There was an open window in front of the stairs on the fourth floor. The pale moonlight shone through the window and onto the corridor, elongating their shadows.
Standing in the corridor, Chi Jiao and Beitang Lie soon heard a screeching sound. It sounded a little piercing, as if something sharp was rubbing against the ground. It made their necks turn cold.
The little pink lizard stuck closely to Chi Jiao, while Beitang Lie carefully hid behind her.
Chi Jiao calmly watched as a small teddy bear with a knife blade embedded under its feet slowly walked out of the darkness. It stood on a long corridor not far away and tilted its head to stare at them.
“This is… a teddy bear?” Beitang Lie stared at the teddy bear in confusion.
“It’s the teddy bear the little girl in the red dress was carrying. It’s definitely not something good.” As Chi Jiao spoke, she pulled out the pistol at her waist and pointed it at the teddy bear.
Unexpectedly, the teddy bear was very frightened when it saw this. It raised its hand and waved at her. It seemed to have its own way of thinking. Its small expression looked very conflicted. After thinking hard for a while, it seemed to have come up with a good idea. After raising its hand, it suddenly took out a bouquet of flowers from a small pocket on its stomach. It stood on tiptoes and stretched out its arm, looking like it wanted to offer the flowers to Chi Jiao.
“Boss, is this teddy bear trying to ingratiate itself to you?” Beitang Lie looked at the teddy bear and suddenly felt that this little thing did not look that scary.
Chi Jiao didn’t buy it. She calmly loaded the pistol and aimed it at the teddy bear’s head.
This made the teddy bear look even more horrified. It quickly tossed the bouquet aside and dug into its pocket. It then took out some fireworks from his pocket and ignited them.
Fireworks and sparkling confetti flew out together. Two white pigeons flew out with them. They stood on top of the teddy bear and tugged at its ears with their beaks.
The teddy bear looked extremely helpless and pitiful after being pecked.
When Beitang Lie saw this, he completely forgot about his fear and started laughing happily.
“Chirp!” The little pink lizard was also amused. Lying on Beitang Lie’s head, it laughed until its stomach hurt.
Only Chi Jiao didn’t laugh. Instead, she raised her gun and walked towards the teddy bear.
The teddy bear continued to rummage through its pockets anxiously. However, it seemed to have used up all its items to please others. It searched for a long time but couldn’t find anything. It could only stuff its paws into its pockets and kneel on the ground, trembling as it waited for Chi Jiao to walk over.
“Stop playing tricks. I know you’re not anything good, and I’m not interested in playing such silly games with you.” Chi Jiao stood in front of the teddy bear and pulled the trigger, shooting through its ear.
“What’s wrong with you? Little girl, you’re not adorable at all.” The teddy bear’s body suddenly emitted the voice of a little girl. It raised its head, and its adorable appearance instantly disappeared, revealing a face dripping with blood. Its mouth was split open, revealing a mouthful of sharp teeth. It suddenly took out a meter-long sickle from its pocket and circled around Chi Jiao’s neck, wanting to cut off her head.
Chi Jiao was already prepared. She bent over and allowed the sharp blade to slide harmlessly over her head. Propping her hands on the ground, she somersaulted into the air and landed gracefully. She then pulled the trigger and released a few long needles.
