Yet again, Yuna finished telling the story of her past life. By now, she has gotten rather proficient at doing so, so he took her only about two hours. Naturally, she didn’t bother explaining every detail and only gave a rough outline.
“I see, that explains a lot of things about what happened so far, nee-san. How interesting.”
That was all the reaction Naruto showed before casually drinking a sip of tea and seemingly dismissing the topic, causing Hinata and Anko to stare at him in bewilderment.
“A-Are you fine with that, Naruto? D-Don’t you want to ask any questions, or maybe you have some doubts about the authenticity of Yuna’s story?”
Naruto pondered on Hinata’s question for a short moment before shaking his head in denial.
“Well, I was the one who wanted to know about nee-san’s secret, so I naturally prepared myself to hear something outrageous. Well, having memories from her previous life as a goddess is honestly a little more ridiculous than I expected, but it’s not too far off. Nee-san is nee-san, after all.”
Yet again, Naruto started pondering about the story he had just heard from Yuna before a glimmer of interest appeared in his eyes.
“Now that I think about it, you removed quite a few details, right, nee-san? I really want to hear about some of the outrageous things you undoubtedly have done in your previous life.”
Yuna chuckled in amusement at Naruto*s request before casually nodding her head in agreement.
“No problem. I have a lot of interesting stories I can tell you about.”
While Hinata and Anko were still bewildered about how easily Naruto digested the information about Yuna’s past life, Ino and Haku managed to get out of their stupor.
“D-Did you two know about this beforehand?”
Anko shrugged her shoulders in indifference when she heard Haku’s question.
“Yuna told us about it a while ago.”
“I see…Isn’t it…err… kinda weird to… you know…”
Haku clearly wanted to ask something else, but while she was speaking, she started stuttering more and more until her words were barely comprehensible. Ano chuckled in amusement at Haku’s plight and decided to help her out a little.
“Isn’t it weird to have a relationship with someone much older? That is what you wanted to ask, right, Haku.”
Instead of answering Anko, Haku only meekly nodded her head while glancing at Yuna, who appeared to be unbothered by her question.
“Honestly, it was somewhat weird at the start, but I personally got used to it relatively fast. After all, Yuna rarely acts her actual age.”
Haku nodded in acknowledgment, and moments later, Ino got curious about what she had just heard and asked a question of her own.
“What does it even mean to act her age? I can’t even imagine how someone who had lived that long would act.”
Hinata and Anko’s facial expressions stiffened when they heard Ino’s question. They were just about to tell her that that was not a good question to ask when a dignified aura flooded the room, which almost caused Ino to suffocate. Ino’s whole body stiffened as she slowly moved her gaze to the origin of the aura. A short moment later, that felt like hours to Ino; she met Yuna’s gaze.
It was the usual pair of purple eyes, but this time they gave Ino the feeling as if they were older than time itself. Just by meeting Yuna’s gaze for a split second, she could feel herself sinking into the abyss of Yuna’s eyes.
She could feel her consciousness slowly fading away, when Naruto covered her eyes with a wry smile on his face.
“Please go easy on my girlfriend, nee-san.”
The atmosphere in the room went back to normal instantly, making Ino feel like what she had just experienced was a simple illusion. Despite that, she felt like experiencing how ancient Yuna’s eyes changed something about her mindset.
“Hehe, no worries, Naruto. As someone specializing in souls, this should have been a good experience for Ino.”
Naruto was just about to complain that Yuna’s methods were too extreme when he abruptly stood up and frantically looked around, causing everyone else in the room to look at him in confusion.
“What’s wrong, Na…”
“Sorry, nee-san. I don’t know what’s going on, but my instincts are telling me that I need to leave right now.”
Before Yuna could get another sentence out, Naruto ran towards an opened window and dove out of it, leaving a group of dumfounded women behind.
“What was that all about?”
Before anyone of the remaining people could try to come up with an explanation, the answer to Yuna’s question arrived.
*BOOM*
“WHERE IS THAT DAMN BEAST!? I WILL SKIN HIM ALIVE FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE TO MY DAUGHTER!!!”
A middle-aged man with long blonde hair kicked open the door to the living room and immediately started yelling in pure fury. Usually, the man would have light green eyes, but they were crimson red and distorted in hatred right now.
“D-Dad!?”
When the man, Inoichi, Ino’s father, heard his daughter’s voice, his gaze landed on her, and moments later, a grief-filled primal roar escaped his mouth.
His eyes quickly scanned the room, and after his gaze landed on the window, Naruto jumped out of a few seconds ago; Inoichi did the same as if he knew that Naruto had fled through that window.
“I WILL DRINK YOUR BLOOD AND EAT YOUR FLESH FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO MY CUTE LITTLE INO!!!”
While most people in the room had pure bewilderment on their faces as soon as Inochi left the room, a crimson flush appeared on Ino’s face. After all, one didn’t need to be a genius to understand what Naruto “did” to her, which means that her father was currently running around Konoha, loudly yelling that Naruto had taken her virginity.
So, without a moment of hesitation, Ino stood and jumped out of the window as well, so she could silence her father before too many people could hear his angry screaming.
Meanwhile, Yuna had a thoughtful expression on her face as she remembered Iniochi’s appearance.
[Is it just me, or did it look like he had a Mangekyou Sharingan with a pattern that looked like Ino’s silhouette.]
‘So you saw it as well, huh… I’m sure that was just our imagination.’
[So you are saying that both of us saw the same impossible image at the same time, huh.]
‘…Yes?’
[Guess that is still the more believable option, huh?]
‘It is…’
