Rumble!
The thunder rumbled on, while a dragon and a tiger roared. That slash was most certainly the strongest attack Xiang Shaoyun could muster at the moment. The terrifying destructiveness of the attack could match the attack of a late-stage or even a peak-stage Transformation Realm cultivator.
The dreadful saber attack blasted the wall in front of him, causing rocks to fly everywhere. The loud rumble left a buzzing noise in the ears of Xiang Shaoyun and Dong Zi. Xiang Shaoyun did not stop with one attack. He raised his saber and slammed it down again and again until he finally opened a tunnel.
That’s right. Xiang Shaoyun was forcefully digging his own tunnel in the cave. The thick wall collapsed, revealing yet another cave on the other side of the wall. Meanwhile, Dong Zi, who was in Xiang Shaoyun’s arms, was already completely stupefied. He had never expected that Xiang Shaoyun was actually able to unleash such fearsome attacks. The might of the attacks caused even him to feel fearful.
Even more surprising was the fact that there was indeed a cave hidden behind the wall. Was Xiang Shaoyun already aware of the hidden cave or was he simply lucky? In fact, Xiang Shaoyun himself was also blanking out.
Just earlier, a vague scene had appeared in his mind for no apparent reason. That was the scene he was now looking at, the cave behind the wall. That was why he had attacked the wall instead of leaving.
What he saw now proved that he wasn’t imagining the scene he had seen in his head. After blanking out for a short bit, Xiang Shaoyun stepped into the second cave with Dong Zi still in his arms.
This second cave looked more like a secret room than a cave. The cave was also completely free of the blackcorpse poison, providing them a badly needed respite. But the air would not remain clean for long, as the poisonous gas in the air was already slowly spreading into the second cave as well.
In the second cave, Xiang Shaoyun heaved a breath of relief. He dissolved a low-grade spirit stone in his astral cosmos sea to replenish some of his exhausted energy.
“H-hey! Let me go!” Dong Zi finally spoke.
That reminded Xiang Shaoyun that he still had a man in his arms. In fact, he could sense a soft sensation in his palm, making him wonder, What’s that? Why is it so soft?
“Y-you scoundrel! Let go of me!” Dong Zi was extremely weakened at the moment, and all he could do was shout at Xiang Shaoyun.
It was at this moment that Xiang Shaoyun seemed to have realized something that made him immediately drop Dong Zi.
“Arrrghhh!”
Dong Zi wailed in pain from being dropped on the ground.
“F*ck! You’re really a crossdresser!” Xiang Shaoyun couldn’t help but start cussing.
He had once read from an ancient scripture that there existed a group of humans whose genders were ambiguous, and they were called crossdressers. This Dong Zi looked like a woman, had the figure of a woman, yet he also had an Adam’s apple. What could he be if he was not one of these so-called crossdressers?
“Screw you! You are the crossdresser! Your entire family are crossdressers!” Dong Zi fumed as well.
The more he shouted, the more feminine his voice became.
“Wait a minute. Why is your voice changing?” Xiang Shaoyun interrupted his shouting.
Dong Zi had just gotten back on his feet with great difficulty. He stuffed two pills into his mouth before looking at Xiang Shaoyun. “You are a total scoundrel!”
After scolding Xiang Shaoyun, he even stomped Xiang Shaoyun’s feet.
At this point, even if Xiang Shaoyun was a total idiot, he would have realized that there was a possibility that this Dong Zi was really a woman. Why? Because he had found that the Adam’s apple on Dong Zi’s neck had vanished.
A bitter smile covered Xiang Shaoyun’s face as he said, “Ok, I admit defeat. You are too skilled at lying. Consider us even?”
“What do you mean by even! This is not over!” Dong Zi glared at Xiang Shaoyun.
The moment she thought of how Xiang Shaoyun’s palm was on her private part earlier, she was furious. But at the same time, an incomprehensible emotion seemed to rise from her heart, making her blush bashfully.
If it was any other person, she would not stop until the person was killed. But she knew that Xiang Shaoyun had not done it intentionally. All he did was for the sake of saving her. Because of that, she did not have any intention of killing Xiang Shaoyun, but she could not understand the odd emotion she was feeling in her heart at the moment.
Meanwhile, Xiang Shaoyun mused to himself, It is really hard to be a good person. But then again…they do feel good to the touch.
If Dong Zi heard his thoughts, she would probably kill him. Xiang Shaoyun ignored Dong Zi. He knew that she would need some time to calm down from her anger. He was running out of time, so he had to search his surroundings as quickly as possible.
He found that the cave was rather empty. It only had a bed, a skeleton, a piece of human skin, and a pile of random objects. Xiang Shaoyun jogged forward and searched through the pile. He found that a lot of the objects in the pile had already degraded into powder. Fortunately, some of the more durable items remained.
“Only king-grade items?” Xiang Shaoyun muttered in disappointment.
There were some top-quality blackiron ores, demonic cores, king-grade weapons, spirit crystals, and so on here. For others, these items were rare treasures. In fact, even King Realm cultivators would be overjoyed to find this pile of treasure. But these were nothing for Xiang Shaoyun.
At this time, Dong Zi arrived beside Xiang Shaoyun. She was similarly disinterested when she saw the items. Clearly, she had a rather remarkable background.
“Do you want them? If not, I’ll take them all,” Xiang Shaoyun asked. Even though these items were nothing for him, he was completely broke at the moment. Thus, he was naturally not against taking all of them.
Dong Zi scanned the items before waving her hand. “Take them if you want. I don’t need them.”
Xiang Shaoyun did not hold back and put everything away. This time, he did not keep them in his astral cosmos sea, as he did not have much storage space left. Instead, he used a piece of cloth and wrapped the items in a bundle before carrying the bundle on his back.
Dong Zi walked toward the bed and picked up something from the floor with joy on her face.
Xiang Shaoyun’s pupils shrank when he saw what was in Dong Zi’s hand. He cried out in alarm, “Is this a…life essence seed?”
The so-called life essence seed was a crystallized vitality that could be formed from the life essence of plants or any other living beings. Xiang Shaoyun could clearly sense the undulations of vitality rippling from the seed. That was how he knew what it was.
Dong Zi quickly put the seed away as she said, “Since you have already taken so many things, you can’t fight over this with me.”
“I’m not fighting over it with you. I suggest you swallow it immediately. You still have some leftover poison in your body. This life essence seed will work nicely to help heal you from the poison,” Xiang Shaoyun said.
He then walked toward the bed and glanced at the skeleton, his gaze stopping at the human skin. He reached out toward the skin, but it suddenly moved and tried to wrap itself around both of them.
