Seeing the two of them walking towards her, Chi Jiao smiled sweetly and greeted them. “Officer Huo, Sister Yao.”
“Little Jiaojiao, long time no see.” Pei Yao’s eyes shone as she looked at Chi Jiao. She felt that in just a few days, Jiaojiao had become even cuter than before.
If only Jiaojiao were her biological sister. Unfortunately, she only had a stinky little brother.
Huo Chen looked deeply at Chi Jiao and couldn’t help but smile as well.
He realized that the girl in front of him seemed to have some kind of magic that made him feel happy every time he saw her.

It wasn’t clear if she was talking to herself or the other soul inside her.
Pei Yao had just entered the living room when the detector in her hand let out an alarm.
This proved that an Esper was present.
Chi Jiao glanced at the detector in Pei Yao’s hand, and her lips curled up slightly.
Fortunately, her god grandfather had given her a piece of jade that could interfere with the magnetic field. If she wore it on her body at all times, it could shield her extraordinary magnetic field as an Esper from others.
“She’s in that small room. Officer Huo, you know her too. She’s my stepmother’s daughter, Chi Yan,” Chi Jiao said slowly as she looked sideways at him.
Huo Chen’s eyelids twitched slightly before he strode towards the small room.
Pei Yao and Chi Jiao followed closely behind him.
The door to the small room was unlocked. Huo Chen pushed the door open and walked in, only to see Chi Yan sitting in the corner, talking to herself with her messy hair.
Chi Yan had gone mad.
Espers were already mentally weaker than ordinary people.

After Pei Yao entered the room, the detector’s screen flickered even more intensely. The vibration was also getting louder, proving that she was very close to an Esper.

With that, Pei Yao walked to Chi Yan and squatted down.

“Did she hurt you?” Huo Chen stared at Chi Yan for a moment before turning to ask Chi Jiao.
Chi Jiao shook her head. “No.”
“Then, why is she here?” Huo Chen looked at her tightly and asked.
“I just invited her over to ask some questions. Then, I found out that she was pregnant, yet she actually used Mesmerizing Water on herself. Mesmerizing Water has a component in it—the nectar of a Zhutuo Flower…” Chi Jiao’s tone turned incredulous. “The nectar of a Zhutuo Flower can make a person infertile and can also cause fetal deformities or even fetal death.
