Moments later, Yuna appeared inside Tsunade’s office while carrying Fuu. At first, Tsunade wanted to complain to Yuna for suddenly appearing in her office again and ask her who she was carrying, but when she met Yuna’s gaze and saw her purple eyes that were cold and calculating and seemed to pierce right through Tsunade, she choked on her own words.
When Yuna saw Tsunade’s reaction, she took a few deep breaths, and moments later, emotions returned to her face, and as soon as Yuna’s facial expression returned to normal, she spat out some blood, causing Tsunade to stand up frantically.
“Yuna! What’s wrong? What happened?”
Yuna shrugged of Tsunade’s concern and laid Fuu of Tsunade’s desk.
“Don’t worry about it. It’s just backlash from using a lame jutsu name.”
Although Tsunade’s frown deepened when she heard Yuna’s nonsensical explanation since Yuna didn’t want to talk about her injury, there was nothing she could do, for now, so she put her focus on the unconsiousness person Yuna was carrying instead. Before Tsunade could ask any questions about Fuu, Yuna started explaining the situation.
“I need you to help me save this person. She is the Nanabi’s Jinchuuriki and almost got her Bijuu extracted from her by Akatsuki. You will stabilize her while I will inject some of the Kyuubi’s chakra into her to stabilize the Nanabi. If you want compensation, we can talk about that later.”
Tsunade didn’t say anything and simply activated her medical jutsu while giving Yuna a nod of acknowledgment.
While Tsunade was keeping Fuu alive, Yuna put her hands on Fuu’s stomach and started pushing some of Kurama’s chakra into it. Since the chakra of the Bijuu came from the same source, it was very compatible with each other. So supplementing an almost drained Chomei with Kurama’s chakra was no problem at all, and only five minutes later, Fuu’s condition was stabilized.
Yuna nodded her head in satisfaction when she saw that Fuu survived and looked at Tsunade with a severe expression on her face.
“I know you must have a lot of questions, and I will answer all of them, but I currently have no time for that. I finally got an opportunity to get some information about Akatsuki, and I am not willing to miss this opportunity to sate your curiosity.”
Seeing that Yuna actually had a severe expression for once, Tsunade simply nodded her head in acknowledgment, and moments later, Yuna vanished from where she stood.
Meanwhile, just after Yuna left, an oppressive silence descended on the now snow-covered cave. The first to break the silence was one of the people who were here with their projections. He had long blonde hair that was covering his left eye, and his name was Deidara.
“What the f* was that?”
Itachi’s projection scoffed when he heard Deidara’s words, and he started speaking.
“That, was Yuna Uzumaki, the person I warned everyone about and who you dismissed as “just a somewhat strong brat”.”
Deidara looked at Itachi in disbelief and started speaking again.
“Are you messing with me? That was Yuna Uzumaki? Isn’t she like 15? How can such a young person possibly use such an overpowered jutsu?”
“As I mentioned in my last report about her, she is an anomaly. I didn’t say that because I wanted to explain my failed attempt to catch the Kyuubi, but because those were my genuine thoughts. I will say it once again, Yuna Uzumaki is a monster that should never be underestimated. In my opinion, she is the greatest obstacle we have to overcome to complete our plan.”
While everyone looked at Itachi in disbelief due to his words, Pain scoffed in disdain and started speaking.
“It does not matter. We got enough of the Nanabi’s chakra, so the Jinchuuriki getting saved before we could completely extract the Nanabi is of no consequence. We have to collect the Kyuubi last anyway, so there is no point in confronting her yet, but I will be the one to face her when the time comes. No matter how strong she is, in front of the power of a god, all her abilities are insignificant.”
When the people in the room heard Pain’s words, they nodded their heads, but despite nodding his head as well, Itachi had some doubts about Pain’s claim. He was confident in the power of his Tsukuyomi as well, and he would rather not remember what happened after using it against Yuna.
A somewhat uncomfortable silence covered the room before Deidara remembered something else he wanted to complain about. He pointed his finger at Kakuzu, who was currently busy collecting Hidan’s scattered, frozen parts, and started talking.
“By the way, Kakuzu. Didn’t you claim that you put a seal on this cave so no one could enter? How did she manage to get in here so easily?”
Kakuzu, who was currently disinterestedly inspecting one of Hidan’s severed fingers, scoffed at Deidara’s words.
“I am not surprised that a young brat like you would ask such a stupid question; after all, unlike me, you have never seen the Uzumaki clan during their glory days. I might be confident in my sealing skills, but that is only in front of a non-Uzumaki. Considering my age and that I don’t specialize in seals, I guess I am around the level of an average Uzumaki in their twenties. If I were to compare my skill to that monster who just passed through my barrier, stopped our ritual, and left through my barrier, I might as well be at the level of someone who has just started learning seals.”
Although almost everyone in the room was shocked by Kakuzu’s words, most of them dismissed them moments later. That was the inborn arrogance many people who reached to top held. The mere thought of someone else being more powerful than them would rarely cross their minds, and even if it did, they would dismiss it quickly.
“Aren’t you just making excuses for getting one-upped by a little girl, Kakuzu?”
When Kakuzu heard Deidara’s words, he only scoffed in disdain and continued collecting Hidan’s parts. Since he was Hidan’s partner, he knew very well that there was no point in arguing with an idiot, so he decided to ignore Deidara. He did, however, make a small note in his head to kill Deidara the next time they met in person.
“Oh my~ You sure are good friends, huh?”
Kakuzu couldn’t help but shiver a little when he heard a young woman suddenly speaking with a voice filled with playfulness. His head snapped towards the source of the voice, and his eyes widened in surprise when he realized that Yuna actually came back here.
“Hehe, how about we have a little chat? This should be fun~”
Yuna’s face twisted into a crazy grin that sent shivers through Kakuzu’s body.
‘*Urgh* should I just run away? I am not getting paid enough to fight that monster. Considering that she doesn’t even appear to be slightly winded, she can probably shoot the previous jutsu many times. How troublesome.’
