This was very different from the Junwu Empire.
Nest Fortress was divided into different living quarters in the south and north. The students lived in the south, and the generals lived in the north.
But in Sun Castle, the residents were divided into groups.
There were 50 groups in total.
They took turns guarding the front line. When they weren’t on duty, they stayed in Sun Castle.
There were quite a few shops here, many of which weren’t opened by cultivators. Commoners walked around the city.
In other words, when all of Nest Fortress was under martial law and preparing for war, everyone in Sun Castle was living comfortably, as if they were living in an ordinary city.
Feng Wu saw countless shops along the street.
There were many girls waving their handkerchiefs upstairs in the Spring Breeze Pavilion. The smell of food came out of a gourmet restaurant. There was an armory that sold armor and weapons, a pavilion that specialized in selling crossbows, and even a bookstore with rows of mahogany bookshelves.
Feng Wu had just arrived and wanted to quickly look around Sun Castle, so she turned to the others and said, “I’ll be safe here in Sun Castle. I guess it’s time to say goodbye.”
Feng Wu smiled and spoke in a sweet voice, and the teenagers liked her so much that they couldn’t bear to part with her.
Funo said, “We haven’t reached your group’s living quarters yet.”
Feng Wu smiled and pointed at the bookstore. “I’m going to buy some books and wait for my teammates. They might be back soon. I don’t know how long I’ll have to wait… So, I won’t keep you any longer.”
The teenagers all wanted to speak, but Funo beat them to it. “I’m free anyway. Captain, go and submit the mission. I’ll wait here with Miss Kita.”
He then looked at Feng Wu. “It’s not safe for a girl to wait by the roadside.”
The captain was very reluctant, but he had no choice after hearing what Funo said. In the end, he only nodded at Funo and Feng Wu and left with the team.
After they were some distance away, Hanae said mockingly, “Is Funo an idiot? He’s giving up the essence crystals for a pretty girl!”
Next to her, Sanji rubbed his nose. “But these essence crystals… I feel that I’ve let little Kita down.”
Hanae was furious. “Little Kita? Are you very familiar with her? Since when did she become little Kita?”
Sanji didn’t dare say a word.
Meanwhile, Feng Wu and Funo waited on the street.
Because Dongsangers preferred sweet and adorable girls, Feng Wu had chosen to dress up in that style.
A thin fringe covered her forehead, and it didn’t look thick or clumsy.
On her head were two cute buns. Her hair pins had bows on them, and a few strands of curly hair framed her face.
The dress wasn’t the bright red color she usually wore, but was in a delicate pink shade.
Her skin was as smooth as jade, so tender that one couldn’t bring themselves to touch it.
She looked soft and adorable. When she smiled, she had two dimples. She was lovely beyond description.
Funo stood beside her and stole glances at her from time to time. He bustled around and tried to be as courteous as he could.
Seeing that people passing by kept looking at her, Funo was a little jealous. He said to Feng Wu, “The sun is too bright here. Why don’t we take a break in the bookstore next door and read while we wait for your teammates?”
Feng Wu glanced at the bookstore.
She was interested in the bookstore, but she was even more interested in the armory.
Feng Wu wondered if there would be fighter jets for sale.
