Half an hour later, at the police station.
Quan Jue and Chi Jiao looked across the table at Shi Kuo, whose hands were handcuffed.
Shi Kuo lowered his head and stared at the handcuffs. It was as if he had a deep grudge against his hands as he dug his nails into them.
Seeing that he was silent and his eyes were empty, Chi Jiao took a deep breath and asked, “Do you know why I wanted to see you?”

She had investigated Shi Kuo before. He was a very kind person and adopted many stray animals. He often helped the elderly, too. Moreover, he seemed distant from his parents and had always been much closer to his grandmother.
In short, what she had learned about Shi Kuo showed that he was definitely not a ruthless person.
Shi Kuo curled his lips in a half-smile. “Of course, I’m not that easy to entice. Before my grandmother passed away, she kept telling me to be a kind person. Therefore, I didn’t want to do bad things. I reached out to someone to help me first. I thought Jiang Shuang was a good teacher, but in the end, hehe, she’s a b*tch.”
