In the Battle of Fengyue City, the strength of Sword Head was really shocking, especially to the Alliance general. He had never thought that a sword attack’s range would be so extensive and so terrifying.
Infomation from the Nine Star General spread everywhere.
He wanted the Alliance headquarters to send more Sword Path experts over. He needed to fight to the death with Dao Qiu. Other Nine Star Generals had to face the other experts of the Rich Land, so with the current situation, they needed someone to come over to restrict the Sword Head.
Alliance’s retreat helped to greatly increase the morale of Fengyue City.
Sword Head was relatively famous and there weren’t many people who didn’t know him. He was the head of a top sect, who had extremely scary sword skills, and also cultivated the Killing Sword Path.
This wasn’t a secret.
This was something that everyone knew.
If Sword Head used it openly and stopped suppressing it, then the strength that could come out of it would be even more terrifying.
Sword Head felt really bitter.
The Battle of Fuzhou was one in which he sinned really deeply. He suppressed the Killing Sword Path for so long, so it wasn’t too much to kill some people right?
He then met the Su Family Old Ancestor.
What happened made him a little helpless but thinking about it, there were indeed things that he had to do. This was life and no one could change it.
Qiu Dao was an expert of the Taoist Faction and had come to Fengyue City to serve the Heavens.
He was once a sect leader and led all his disciples to fight against the Alliance. Calculating roughly, that was 60 years ago.
He was the only one left.
His disciples died, disciples of Taoist Faction died, elders died, his core disciples died.
The million-year Taoist Faction foundations were ruined in his hands.
Sometimes when it was late at night, Qiu Dao would think about all he had done, whether or not he would be scolded or beaten by the ancestors when he dies and the time would come to meet them.
He didn’t pay attention and the entire Taoist Faction was wiped out.
For this, Qiu Dao’s thoughts were to live on and die later, so he would be scolded later too.
….
“This place is a little weird.”
Lin Fan looked at everything in front of him and was a little stunned. He didn’t dare to move his legs. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to, but the scenes ahead felt a little off.
An endless green river seemed really calm. Ahead was a green mist that made it hard for one to see the depth. The sky’s color was weird too and the green made one panic a little.
It was like a green light was stabbing into one’s heart.
It was like a big, green hat had appeared and was pressing on one’s head.
“It is better if I am a little more careful.”
Lin Fan landed from the sky. He didn’t dare to move ahead. He looked at the two sides and they too were borderless and wide.
When he landed on the ground, he noticed that there were fishermen fishing at the shore.
They even dared to fish in such a green ocean surface. Who knew what kind of fish they would catch?
Lin Fan walked towards him.
“Aiyo, aiyo!” The fisherman was working hard. He grabbed the net and tugged it towards shore.
Suddenly, Lin Fan opened his mouth, terrifying him. When he saw that it was a person, he heaved a sigh of relief.
“Kid, what is up?” The old fisherman asked.
Lin Fan pointed at the ocean curiously, “Old man, I would like to ask where is this place and why is the ocean like this? If I don’t walk through here, can I go around it?”
“Wait, kid you are asking too many things at once. Slow down. Let me think and reply one by one.” The old fisherman raised his hand and said, “This is Fuxin Ocean. As for why it is like this, we have to begin from a legend.”
“It was said that a long, long time ago, there was no ocean here, just endless mountains. There lived an unmarried couple; the guy was really handsome and the girl was average. One day, the man suddenly fell sick and couldn’t move at all. The girl took care of him for a while and heard rumors that there was a medicine that could cure all illnesses in the world.”
“She went out to search but when she went out, she was worried about her fiance and found someone to take care of him. She left for many years but when she returned, she really brought the medicine back.”
“But when she went home, she realized that there was no one there, so she searched everywhere. Finally, one day, she found him and saw that he had married a princess, enjoying life’s riches and he was actually able to move again.”
“The girl returned here and cried with grievances. She cursed the guy and maybe the heavens sensed it and a huge flood descended, totally flooding this place. I heard that if any bad guys pass this place, they won’t be able to get out, which was why this legend was passed on.”
The fisherman described the legend of this place to Lin Fan and then smiled, “Of course, it is only a legend and I don’t know if it is true or not.”
Lin Fan listened and felt like he was listening to a storyteller.
How could this even be true?
This was why it was green… But did the people here really treat green as a sort of sign of love?
“Old man, can I go around it?” Lin Fan asked.
It wasn’t that he was afraid because he was a bad guy, but because this green color covered the area and he was afraid he would come into contact with dirty things.
One’s head would be covered in green… Who wouldn’t be afraid of that?
The old fisherman said, “You can but it is a little far. It would take you 5-6 years if you ride a horse.”
5-6 years?
To normal people, it would take 5-6.
But with his current speed, it would take only 1-2 months.
The fisherman saw that he was in deep thought and laughed, “Kid, don’t be afraid. It is just a legend. I have fished here for so long and often see ships pass. There is nothing to be afraid of.”
Lin Fan smiled and thought about it for a moment.
Although it was a legend, this world wasn’t a normal world, so he couldn’t afford to be careless.
Also, he didn’t need to be afraid.
From the beginning till now, he hadn’t harmed a lady and even chased girls away to not affect their happiness.
This was why he didn’t need to be afraid.
“Thank you.” Lin Fan cupped his fists, rising up into the air and flying towards Fuxin Ocean.
As expected, he really noticed that the legends in the world were so mysterious and magical.
How would there be such an overpowering presence, who just after scolding a few sentences, could cause a flood to occur and inundate such a large area? Just thinking about it, he felt that it was totally impossible.
“So, he knows how to fly.” The old fisherman raised his head and watched as Lin Fan left. A devilish smile appeared on his face. He jumped up and landed in the green ocean before disappearing.
Lin Fan didn’t think too much. The story that the old man told him made his head hurt and he genuinely felt a little sad.
She spent so much effort finding the medicine and after returning, instead of getting a big hug, she got a bright, green hat.
Haiz!
Actually, this story taught him something.
One should find someone with similar looks unless one has something special.
From what the fisherman had said, the girl looked average, so the outcome didn’t need any further elaboration.
Lin Fan reached out, wanting to grab the green mist. He didn’t feel anything; it felt similar to a normal mist and there was no difference.
It was really quiet.
So quiet that he could hear his own heartbeat.
The surface was calm; one couldn’t even hear the sound of waves or wind.
“Weird.”
Lin Fan frowned and felt like this place was indeed really weird, totally unlike what the fisherman had said. He felt like something was off.
At that moment, he lowered his head and looked at the surface, not finding anything wrong. He looked up into the sky and apart from the green mist, he couldn’t even see the sun.
Xiu!
He didn’t stop and continued to rush. Although he couldn’t quite put his finger on it, something just felt really off. It was best if he just left as quickly as possible, not worrying about it.
He was really quick and after much time passed, even if he couldn’t see the end, at least the surrounding environment would change right?
“Eh!”
Suddenly, the scenes ahead changed.
A giant ship was floating on the surface.
“Someone is there.” He dove down to take a look.
The ship was huge and it looked like a merchant ship that was traveling full speed ahead. When he landed, he realized that there was no one around.
“Oi, is there anyone here? If there is someone, please reply to me.” Lin Fan shouted.
Total silence.
Apart from the sound of the ship moving ahead, there was nothing else.
There were many boxes placed on the deck which were obviously goods. He punched them open and many beautiful pieces of porcelain fell out, shattering as they fell to the ground.
It was a cargo ship.
But for there to be no one on such a huge ship, that was a little weird right?
Lin Fan shouted and walked at the same time but no one replied to him.
“Where did all these people go?” Lin Fan looked around warily. He walked to a wooden door, pushed it open, and saw a dark long corridor.
Lin Fan stood at the entrance and looked for a moment. He was afraid of such narrow and dark corridors.
Especially this wooden door.
He imagined.
When I step into this, suddenly the wooden door will close. I will turn around and not realize anything is wrong. Then, when I turn back to look at the corridor, a terrifying face will be in front of me.
Stop thinking.
This is too terrifying.
He quietly closed the wooden door.
If there was no one, then he didn’t want to investigate too much.
In normal circumstances, nothing would happen if one didn’t do anything, but the deeper one investigated, the more likely one would end up in a horrifying situation.
Lin Fan took several steps back. He spread out his fingers and waved his arm. With a shua, a sickle-shaped Sword Intent swept forwards and sliced the cabin.
The entire roof floated up and he punched forwards, smashing it to bits.
Then, he floated upwards.
He lowered his head and looked in. There were many bends and rounds, many rooms, many small paths. If one walked in, it would be easy to get lost.
But there was no problem now.
He looked out at everything and didn’t let go of any part or corner of the place.
“No one… Is this an empty merchant ship? Impossible, if there is no one, then how could this appear here?”
“There are no signs of fighting.”
“The cargo is still here, so where did the people go?”
Suddenly, Lin Fan felt a chill behind him. He stepped forwards before turning around.
A human-shaped mist was floating there but it slowly faded.
There was a ghost.
