Mo Liuxi’s blood was boiling now.
Director Mo. She actually called him Director Mo.
“Yan Su, I can’t believe you. You are so much older than me. How could you address me with seniority.” Mo Liuxi smirked, then added, “Elder Sister Yan…”
“…”
Yan Su was livid now as well.
Listen to him. He was calling her Big Sister Yan…
He was the same person who had called her little sister when they were still in a relationship; the absolutely cheesiest.
All of a sudden, the atmosphere was awkward.
While the two of them were in a spat, the thief was on his knees begging Mo Liuxi to let him off.
“You want me to let you off? Aren’t you the least bit ashamed of robbing a woman?” Mo Liuxi was in a foul mood; he kicked the man again.
Soon the police arrived and arrested the man.
The sea breeze was strong that night and Mo Liuxi sneezed and coughed. He was coughing so hard that his face was turning red.
Yan Su felt guilty seeing him suffer. She would have been in a pickle if she really lost her bag tonight. She would have had no phone and no wallet in a foreign country…
She took off her denim jacket and offered it to him. “Put this on, you already caught a cold.”
“I’m not cold.” Mo Liuxi rejected the jacket; he was feeling frustrated as well. He didn’t have to get so worked up. It was just a petty thief, and now he was all wet.
Yan Su frowned. “Mo Liuxi, you…”
“Why aren’t you calling me Director Mo now?” Mo Liuxi interrupted her.
“…”
Yan Su decided to give him orders. “Take off your shirt.”
“I don’t want to.” Mo Liuxi turned his back to her.
Yan Su looked at his soaked back, then walked over to unbutton his shirt.
When her warm hands touched his chest, Mo Liuxi looked down and jumped. He saw that her hands were bleeding and there were abrasions from the fall earlier.
He frowned and grabbed her hands. Thinking about how she had fell on the ground, he regretted not beating up the man more.
“Let go,” Yan Su said when he suddenly grabbed her heads.
Yan Su was a little flustered. She forcefully withdrew her hands before she continued to unbutton his shirt, but Mo Liuxi stopped her.
“Yan Su, I don’t need your jacket,” Mo Liuxi said coldly.
Yan Su laughed. “Please call me Big Sister Yan.”
“…”
Mo Liuxi was the one who was speechless this time.
“Mo Liuxi, I don’t want to owe you anything. You’re like this because of me,” Yan Su said with a complicated feeling.
Mo Liuxi felt as if someone had dumped a bucket of ice water on him. He said sarcastically, “Don’t read too much into it. I didn’t even know that it was you. I just saw that it was a woman and I would do that for anyone. That’s just how righteous I am.”
Yan Su laughed. “Well thank you for being righteous.”
She insisted on unbuttoning his shirt.
“Don’t touch me.” Mo Liuxi flicked her hands away in annoyance.
Yan Su’s hands froze and her lips trembled. “Right. You always thought that I was dirty anyway. Should I ask Miss Tang to come over instead? Everyone can tell that she likes you.”
Mo Liuxi’s face was pale. “Fine. Go get her right away then.”
Yan Su stared at him for a while before turning on her heel.
Mo Liuxi grabbed her wrist and pulled her to him. He lost all of his reason in that second as he grabbed her face and planted a kiss on her lips.
Yan Su was dizzy from the kiss; it was the most awful kiss ever.
It wasn’t passionate, tender or loving at all. All she tasted was sand and saltwater.
