Dumbfounded, Feng Wu stared blankly at him.
Feng Xun and Xuan Yi exchanged looks and saw the smile in each other’s eyes.
It was such a subtle question. If they didn’t know that the crown prince was in love with Feng Wu, they would never have guessed what he meant.
Boss Jun would be so mad if Feng Wu’s answer was no, for it would mean that Feng Wu didn’t care about him and might actually feel happy that the marriage was off the table.
But if the answer was yes, the crown prince would probably be over the moon.
So, could Feng Wu understand the meaning of the question or not?
As it turned out, she couldn’t!
She had no idea that Jun Linyuan was fond of her. So far, she still believed that Jun Linyuan found her disagreeable to the eye and that all he ever did was pick on her.
Biting her fingers, Feng Wu racked her brain, trying to figure out what answer she should give.
It was such a tough question. As she bit her nails, she threw a dirty look at Feng Xun again.
“Answer the question, then. Have you ever felt resentful or not?” Feng Xun raised an eyebrow and grinned at Feng Wu.
Time was of the essence here, so what could Feng Wu do?
“Well, it was His Royal Highness’s decision, so what choice did I have? Plus, it’s been a long time since it happened, so of course I don’t resent His Royal Highness.” Feng Wu patted her chest and was very proud of being such a magnanimous person.
Feng Xun’s stomach lurched when he heard Feng Wu’s answer.
Oh, no —
Before he knew it, he was looking at Jun Linyuan.
As expected, the look in Boss Jun’s eyes had turned so cold that it was sharp enough to cut someone open!
The temperature around him dropped, and the coldness spread out. The steaming pot on the red clay stove was instantly frozen.
Rising to his feet, the crown prince flipped his sleeves and headed for the door.
Feng Wu was dumbfounded.
What on earth was going on?
Feng Xun gave her a nudge. “Little Feng Wu, are you an idiot? Go get him back!”
Feng Wu was speechless.
She couldn’t understand what Jun Linyuan was angry about!
Just then the fairy’s voice rang out in her head. “You have two minutes left.”
What?!
Feng Wu looked like she had been struck by lightning as she stood there dazed. The next second, she jumped up and ran toward Jun Linyuan as fast as she could.
The crown prince was about to kick the door open, but Feng Wu blocked his way with her arms spread open. He almost kicked her in the stomach.
Jun Linyuan’s eyes were bloodshot red as he stared at Feng Wu with a ferocious look in his eyes. “Out of my way!”
Like hell Feng Wu would do that. She would rather kill herself than let Jun Linyuan leave.
Her broken star piece!
And her beautiful master!
At that thought, Feng Wu decided to stay where she was. “No, I won’t!”
Rage was written all over the crown prince’s beautiful face, and he stared at Feng Wu with a sharp, cold gaze.
“Are you going to move or not?!”
“No!”
The next second, the crown prince’s vise-like hands were wrapped around Feng Wu’s neck. His knuckles had turned white, and blue veins popped on the back of his hands.
He could easily snap Feng Wu’s thin neck if he tightened his grip.
Feng Xun and Xuan Yi were astonished when they saw this.
“Boss Jun —”
Feng Xun instinctively tried to save Feng Wu, but before he could say another word, Xuan Yi tugged at him.
