The bluestone palace at the center of the golden rainbow gave off a high and mighty feel.
No matter how you looked at it, it was definitely an extremely important place.
As such, the owner of the palace should be quite powerful.
Within the Heavenly Turtle Tribe, one’s cultivation base and star divination abilities correlated with one another.
After all, the more advanced a turtle’s cultivation base, the longer they could live.
The longer they lived, the more time they had to stargaze. After stargazing for tens of thousands of years, anyone would be able to figure something out. Unless they were retarded, of course.
An Lin should be able to give the star coordinate map to the owner of the palace and have it deciphered.
“Giant An Lin, there are restrictive spell formations around the palace,” Tina suddenly said.
A white light flashed past An Lin’s eyes, and he was greeted by the sight of an extremely complex and massive dual-spell formation.
The inner spell formation was only several thousand feet in radius and enshrouded the entire palace. However, the outer spell formation used the inner spell formation as a foundation and stretched outward to encompass the entire island, which was as huge as a continent!
An Lin drew a sharp intake of breath. “I don’t think the owner of this palace is someone we can mess with.”
He immediately turned around to look for another target.
However, at this moment, an opening suddenly appeared in the restrictive spell formations. An opening prepared for him!
“This…” An Lin faltered slightly as he caught sight of that opening.
Was this an invitation?
An Lin looked at Tina and the Jade Bone Immortal Bug, who were both looking back at him.
“It looks like someone is inviting us for some tea. Should we go in?” An Lin asked.
The Jade Bone Immortal Bug spoke in a soft voice, “If it really wanted to do something to us, it could just attack us without having to do something unnecessary like this.”
“Furthermore, this is our first time here, so we have no vendetta against it. As such, I don’t think we need to be afraid of anything,” Tina chimed in.
The two girls were not backing down.
If An Lin backed down now, he might as well not call himself a man.
“Alright, then let’s go meet it.”
A firm expression appeared on his face as he led the way.
He passed through the opening in the spell formations and made his way through the gate of the bluestone palace.
Within the palace, there were all sorts of strange objects like divination and fortune-telling tools, copper coins, all manners of strange oracle bones… At the very center of it all was a large turtle sprawled lazily onto the ground.
After seeing An Lin, a friendly smile appeared on its face as it spoke in a gentle and soft voice.
“Welcome, friends from afar.”
“Greetings, Senior, I apologize for unintentionally trespassing on your territory.” An Lin extended a salute.
The turtle had quite a ferocious appearance, but its gentle voice completely belied its appearance.
“There’s no need to apologize. Our meeting was pre-ordained by fate,” the turtle said in a slow voice.
An Lin’s face convulsed slightly. Why did it feel like he was being led into a trap somehow?
“Then, why did Senior let me in?” An Lin looked up at the turtle curiously.
“I let you in because you wanted to come in,” the turtle replied.
A smile appeared on its thick lips as it spoke, and a sly expression surfaced on its dark features.
An Lin: “…”
The turtle looked at An Lin. “Alright, I won’t play around with you any longer. Our meeting was meant to be, so how about I personally tell you your fortune for you?”
Fortune telling?
An Lin’s body tensed up slightly. It was common knowledge that the Heavenly Turtle Tribe enjoyed star divination and telling the fortunes of others.
However, An Lin was a little unsettled by the fact that this mighty figure was volunteering to tell his fortune to him.
The turtle seemed to have noticed An Lin’s concern. A smile appeared on its face as it said, “How about this? I’ll tell you about your past, and if there are any inaccuracies, I can agree to do something for you.”
An Lin’s eyes lit up, and he nodded upon hearing this. “Alright, then please go ahead, Senior.”
He was just worried about how he could recruit this mighty figure’s help to decipher his star coordinate map, so this could be considered as an opportunity.
The turtle nodded. Suddenly, it extended its neck, and its massive head almost made contact with An Lin’s face as a vast, ethereal aura swept toward him.
An Lin didn’t recoil. Instead, he met the turtle’s gaze with an intrigued expression.
The turtle’s eyes were blue and countless tiny symbols suddenly appeared on them before quickly revolving, merging, separating, creating, as if this turtle were a supercomputer making countless calculations in the blink of an eye.
An Lin fell into a slight daze upon looking into those mystical blue eyes.
He actually also had a bad*ss divination technique known as the Divine Simulation Technique, which was probably higher in level than what this turtle was using.
However, that technique was too dangerous, so he very rarely used it nowadays.
The turtle suddenly closed its eyes, as if it was thinking about something, before its head slowly withdrew into its shell.
Not only that, but even its four limbs withdrew into its shell.
The entire palace fell silent, and there was now only a round turtle shell at the center of the palace.
An Lin was a little bemused by this.
Why did it suddenly withdraw?
“Senior?” An Lin called.
No one answered.
An Lin stood waiting on the spot with a confused expression.
Ten minutes later.
The palace remained extremely peaceful, and there was still no reaction from the turtle shell.
An Lin: “…”
Tina and the Jade Bone Immortal Bug: “…”
“Could it be… that Senior Turtle fell asleep?” Tina speculated in a quiet voice.
An Lin’s eyes were wide open. “It was just telling my fortune a second ago, and now it’s asleep! That would be absurd! Furthermore, we’re still standing in its house! How can it just ignore us?”
“Snore snore…”
“Snore snore…”
The sound of the turtle’s snoring gradually began to reverberate throughout the palace.
An Lin: “…”
Tina’s tiny hand sprang to her face in shock at her own correct guess. “My God! Senior Turtle really is asleep!”
An Lin’s lips twitched. What the hell was this turtle doing falling asleep on everyone?
“Let’s go!” An Lin felt as if he had been swindled and immediately walked toward the palace gate.
“Huh? Aren’t we going to wake Senior Turtle up?” Tina asked in a quiet voice.
An Lin chuckled coldly. “Why would we wake it up? Let it sleep if it likes sleeping so much. We’ll just have to find someone who doesn’t fool around with others like what this turtle does!”
This was the first time he had seen someone fall asleep mid-conversation.
In all honesty, he was a little angry and didn’t want to stay here any longer.
“Maybe Senior Turtle has its own set of hidden circumstances?” the Jade Bone Immortal Bug suggested.
“Hidden circumstances?” An Lin blinked before turning to the huge turtle shell, from which loud snores continued to erupt.
He tried to use his divine sense to detect what was going on within the turtle shell, only to find that the shell seemed to have some sort of divine sense resistant property that prevented his divine sense from being able to detect anything.
An Lin: “… Let’s go!”
He turned toward the gate again with Tina and the Jade Bone Immortal Bug trailing along behind him.
Boom!
Right at this moment, the space within the palace suddenly began to tremor.
An aura that gave one a sense of asphyxiation was slowly awakening!
An Lin turned around, and his pupils contracted drastically.
The huge turtle’s four limbs had already extended out of its shell, and its mouth was opened toward them, revealing sets of sharp teeth, as terrifying energy began to converge within!
