The white hall attracted everyone’s attention.
A red carpet stretched all the way from the white hall into one of the palaces.
There were over a hundred gorgeous female foxes in long blue dresses standing along both sides of the red carpet.
There were five white foxes and four black foxes silently waiting at the center of the hall.
These were the closest relatives of the bride and groom.
The most powerful foxes among the Fox Tribe, the Green Fox Tribe, had sent a handsome Green Fox mighty figure to the wedding to be the marriage officiant of the wedding, and he was standing in the air above the white hall while holding a precious green bead in his hand.
“Welcome, friends and guests, and good morning! My name is Qing Yinghu, and I will be hosting this much-anticipated wedding today!”
Immediately afterward, he began to introduce some of the important characters at the wedding.
An Lin unleashed his divine sense to make a rough evaluation of everyone here, and he discovered that there were over thirty Return to Void Stage mighty figures present. Among them, there were five Return to Void Final Stage mighty figures, which consisted of a white fox, a black fox, a green fox, and two mighty figures from the Hall of Creation.
It had to be said that this was quite a formidable lineup.
Thankfully, Xiao Chou had given up on his plan to abduct the bride. It would have been an exceedingly difficult plan to execute with all these mighty figures here.
“That’s strange… I can’t shake the feeling that someone is watching me,” An Lin muttered to himself as he looked around, but he did not discover anything out of the ordinary.
Within the Divine Stone Tribe group, Hong Dou immediately averted his gaze, and he turned to look at the white hall as his heart thumped in his chest.
Why was An Lin here? This simply didn’t make sense!
Hong Dou was extremely puzzled. Even though he had resisted the urge to go and greet An Lin, he was still unable to repress his curiosity about just what An Lin was doing here.
Before he knew it, Hong Dou’s mind had been led astray by a rampant train of thought.
What did this marriage between two foxes have to do with An Lin? Did he have some sort of secret agenda? Could it be that he was about to do something earth-shattering again?
If he was going to, what would be his motive? The main characters of this wedding were undoubtedly the bride and groom, Chen Nan and Bai Yao. If An Lin really was here to stir up some trouble, then it could only revolve around those two foxes.
Could it be… that there were some secrets between An Lin and Princess Bai Yao?
Hong Dou drew a sharp intake of breath as a conspiracy theory began to materialize in his mind.
He felt like he had discovered An Lin’s motive!
An Lin was in love with Princess Bai Yao and was here to abduct the bride!
Holy Mother of God! An Lin sure had guts!
Hong Dou was extremely excited as he turned a scorching gaze full of anticipation toward An Lin.
He and An Lin could be considered as friends, so if An Lin was going to do something radical like abducting the bride, he wasn’t averse to helping him out…
Within the white hall…
Bai Yao’s mother, Bai Muyu, turned with a gentle smile toward the black fox beside her. “In-law Chen Hao, I heard that Little Nan made a new breakthrough in his Dark Corrosive Divine Flame a few days ago?”
The tall and imposing man with a five o’clock shadow on his face harrumphed coldly, as if he was a little displeased. “So what?”
Bai Muyu maintained her smile. “Well, it’s certainly something worthy of celebration.”
Chen Hao’s face convulsed slightly, but he didn’t say anything. He had to maintain his poise and composure as the Black Fox Emperor.
“Without further ado, let’s give a round of applause to the number one young prodigy in the Fox Tribe, the man countless young vixens yearn for, the man who is the epitome of both supreme talent and peerlessly handsome looks, Young Master Chen Nan!” Qing Yinghu announced in a loud voice.
A burst of raucous applause and cheers instantly erupted. There were even some young vixens with flushed features who were screaming at the top of their lungs.
A man wearing black daoist robes made his way out from the palace.
He really was an extremely handsome man. His back was as straight as an arrow, and his eyes were as bright as stars, entrancing not just all of the female onlookers present, but even some of the male wedding-goers in attendance.
Of course, An Lin was an exception to this.
He had been friends with Big Brother Cheng for so long that he had already become desensitized.
In a country where everyone yearned for beauty, Chen Nan’s emergence was met with a wave of ear-splitting cheers.
A faint smile appeared on Chen Nan’s face as he made his way toward the center of the hall with elegance and grace before turning to the palace behind him.
Many of the living beings present had been entranced by Chen Nan’s dazzling, handsome looks.
An Lin harrumphed coldly. “This guy has countless young vixens yearning for him? What a load of bullsh*t! Even I would be more handsome than him if I were wearing my best robe today.”
Da Bai chimed in in agreement. “Heh, this black fox really isn’t worthy of Bai Yao. Bai Yao must have been blind to have chosen him! Don’t be sad, Big Brother Chou, you could easily have all of these black foxes and white foxes kneeling at your feet if you wanted! Woof!”
Both of them stole glances at Xiao Chou as they spoke.
They were only saying this in case Xiao Chou was feeling insecure upon seeing Chen Nan.
To their surprise, Xiao Chou didn’t even appear to have seen Chen Nan. Instead, his bulb-like eyes were focused firmly on the palace behind the wedding hall.
Qing Yinghu’s impassioned voice sounded again. “Young Master Chen Nan has already arrived, so let’s welcome one of the most talented young prodigies of the Fox Tribe, the woman countless young male foxes yearn for, the woman who is the epitome of both supreme talent and gorgeous looks, Princess Bai Yao!”
Another wave of cheers erupted alongside the heart-wrenching cries of some male foxes, as if the woman of their dreams had left them.
An Lin’s expression darkened.
What were these recycled lines Qing Yinghu was using? Couldn’t he at least change it up a little bit? How did this guy even become the marriage officiant for such an important wedding?!
Amid the raucous cheers of over a hundred thousand wedding-goers…
A gorgeous white figure emerged from the palace.
She wore a holy regal crown on her head, and a pristine white wedding dress accentuated the contours of her body to perfection. The short-sleeved dress was shoulderless, revealing large patches of her delicate fair skin. On her feet were a pair of white crystal heels.
Bai Yao made her way down the red carpet like a princess walking toward her Prince Charming.
Most of the living beings present were instantly entranced by Bai Yao’s beauty as gasps of praise erupted throughout the palace.
Chen Nan wore a faint smile as he waited patiently for his princess.
“She’s so beautiful, it’s like she just walked straight out of a dream.”
“Ahhh, Young Master Chen Nan is so handsome!”
“Princess Bai Yao is also really beautiful. Even though she has taken my Prince Charming, I have to admit that she’s the only one worthy of him.”
“They’re a match made in heaven! Anyone that objects to this wedding will suffer divine retribution!”
All of the living beings present were expressing their sincerest blessings to this soon to be wed couple.
Almost everyone present thought that these two foxes were perfect for one another.
Xiao Chou stared blankly as Bai Yao made her way down the red carpet toward Chen Nan. Memories of the past began to well up in his mind again, and all of the blessings uttered by those around him were extremely unpleasant for him to listen to, but he repressed the urge to do anything about them.
They were right. This was indeed a match made in heaven.
Bai Yao was like a white swan, while Xiao Chou was an ugly duckling at most.
Would the white swan fall in love with the ugly duckling? No. She would only fall in love with the black swan.
Xiao Chou had heard a fairytale once.
In that fairytale, there was an ugly duckling who grew up to become a swan!
What a beautiful story.
His childhood was a lot like the ugly duckling’s.
Once upon a time, there was an ugly duckling.
He grew up to become even uglier.
That’s right, Xiao Chou didn’t grow up to become a swan. He had grown from an adorably ugly duckling to something even uglier.
This was Xiao Chou’s story. All of those fairytales were lies.
The white swan was about to get married now, and the big ugly duck could only look on with a broken heart.
Bai Yao made her way to the center of the wedding hall. As the widely accepted number one beauty among the younger generation of the Fox Tribe, she was simply breathtaking.
She scanned her eyes through the audience.
All of the living beings felt their hearts skip a beat as her eyes settled for the tiniest fraction of a second upon them.
A second later, Bai Yao’s eyes settled on a certain spot, where there was an extremely familiar figure.
Even after so long, she could still find him almost instantaneously amid such a massive crowd.
An absurdly beautiful smile appeared on her face.
Her eyes glowed with excitement. “I see you!”
The holy and majestic white swan had discovered the big ugly duck who was wearing a mask on his face.
