Chen Zhao wouldn’t actually kill Jerome Yemen just because he was annoying.
“So annoying. We’re going to our rooms.”
Charlotte looked at Chen Zhao’s backside. The death on him was even stronger.
He would die here, right?
Charlotte shook her head.
She wouldn’t waste her time on people who refused to listen.
As a spiritualist and witch, she’d seen many people who didn’t believe in her.
These people usually didn’t meet a good end.
It was unfortunate that the two girls would die with him.
Jerome also looked at Chen Zhao’s back. A shadow flashed past his eyes.
As soon as they entered the elevator, Chen Zhao started berating Yura and Cheryl.
He kept repeating the same things, so Yura and Cheryl already started spacing off amidst Chen Zhao’s nagging.
He was honestly too annoying. If he could insult them in unique ways, they would probably reflect on themselves and feel bad.
Suddenly, the elevator shook.
The lights flashed on and off a few times.
Chen Zhao raised his head. An evil spirit’s head popped out of the top of the elevator.
Chen Zhao got on his toes. He jumped lightly and grabbed the evil spirit.
Ever since he learned spells from the Qingyi Sect, Chen Zhao became very skilled at dealing with these regular evil spirits.
“Brother, what’s that in your hand?” Yura asked. “It looks like a hazy ball.”
Chen Zhao’s eyebrow twitched. Cheryl had werewolf blood, so she could see souls.
But Yura shouldn’t see them, right?
After all, only those who’d gone through life and death trials were able to be spiritualists, right?
“You can see it?”
“Is that a spirit?” Yura asked.
Chen Zhao wondered if it was because Yura got his bone marrow.
Chen Zhao squeezed the evil spirit and it let out a pained cry. “Can you hear it?”
Yura shook her head. “No.”
Was it because it wasn’t complete?
Whatever. Chen Zhao wasn’t an expert either. Why was he thinking so much about it?
Chen Zhao crushed the evil spirit in his hands. It was probably from the Evil Spirit Society.
Blackie collected the soul fragments.
“Sleep in my room tonight,” Chen Zhao said.
He would be worried if they stayed in the same room.
After leaving the elevator, they saw Margaret open her door.
She seemed to be in a bad condition and smelled heavily of alcohol.
“D*mmit,” she swore out loud. “Why isn’t there a single worker? What kind of sh*t hotel is this?”
Seeing Chen Zhao walk over, her expression grew unfriendlier.
“Hi, Margaret.”
Margaret didn’t like Chen Zhao at all. She turned and closed the door.
Knock, knock—
“Sh*t, who is it now?”
Margaret opened her door again, but there was no one there.
The lights in the hallway flickered. Margaret thought that she’d heard incorrectly.
Suddenly, she felt something touching her thigh.
But there was nothing there. When she turned, she felt a hand squeeze her chest.
Margaret shuddered. Her mind cleared instantly.
“Ah! Ghost… A ghost!”
Margaret tore out of the room and pounded on Chen Zhao’s door across the hall.
Just then, the unseen hand appeared again, squeezing her butt.
“Ah… Open up, open up.”
Chen Zhao opened the door. He looked at Margaret, who was screaming outside.
“Margaret, can I help you?”
“Ghost, ghost…”
Chen Zhao looked behind Margaret. He saw a perverted ghost harassing her.
“Come in.” Chen Zhao pulled Margaret in.
Margaret saw Chen Zhao pick up his leg and kick the air before closing the door.
She was very nervous right now. She looked at Chen Zhao.
“Mr. Chen…I—I… I apologize for my offense earlier.”
“It’s okay.” Chen Zhao shrugged.
She hadn’t done anything other than thinking he was crazy.
Chen Zhao didn’t mind. Really.
“You…You…You can see some things?”
Margaret gulped. She looked really nervous.
Her entire body was tense. She was seriously scared.
She thought back to how Chen Zhao spoke to the air on the plane.
Perhaps there really had been a person that she couldn’t see.
Chen Zhao wasn’t really delusional or crazy.
He could see things that regular people couldn’t see.
Margaret entered the room and saw that Yura and Cheryl were there too.
They were watching TV while eating dinner.
“Sit anywhere. Want something to drink?”
“Give me a glass of water. I feel like I’m not thinking straight.”
Margaret sat in fear. The TV screen suddenly turned to static.
Then a face was pushed out as if the screen was liquid.
“Ah!”
“Brother!” Yura called. “Come, there’s another head.”
Chen Zhao walked out with a cup of water.
He glanced at the face in the TV.
With a thud, he smashed the TV.
“Brother, are we going to be annoyed by these ghosts all night?”
Chen Zhao was helpless too. He shrugged. “If I knew it’ll be like this, we should’ve stayed outside. I have a headache.”
“Brother, look outside.” Yura pointed at the window.
“Ah!” Margaret was scared again.
There was a person pressed onto the glass.
This person wore a suit, but his skin had unnatural black lines on it.
His eyes were also all white. Black liquid came out of his mouth.
He was pounding on the window glass with his head.
“Blackie, what’s that?” Chen Zhao asked. “That’s not a spirit, right?”
“It’s a person possessed by a filth spirit.”
“What’s a filth spirit?”
“It’s when an evil spirit stays in the human world for too long. Their consciousness is completely destroyed. Then someone collects them. When there are enough collected, they’ll be like liquid. When a living being touches them, they would invade the flesh body. What you see coming out of his mouth are filth spirits.”
“Sounds disgusting. Can you take care of it?”
“I can’t,” Blackie said. “Only you can.”
Seeing that Chen Zhao was talking to someone, Margaret suddenly shivered.
“Mr. Chen, is there something next to you?”
“I’m practicing my lines.”
Margaret pretended ignorance, but she knew by now.
Now, there were more and more filth spirits crawling on the glass.
It really looked disgusting.
“Brother, think of something.” Yura felt her scalp go numb too. They were eating dinner but these distorted guys were making a scene across the glass.
