Orange, Legendary Grade.
Feng Luo immediately clicked on and opened the detailed attribute list that had information about the Force Skill-Fusion Chip.
After using the chip, the user will be able to improve an existing skill of the user to a ‘Force Skill.’ The skill’s final effect will be determined by the player’s Force stat as well as the selected skill’s compatibility. (After the fusion, both the original skill as well as the Force Skill will be able to co-exist.)
“So, that’s what it is for.” Feng Luo understood the use of the Force Skill-Fusion Chip.
To put it more simply, it was a chip that could strengthen an existing skill. It would strengthen the Normal or Rare Grade skill that normally consumed MP or stamina to a Force Skill that consumed the Force. The user would still be able to keep their original skill. With regard to Force Skills, it meant the attached skills on Legendary Grade equipment.
Although Feng Luo had never tried it before and hence did not know of its strength and prowess, (The battle the night before with the Tyrant was when Feng Luo was in a state of deep sleep and did not remember), but he could feel that the skill should be quite powerful.
This meant that though the chip had an orange name, it was still some distance away from being a piece of Legendary Grade equipment. It was just the equivalent of a bonus attached skill on a piece of Legendary Grade equipment. (This was clearly not the case, because after the fusion the skill will not be affected by the equipment usage limit).
However, this was still within Feng Luo’s expectations.
War’s gaming system would always reward the players who managed to be first in something. These rewards were never insanely good, they were never items of top-class Godly equipment or Boss Grade pets or something of a similar vein.
The rewards would never be too shabby. For example, the Pet Honor Badge that Feng Luo received due to 24K that could directly revive pets immediately and reduce the penalty of pets dying was definitely an item that most players could only dream of having.
“The effect of the fused skill depends on the compatibility of the player’s Force attribute and the skill itself. Just what does that mean? Does the Force have attributes?” Feng Luo felt curious in his mind.
After that brief pause, he quickly returned to reading the content below.
[Based on your talent and Force awakening process, your Force received the bonus attribute – self-heal.]
Force Bonus Attribute? Based on talent?
Seeing this phrase, Feng Luo remembered an incident. Earlier, Haruko and Hunting Tiger, the two NPC special agent instructors, revealed that the Force was related to a player’s talent.
“So that’s what they meant. However, what did the words ‘self-healing’ mean?” Feng Luo quickly clicked on and opened the introduction page of self-healing.
[Self-healing (Beginner Force Bonus Attribute).]
Using the Force will enable the user to quickly treat the user’s body from damage and injury special effects that the user received from attacks. The user will also receive HP and stamina recovery that correspond to the consumed Force.
“Treats damage and injury special effects as well as recovering HP.” Feng Luo frowned slightly.
With regard to being able to treat special damage effects, it wasn’t all that useful for most players. It was quite rare for players’ bodies to receive severe special injury effects.
Though rare, it was still possible to happen, and when more severe special injury effects do occur, such as an arm being severed or an eye exploding, things would become quite troublesome.
Since Doctor players were not able to treat severe injuries like these, players had to go to hospitals in the game and go through specialized medical equipment for regenerative treatment before these injuries could be regenerated. If the player encountered such serious injuries during a mission or during some special storylines, the effect would be immense.
When all is said and done, the first half of this attached attribute was considered standard. If one were to use the Talent Grading to categorize it, it would most probably fall into a B or C-grade talent. The words, “Recover HP” really brought light into Feng Luo’s eyes again.
For in-game characters, what was the most important thing? There was no doubt it was their HP.
Once a character’s HP gauge was emptied, no matter how high their attack or defense coefficient, there would be no meaning at all.
As for the self-healing attribute, though the first half wasn’t all that special, if one were to use the Talent Grading system to assess this latter half of the attribute, one could definitely say that it was an A or even S-grade talent.
Feng Luo was still in the midst of thinking about this as his gaze landed on the next line in his logs. He was shocked, there was another notification about his talent.
[Since you’ve awakened the Force, your talent has been adjusted.]
The message was, without a shred of doubt, something he did not expect.
After awakening the Force, a player’s talent would actually be modified or adjusted. However, it wasn’t something that was incomprehensible.
Player talent was something given to the players by the system based on the player’s performance in the game during the first month. After that, in around half a year, the talent had not changed at all.
However, some players who were weaker at the beginning and did not perform well might have improved their abilities during this time period, and their skills might have gradually improved. In a sense, the low talent rating would no longer correspond with the player’s actual strength in the game. The system would have to readjust the player’s talent during an opportune moment, and it wasn’t strange that the system wanted to readjust the players’ talents.
Feng Luo remembered the hidden data that he queried earlier in the game capsule as well as the more detailed explanation regarding the development of the Seventh Brain Domain and the unlocking of the hidden gene.
“But to readjust player talent when the Force awakened, could there be other more realistic reasons for this to happen now?” Feng Luo had a vague feeling. Both of his talents were S-grade talents. If they were to be downgraded to B or C-grade talent during this readjustment, it would be quite unfortunate.
Feng Luo quickly switched to his talent interface page.
[Fatal (Talent).]
The final damage of Normal Attacks reduced to 75% of the original damage; Final damage of Weakness Attacks increases by 50%; Final damage of Fatal Attacks increases by 100%.
Talent Rating: S.
“Nothing has changed.” Feng Luo thought it was weird. He knew the details of his Fatal talent, and this was exactly the same as before.
“Could it be that the Evolution Talent has changed?” Feng Luo continued to scroll down to look.
[Evolution (Awakened Talent).]
“Throughout the game, some situations will allow the user to obtain permanent stats that strengthen the body, stats increase effect will diminish when situations are similar.” As expected, the talent that changed was the Evolution Talent.
Apart from the description, the talent rating of “S-grade” had also disappeared, and now, it had become “awakened talent.”
From the information of the description, the adjusted Evolution Talent did not seem to have been weaken; on the contrary, it seemed to have been strengthened.
Feng Luo tried remembered that the original description of the Evolution Talent was, “Throughout the game, some unique situations allow the user to obtain permanent stats that strengthen the body, stats can increase only once in similar situations.”
When comparing the before and after descriptions, the first thing to note was that the word “unique” from “unique situations” had been removed; secondly, the phrase “stats can increase only once in similar situations” had become “stats increase effect will diminish when situations are similar.”
Although only simple changes of words and sentence structure occurred, it was quite easy for Feng Luo to conclude that the Evolution Talent had strengthened.
“But hold on, why did the Evolution Talent have the words ‘awakened’ in them while the Fatal talent did not change at all?” Feng Luo suddenly thought of this important question.
