The girl returned to her seat. She was nearly in tears. No one else dared to come over again.
Luosang and Yan Su sighed with relief and returned to enjoying the Malatang. Initially, Mo Liuxi only tasted a little bit of it. Once he found it tasted pretty good, he started eating faster than the two girls.
While he was enjoying the food, a boy shyly walked over to him and said, “Hi, actually, I’m gay, too.”
Luosang and Yan Su were both stunned.
The boy sheepishly continued, “I can either be on top or at the bottom. It’s up to you.”
Yan Su even choked on the food in her mouth. Luosang wasn’t doing much better as she stared at the boy in shock. The two girls had no idea so many weirdos existed among their schoolmates.
Mo Liuxi raised his eyes. He gave the boy a bland glance and replied, “You’re not pretty enough.”
The boy touched his own face and said, “I can have plastic surgery.”
“I like the naturally pretty ones,” Mo Liuxi coldly replied.
The boy walked away disappointed.
Luosang sighed and patted her brother on the shoulder. She asked, “Do such things happen to you often? You’re so calm.”
“Yeah,” Mo Liuxi said.
Luosang suddenly got a little worried. “May I, your sister, take the liberty to ask you one question? Do you like boys or girls?” She hadn’t thought about it before. She now realized that her brother had never seemed to be interested in girls.
“I’m not sure yet.” After answering the question, Mo Liuxi elegantly ate a fish ball.
Luosang was speechless. She thought, He’s not sure yet? Shouldn’t that be very clear? I guess I need to keep a close eye on him from now on.
Personally, she wasn’t really able to accept things like homosexuality.
…
Yan Su ate some more Malatang and began to feel full. She glanced at Luosang and her brother. Luosang was having her second bowl of sweet potato noodles. Mo Liuxi had finished his sweet potato noodles and ordered some needle mushroom.
As she quietly waited for them and took a drink she thought, They really are brother and sister.
After about 10 minutes, Luosang was finally full. With satisfaction, she said, “It was really good. If only I could eat like this every day. Compared with this, I was living the life of a prisoner back in the villa.”
Yan Su rolled her eyes and thought, She’s really been spoiled by Nian Junting.
Luosang led an easy life. Everything was provided for her in the villa. Many people were jealous of her for that, yet she called it a life of a prisoner.
Mo Liuxi elegantly wiped the corners of his mouth. Coldly and gracefully he said, “I never thought that this kind of Malatang could taste so good.”
Once he finished talking, the restaurant owner of the shop took a picture of him with her phone.
“Delete that,” Mo Liuxi said with a frown.
The restaurant owner fawningly said, “Young man, I want to use your photo as an advertisement. How about this, you are welcome to eat here for free from now on. I won’t charge you this time either.”
Mo Liuxi stayed silent for a few seconds before finally agreeing. “Alright.”
Luosang sighed. Her brother was easily swayed by food.
All three of them had overeaten, so they moved slowly when coming out of the restaurant.
Walking past the entrance of the school, they saw An Lan come out the door. She was arm in arm with a young girl who was in a camouflage suit. The girl looked a little like An Lan but not as dashing or sexy. The girl had snow-white skin, an oval face, and arched eyebrows. She looked gentle, young, and innocent.
“Luosang, Liuxi, what a small world. Long time no see,” An Lan greeted them with a smile. They hadn’t seen each other since they returned from An City.
“Is this your sister?” Luosang asked. She remembered An Lan mentioning that her sister would come to Ximei as a first-year student.
“Yeah, this is my sister,” An Lan replied. “Her name is An Ning. Tomorrow will be the official opening of the semester. I came here to bring her some clothes. Now, we’re going to the supermarket over there to shop for some food.”
After responding, she began to introduce her sister to the others. “This is Xu Luosang, she’s Mr. Nian’s girlfriend. Mr. Nian is the owner of Shengting. This is her brother, Mo Liuxi, and this is…”
“She’s my friend.” Luosang didn’t give more details.
“Good to meet you all.” An Ning fixed her eyes on Mo Liuxi. Her cheeks reddened, and her eyes glowed with surprise and shyness. She asked, “Which department are you in?”
Mo Liuxi blandly glanced at her. For the sake of An Lan, he answered the question. “Directing.”
“What a coincidence,” An Ning said. “I’m studying acting. Can I ask you to direct my show in the future?”
She seemed infatuated with Mo Liuxi. Luosang could understand the girl’s feelings. She was once a little girl, too. It was like her falling in love with Yi Jingxi at first sight. However, she wasn’t as brave as An Ning.
“I’m sorry. You guys can’t afford to hire me,” Mo Liuxi coldly replied.
An Ning stayed silent. Her eyes suddenly became lusterless. It was as if a bowl of cold water had quenched her burning hope.
Mo Liuxi probably felt that he wasn’t being mean enough so he added, “Besides, entering the Acting Department doesn’t mean that you can become an actress. Some people never get a chance to play a part in even one film.”
An Ning nearly cried.
Yan Su quietly sighed. She suddenly felt that Mo Liuxi had actually been pretty polite to her. Luosang, on the other hand, pinched his hand. He was as sharp-tongued as Mo Jin.
“I’m sorry. My brother doesn’t know how to be polite yet,” she said.
“It’s OK. I’m already used to his sharp tongue,” An Lan said with a wave of her hand. “Also, he’s right. In show business, the competition is severe. I’m not optimistic about it either. However, An Ning insisted on coming to Ximei, and I couldn’t change her mind.
Thankfully, she had learned what kind of person Mo Liuxi was long ago. He had no evil meanings. He was just straightforward like Mr. Nian.
“Don’t say that,” Luosang said with a smile. “An Ning is pretty. We have a lot of pretty girls in our school, but I think she can still impress people. Well, we should get going.”
“See you.” An Lan waved and left with An Ning, who turned to look at Mo Liuxi from time to time.
Luosang glared at Mo Liuxi. “Can’t you be nice? She’s just a little girl. Plus, An Lan has helped us.”
Mo Liuxi’s black eyes showed a trace of confusion. “Was I wrong? So many film companies want me to direct their films and TV shows, which are invested with billions and filled with first-line stars. I’ve turned them all down. Would I direct a show for a little girl? That’s so naive.”
“Why did you never mention it?” Luosang awkwardly asked.
“It’s nothing to brag about,” Mo Liuxi said as he lazily walked forward.
Yan Su whispered in Luosang’s ear, “Are you sure that he’s your brother and not Nian Junting’s?”
Luosang was speechless. She shared the same feeling as Yan Su.
