It was nighttime at Jiang He’s house back in Jinyintan Village.
There were weird voices echoing, seemingly pressured, anguished, and yet appearing euphoric to some extent.
It took around three hours for those voices to stop.
Moments later, Jiang He headed to the swimming pool to bathe…
“Huh!”
“Aren’t I being a little too extravagant, using a swimming pool as a bathtub?”
As that weird thought occurred to him, Jiang He rose and stepped out of the pool.
Sora, who was already on standby at a corner, walked up and said adorably, “Let me help you with your bathrobe, Master.”
Sora left respectfully after she draped the comfortable silk bathrobe over him, whereas Jiang He lit himself a cigarette and headed inside the farm.
A full moon was hovering above it at the moment, with a bright star nearby.
It was the Star Core of Mars.
After having obtained it, Jiang He had intended to achieve enlightenment the Dao it contained as Hu Mei had recommended… but decided that it was utterly useless after twenty minutes of enlightening.
Still, it was not as if Hu Mei was talking nonsense—the effect was simply too weak.
It just did not work significantly for Jiang He, as it would be better to have two cups of Elder Tea of Enlightenment. On the other hand, once he spent three million Farm Points to buy a pack of Living Soil of the Nine Heavens to strengthen it, it became a premium-grade immortal item.
He would summon it to him and use it to bludgeon someone, and when he did not need it, he would simply hang it in his farm as a star.
Bludgeoning was the only attacking method of the Star Core after all. Its mass was astronomical in the first place, and would not be lighter than a planet after it was planted. In fact, it just might crush your average Golden Immortal.
At the same time, tremendous and chaotic flashing thunderbolts as well as chaotic sword light swirled in the farm.
The Scripture of Chaos Thundersword and the Secret Art of Chaos Thundersword were ripe.
Jiang He walked up and reached his hand between the flashing thunderbolts.
A resounding rumble could be heard right then as the chaotic thunderbolts erupted instantly, before shrinking in the next second into an ancient text that landed in Jiang He’s hand.
[Ding!]
[+50 million Farm Points.]
A crisp System Notification jingled in his mind along with the hefty Farm Point reward. Jiang He, however, was not that delighted since he was busy staring blankly at the text in his hand.
The cover was labeled with ancient script.
Jiang He focused his gaze, having a hunch that the words meant ‘Scripture of Chaos Thundersword’… but the problem was that he did not recognize a single word.
It was a little nonsensical.
I can’t read a cultivation manual I created myself???
Jiang He then felt more agony after a careful check.
He had been deliberately about ‘tiers’ when he created the Scripture of Chaos Thundersword, which was why the cultivation method was not divided into different tiers… but the damned System had actually put in the four phases of initiate, beginner, mastery and full-fledged for him!
“Initiate is equal to full-fledged Heavenly Immortal, beginner is equal to full-fledged True Immortal… I would reach Golden Immortal if I could cultivate it to Mastery, and complete cultivation of the Scripture of Chaos Thundersword means ascension to Grand Luo.”
Jiang He mused to himself for a while before realizing with a start and exclaimed, “It seems that I can only cultivate up to Grand Luo with this cultivation method. The next stage, Demi-Divinity, is reached not by cultivation, but by the enlightenment towards Dao Boundary.”
As for becoming Divine?
That was too far for him for now, and considering it was unnecessary.
“System, how many Farm Points do I need to cultivate the Scripture of Chaos Thundersword up to Beginner?”
“One billion? That’s not much. What about Mastery?”
“Ten billion…”
Jiang He was speechless at that.
Can’t you give a discount?
Although he was not surprised at the cost, the problem here was that Farm Points were too difficult to earn. He had accumulated over 1.5 billion Farm Points before becoming immortal, and had afterwards come up with various ideas to earn it: planting mutated rice and other mutated plants, as well as mystic treasures, spirit stones, and medicinal pellets…
He had even helped disciples of the various major sects weather their retributions whilst extracting the heavenly thunderbolts of retribution that he planted. And despite all that effort, he had only managed to reach the great threshold of five billion… when was he going to reach ten billion at this rate?
Most importantly, he had basically gathered most of what was worth planting on Earth. Unless he could gather a large collection of spirit stones, premium-grade soul pellets or even immortal pellets, he would not be earning more Farm Points.
“Sigh… I’ll cultivate the Scripture of Chaos Thundersword to Beginner for now. Though I’m already a full-fledged Heavenly Immortal, I should first learn this before progressing to beginner later. As for Farm Points… it’s not that serious, since I just have to get to outer space and look for some opportunity.”
And once he thought of outer space, Jiang He remembered the Sky Demons.
“That said… why aren’t the foolish Sky Demons coming after me for revenge anymore? I could hold back a little next time instead of blowing them all to hell in an instant. That way, I just might earn something… Oh!”
“Weren’t those morons from the Unbounded Demon Sect and the Blood Demon Sect declaring the return of the immortals day in, day out? It’s already a month, so why is there still not one immortal to be seen?”
Jiang He complained before proceeding to cultivate the Scripture of Chaos Thundersword with a thought.
His cultivation style was simple, violent but effective.
[Ding!]
[-1 billion Farm Points.]
[Congratulations, host! You have cultivated the Scripture of Chaos Thundersword to Beginner.]
Ooom!
In the next instant, a curious energy signature spread over Jiang He’s body. All he felt was endless chaotic Thudnersword Qi growing within his limbs and bones, while his veins of Heavenly Immortal Dao released frightening immortal might on its own.
Crack.
A clear sound could be heard, and a bloody slit opened in Jiang He’s physical body that could match an inferior-grade immortal item.
And that was just the start.
In an instant, countless narrow slits split open all over Jiang He’s body, and his silk bathrobe worth several hundred thousand bucks was soon dyed red. He could even feel his bones, tendons and skin being torn apart endlessly by that energy.
“Damn it!”
Jiang He cursed, his eyes going red.
Was refining his physique with the light of the Chaos Thundersword supposed to this painful?
Still, when he took out a pile of band-aids and were about to stick them on himself, he noticed that the slits were rapidly regenerating. Likewise, his broken bones and tendons were tearing themselves apart and reassembling endlessly as well, which left Jiang He further anguished.
The metamorphosis only stopped after a dozen minutes.
Jiang He then dropped to the ground, prone while panting heavily, his gaze appearing blank just then.
He only came to his senses minutes later, and smiled helplessly while sighing, “I’m feeling so miserable… I wouldn’t have created such a frightening cultivation method if I had known…”
“Such a travesty I caused has to be stuffed inside my own stomach, even if it means broken teeth… Eh?”
Suddenly, Jiang He’s eyes widened.
What was going on?
His physique seemed to have improved, and his strength had basically doubled.
His body’s toughness had increased by eighty percent as well… even average mediocre-grade immortal items could hardly hurt him now!
“My physical toughness was full-fledged Heavenly Immortal in the first place… did it get stronger after I cultivated the Scripture of Chaos Thundersword?”
“Isn’t this a little illogical?”
His physical toughness was equal to Heavenly Immortal, but not even mediocre-grade immortal items could hurt him… did he even have to fight now?
Nonetheless, Jiang He became even more shocked as his immortal swept out.
“What the hell!”
“I’ve condensed so much more Heavenly Immortal Dao too? There’s 108, each of which were condensed to its limit… and my spirit had strengthened considerably as well?”
Jiang He froze.
Wasn’t the condensation of each Immortal Dao as difficult as the next beyond thirty-six?
How did he condense 108 unwittingly?
Jiang He then turned his eyes toward the chaotic sword light.
If the Scripture of Chaos Thundersword brought a few surprises, what about the Secret Art of the Chaos Thundersword?

Meanwhile, inside Wang Hou’s personal cultivation room at the Martial Arts Department Headquarters in Jingdu City, Wang Hou was sitting cross-legged in meditation but there was a look of confusion on his face.
“I have now reached full-fledged Paragon in martial arts, and I have found my path for the future… but why can’t I advance?”
“Though there hadn’t been anything important happening on Earth lately, that itself is the sign of a coming storm… I must ascend before the immortals return instead of putting every burden on Jiang He… Eh?”
Suddenly, Wang Hou’s brow twitched abruptly.
He quickly withdrew from his meditation and hooked up to the power of the Star Mpa.
A scene hence slowly took form in his mind: a dozen figures emanating with strong immortal might had suddenly appeared among the endless stars. Each human silhouette also displayed the attributes of daemon cultivators, and either had pointy ears or woolly foxtails.
“Immortal Fox?”
“Could it be… that the Immortal Foxes of Green Hill have returned?”
Wnag Hou’s face fell. Remembering Jiang He’s request, he promptly whipped out his phone to call him.
And yet…
“The number you have dialed is not within the service area…”
Wang Hou quietly cursed when the mechanical voice spoke beside his ear, hung up, and dialed Cheng Dongfeng’s number.
After Cheng Dongfeng answered a dozen seconds later, Wang Hou barked at him right away, “Go to Jiang He’s house right now, Cheng Dongfeng! Tell him that the Immortal Foxes of Green Hill have returned!”
