The most luxurious inn in Spirit Beast City, Full Moon Pavilion!
The top floor of the inn had been entirely booked by a wealthy guest. He even booked all the courtesans from every brothel in Spirit Beast City and sent them to the Full Moon Pavilion.
Right now, the lavish top floor of the Full Moon Pavilion was now in an unbearable sight. A group of young masters was all in a drinking party and had abandoned all restrains while carrying out obscene acts with the courtesans beside them. Most of the courtesans had their clothing out of order; there were even one or two courtesans that had been stripped naked while being chased and teased by various young masters. The entire scene was extremely licentious.
In the host seat of the pavilion was a fatty. He didn’t have any courtesans beside him—merely a servant girl that was kneeling and pouring his wine. He smiled with narrow eyes and looked at the vulgar sight, offering a toast to various young masters from time to time. He would also occasionally have a whisper with the young masters that came to offer him a toast, ending with wretched laughter from both of them.
Qian Wanguan seldom returned to the college for these few months. He couldn’t get used to the days without Jiang Yi. He might as well stay in the Full Moon Pavilion for long-term, booking the entire top floor and all the courtesans in the city. He would invite the college’s hedonistic young masters for drinks and fun.
He naturally wasn’t living a meaningless life, and he didn’t enjoy such licentious events either—but these various young masters loved it. He knew that this group of people didn’t have much talent and were trashes that had no opportunities to succeed as Clan Heads. He knew even better that none of them was anything good, and all had a bellyful of evil schemes. It had always been the case that the good guys never last long while the bad guys would live on for thousands of years. This group of hedonistic sons was adept at scheming and would definitely enjoy a comfortable life in their various clans. If he was to build ties with such friends, it would definitely do more good than harm to the Qian Clan.
Dog sh*t!
Qian Wanguan noticed a young master dripping the melting candle on one of the courtesans, causing her to scream in pain while the other young masters were all praising the performance. His eyes had this concealed flash of disgust but pretended to lower his head and drink his wine. He muttered to himself, “Sigh, what a bunch of pricks. It is much more comfortable to stay with Boss. I wonder how Boss is doing by himself up on the mountain.”
“Shh-shh!”
At this moment, one of the Qian Clan’s servants came in from the side door and quietly approached Qian Wanguan. He whispered into Qian Wanguan’s ear, “Young Clan Head. We received a letter from the mountain. It stated that Young Master Yi had just tamed a Silver-Moon Demon Wolf as his spirit beast!”
“Clang!”
Qian Wanguan lost his focus while his fat hands trembled. His wine cup crashed onto the bronze table and let out a crisp sound, attracting the looks of countless young masters.
“Hahaha!”
Qian Wanguan stood up with an expression of ecstasy. He personally poured a cup of wine and raised his cup while laughing heartily, “Everyone, let’s have a toast. I shall book another three more days in this Full Moon Pavilion so that everyone can wantonly play their hearts out!”
It was a measly sum to book the Full Moon Pavilion and the courtesans for an additional day. When everyone heard of the generosity from Qian Wanguan, every one of them was instantly delighted and gave their toasts while applauding.
Qian Wanguan gave three toasts before lowering his voice to the Qian Clan’s servant. “Call Liu Lao. I want to go to the mountain immediately. Boss is too awesome. That is the fastest demonic beasts of all the tier-threes. I wonder how did he tame it.”
“This…”
The servant of the Qian Clan looked at the dimming sky and hesitated. “Young Clan Head, we better do it tomorrow. The sky is dark, and I’m afraid Liu Lao is resting now.”
“Oh!”
Qian Wanguan looked outside of the window and sat down with a dull feeling. He forgot that he offered two courtesans to Liu Lao earlier. He thought that Liu Lao must now be having a strenuous journey to test whether his jewel sword was still sharp or not. It would indeed be inappropriate to interrupt him right now.
He sat down feeling bored and began to drink again. His shrewdness, which was honed by the clan since a young age, quickly helped him to get on his feet. He then began to toast and greet everyone again.
One hour later, the Qian Clan’s servant entered again with a grave expression. He quickly whispered his report to Qian Wanguan, “Young Clan Head, we have received information that Young Lady Shui Qianrou has just entered the northern city gate!”
“Shui Qianrou?”
A chilling light flashed in the eyes of Qian Wanguan. He had this startled expression which immediately turned into fury as he reprimanded, “Are all of you good-for-nothings? Wasn’t she in the royal city some time ago? How could she be suddenly here at the Spirit Beast City? Don’t you guys have any information?”
The Qian Clan’s servant had a shameful face as he wrapped his fist. “This subordinate knows his offense.”
“Get lost!”
Qian Wanguan lowered his voice and instructed: “Immediately ask someone to track her whereabouts. Report as soon as you have any information.”
After the servant backed down, Qian Wanguan raised his cup and pursed his lips. His eyes were shining with concentration as he muttered, “What is that mad woman doing at the Spirit Beast City? How could she have arrived from the royal city without any news at all? Could someone have been helping her concealed her whereabouts? Could it be that… she is here to challenge Boss? Not good!”
Qian Wanguan suddenly stood up and excused himself. He quickly walked down the loft and arrived outside of a room on the second floor. “Liu Lao, something has happened. I need to get to the mountain tonight. I have to trouble you!”
There were the voices of two reluctant ladies from the room and the rustling sound of someone wearing their robes. In just a short moment, the room doors were opened; and Liu Lao exited the room with some dissatisfaction while asking, “Young Clan Head, what is happening?”
“I am sorry this time. I shall gift you ten courtesans when we return! Come, we shall talk along the way!”
Qian Wanguan spoke with a serious expression while his obese body walked down quickly. Before he was even able to step out of the Full Moon Pavilion, the Qian Clan’s servant came rushing over, whispering, “Young Clan Head. Shui Qianrou has exited the southern city gate and is heading straight for Mt. Black Clouds!”
“She is indeed here to look for Boss!”
Qian Wanguan’s serious expression had now intensified. He shouted at Liu Lao who was behind of him, “Liu Lao, let’s go!”
“Swish!”
Liu Lao carried Qian Wanguan and rushed forth towards the Mt. Black Clouds like a burst of a gale.
…
The Stellarsky Continent was huge, and it belonged to the Azure Dragon Empire in name; actually, it was fragmented by warlords. The six major vassal states were all governed by themselves and had formed their own nations for tens of thousands of years. It was also because of this structure that it gave rise to various forces that didn’t belong to either the Empire or the six major vassal states. Take the Mt. Spirit Beast College for example.
Mt. Spirit Beast College was ranked third and obviously had two other major colleges in front of them. Ranked at first was the Azure Dragon College while the second place went to the Centaurea College.
The successor principals of these three colleges were mostly from the top ten combatants of the continent. Take this generation for example: Zhuge Qingyun was ranked seventh, Azure Dragon College’s principal was ranked third, and the principal of Centaurea College was ranked fifth.
Apart from the three major colleges, the continent had one observatory and one monastery, which were both similar independent from the Empire and the various vassal states.
Water Moon Observatory and Great Zen Monastery!
The Great Zen Monastery had an old monk that was rumored to have lived for over 300 years. He had overwhelming strength and was ranked second in the continent. The Water Moon Observatory was situated in the Starfall Island that was located in the northeast of the continent. The Island Owner, Shui Youlan, had been publicly recognized as the continent’s no.1 combatant. It was because she once shattered kasaya of the undying old monk who was from the Great Zen Monastery.
Shui Qianrou was the only daughter of Shui Youlan!
This devil girl appeared in the Northern Liang Kingdom a year ago and had been challenging prodigies along the way. She fought over twenty fights and was still at a clean sheet. Out of the twenty Northern Liang Kingdom’s prodigies that fought with her, sixteen of them had been crippled.
The reason why Shui Qianrou was heading straight to the Mt. Black Cloudss was that someone had obviously driven a wedge for her to go seek for Jiang Yi, who was the no.1 prodigy of the Mt. Spirit Beast College. It was why Qian Wanguan had to go the mountain tonight.
Of course!
Qian Wanguan wasn’t afraid that Shui Qianrou might cripple Jiang Yi. He was afraid that Jiang Yi… would kill Shui Qianrou!
