3125 Open the Sack
She never thought the badges she gave away would return to her at a critical moment like this.
Weren’t badges hard to get?
Senior Sister Lan’s face darkened, and she snorted. “So what if they saved all their badges for you? There’s only enough to let you graduate. As for becoming a major, dream on!”
Only enough to graduate?
Feng Wu looked up at Senior Sister Lan, who was sneering at her.
She turned to Jiang and saw that he was smirking as well.
She turned her head and saw Shan Jingfei this time. She even spotted Zuo Qingluan in the crowd.
Feng Wu and Zuo Qingluan’s eyes met.
Zuo Qingluan didn’t look away.
Her eyes were malicious, and there was a smirk on her face. She was waiting to see Feng Wu make a fool of herself.
Feng Wu turned around to look at her friends.
The concern in their eyes comforted Feng Wu.
She smiled at Chu Qu. “Time to get up.”
Chu Qu said, “What?”
He had gotten tired and sat on the sack again.
Hearing what Feng Wu said, he immediately got up.
Feng Wu gave him a long look before she said indifferently, “Open the sack.”
Chu Qu said obediently, “Sure.”
He opened the sack without another word or unnecessary actions.
When the sack was opened, no one took a look because they weren’t interested.
However, Chu Qu jumped to his feet as if his butt was on fire.
“Holy crap!”
The lobby was quiet, and Chu Qu’s voice could tear the roof off.
It startled everybody.
Sun Yu had to grab Chu Qu to stop him from falling.
“What’s wrong?” What was going on?
Chu Qu pointed at the sack with a shaking finger. “Look! Look in the sack!”
What made him so excited?
The sack was only slightly open, and one had to be very close to see what was inside.
Senior Sister Lan frowned. “He’s only pretending to be excited. He’s making it look like the sack is full of the badges of our enemies!”
Chu Qu looked at her in amazement.
Senior Sister Lan grew uneasy when she saw that look, and wondered what it was about.
Meanwhile, the others learned the answer.
Sun Yu opened the sack wider.
Now that it was fully open, everybody could see what was inside.
Military badges!
Military badges of the Dongsang Kingdom!
It wasn’t just a few of them.
It was a full sack of badges!
Everybody who saw this froze on the spot, as if they were under a spell.
Nobody made a sound.
Everyone thought they were seeing things.
It was either that or the world had gone insane.
“Maybe it’s only badges on the surface.” Senior Sister Lan tried to convince herself.
“Even if that’s the case, it’s still a lot of badges. She’ll have enough to become a lieutenant colonel,” said someone next to Senior Sister Lan.
Jiang was waiting to see Feng Wu make a fool of herself, but things had turned out quite differently. He frowned.
Chu Qu was the most excited of them all.
He could barely form a coherent sentence.
“I… I… I sat on the sack! More than once!”
