…
An Lin encountered Black Spirit Snake again.
After making sure that White Spirit Snake was alright, she turned toward An Lin and Tina with a mysterious smile on her face.
This was the smile of a flawless Celestial Maiden, but it was quite eerie for some reason. At least, that was what An Lin thought as chills ran down his spine.
“Congratulations, SENIOR Black Spirit Snake, on taking Earth to its new glorious heights!” An Lin offered up words of congratulations.
He decided to take the initiative and change the subject while placing emphasis on the word “Senior” in order to remind Black Spirit Snake of her position and to dissuade her from bullying her juniors!
Black Spirit Snake gripped onto the divine tool in her hand, and her smile lingered on her face. “This was all a part of my job. However, I must thank you for your efforts in slaying the snake monsters.”
An Lin was reassured upon hearing this, and he stood up tall as he puffed out his chest. “Everyone had a duty to protect this Earth! I am no exception to this, and I would gladly stand up if it was for the sake of Earth!”
Black Spirit Snake nodded. “That’s quite a rousing speech, for which I’m going to give you a small reward.”
“What reward?” An eager expression appeared on An Lin’s face.
He was then greeted by the sight of the huge golden sword in Black Spirit Snake’s hand flying toward him!
This was the divine tool, Realm Creation Evil Vanquishing Sword!
Just its most simple attack was unimaginably intimidating.
An Lin’s entire body trembled from the suffocating pressure exerted upon him by the divine tool, and he instinctively gripped onto his Evil-Slaying Sword to retaliate.
When the two swords collided, heaven and earth stood still for a moment!
Boom!
An ear-splitting boom erupted as a terrifying energy instantly exploded forth.
Da Bai, Xuanyuan Cheng, White Spirit Snake, and the others were all forced to hurtle back in retreat.
“Stop, Big Sister Black!” White Spirit Snake yelled.
An Lin was knocked back a few steps by the force of the collision, but his eyes were extremely bright.
He had blocked one of Black Spirit Snake’s attacks!
“Oh? You’ve improved somewhat.” A faint smile appeared on Black Spirit Snake’s lips as she charged toward An Lin as a golden sword intent swept toward him from her divine tool.
An Lin’s heart jolted in shock, and he unleashed his full power to keep Black Spirit Snake’s attacks at bay.
However, Black Spirit Snake’s attacks became more and more terrifyingly powerful, and her swordsmanship also became more exquisite and lethal, affording An Lin no hope of victory!
Boom boom boom…
An Lin was swatted flying again and again by the divine tool while Black Spirit Snake closed in on her prey.
“Six Strikes of the War God, Wind Sword!”
An Lin roared as his sword transformed into a white line that went straight for Black Spirit Snake’s head.
Black Spirit Snake twisted her slender waist to evade the attack, and the golden hilt of her sword crashed toward An Lin’s chest with a boundless might. That’s right, she was attacking with the hilt of her sword!
“Pfff…” An Lin’s internal organs trembled from that strike, and he threw up a mouthful of blood.
At this moment, Black Spirit Snake had already charged toward An Lin as she swung her sword with a joyful expression.
An Lin could only defend himself with all his might.
“This is your so-called reward?” he roared in rage.
“Isn’t it an extremely valuable opportunity to be able to fight a Dao Integration Stage mighty figure?” Black Spirit Snake grew more and more excited as she attacked An Lin.
“Don’t push me any further!” An Lin gritted his teeth.
As Black Spirit Snake swept her sword down, a golden sword projection fell upon him like heavenly judgment, pinning him to the ground. A terrifying power crashed into An Lin’s body, causing him to throw up another mouthful of blood.
“So what if I push you further than this? What? Do you have the power to resist?” Black Spirit Snake hoisted her Realm Creation Evil Vanquishing Sword as she made her way toward An Lin with a joyful expression. “Resist with all your might! The more you resist, the more excited I’ll become! No one will come to save you even if you scream yourself hoarse!”
An Lin: “…”
Those words stung!
Was this Black Spirit Snake a freak with some sort of weird fetish?
However, she was right about one thing, and that was that no one would come to save him even if he screamed himself hoarse.
This entire heaven and earth had already been isolated by Black Spirit Snake using a spell technique. Not even Tina or White Spirit Snake could break through this spell technique, and they could only stand outside with no way to help him.
“I deliver on my promises. I told you that I would pummel you every time I see you, so there will be no exceptions.” Black Spirit Snake charged toward An Lin again.
“Then don’t blame me for what I’m about to do!”
An Lin’s expression darkened as he glared at Black Spirit Snake.
