“That’s right. Didn’t Feng Wu put the team in danger? I thought she was useless. Why is she the best teammate?”
Wasn’t that self-contradictory?
The others looked at one another and were confused.
That didn’t make any sense.
“Mr. Luo, is there something wrong with the system?” Pei Si asked.
Everyone nodded and looked at him expectantly.
Something had to be wrong. It couldn’t be Feng Wu!
Mr. Luo wished that was the case. However…
“There’s nothing wrong with the system,” Mr. Luo said calmly.
If that was the case, that meant that Feng Wu had received that title because she deserved the reward.
Zhen Ya suddenly asked, “Is it because Feng Wu picked up the most crystal cores?”
Could that be the case? Everyone’s eyes lit up.
Pei Si raised her hand. “Sir, does the system rank us based on how many crystal cores are handed in?”
No one knew what the standards were.
Mr. Luo said, “There’s no question about the accuracy of the rankings.”
The students weren’t satisfied with the answer, but they found ways to convince themselves.
“That must be the case. Feng Wu picked up the most crystal cores and became the best team member. She’s shameless!”
“I agree with you! She was the one who lured in all the White Lion Elephants, but after the tutor saved them, the first thing she did was to gather the crystal cores. I can’t believe it.”
“I feel so sorry for Jingyu. She was the leader of the team, but Feng Wu became the best team member. That’s outright betrayal!”
Sun Jingyu couldn’t stand them anymore. She glared at them and shouted, “You don’t know what you’re talking about! Feng Wu deserves to have all the crystal cores! No one is more qualified than she is!”
All the students were surprised. They never expected their class president to be on Feng Wu’s side.
They gave Feng Wu strange looks.
Zhen Ya mumbled, “Jingyu is such a nice person. She was robbed of the honor, but she’s trying to defend Feng Wu. She’s the best class president.”
The others agreed with her and admired Sun Jingyu for what she said. They only despised Feng Wu even more.
Sun Jingyu wanted to cry. She wished these people would stop talking.
“Shut up, all of you! That’s the end of the discussion! If anyone says anything, they’ll be banned from our next event!” Sun Jingyu had to shut them up.
As the class president, she had the right to ban her classmates from attending the events.
But –
She couldn’t stop them from discussing it. What she did only made the rumor spread further.
The students scattered after the points were distributed, and they gathered in twos and threes as everyone talked about today’s events in low voices.
They even gave Feng Wu a nickname: black crow.
The name indicated how much misfortune Feng Wu represented.
Chaoge was furious.
But nothing she did could stop these people from talking.
In Room 2001.
Chaoge grabbed a cleaver. “I’m so mad! I can’t stand them!”
