Green Demon looked at Pei Yao in surprise. “Eh? Why aren’t you dodging?”
Pei Yao’s skin and flesh were lacerated by the vines. She gritted her teeth and grabbed the vines instead, allowing the sharp thorns to pierce into her flesh without wavering. She said fiercely, “Of course, I won’t dodge. I’m waiting for you to make a move!”
As soon as she finished speaking, Pei Yao gritted her teeth and swung the vines. The vines flashed in the air and wrapped around She Qi and Green Demon’s bodies like a ring.
She Qi’s skin was pierced by the vines. His expression darkened as he looked at Green Demon angrily. “Trash, what are you doing?!”
Green Demon shrank back in fear and said in a panic, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry!”
Green Demon hurriedly wanted to untie the vines, but the more anxious he was, the tighter the ropes became. The sharp thorns pierced into She Qi’s thin, pale skin, causing bright red blood to flow out.
The muscles on She Qi’s lips twitched in anger. He roared at Green Demon, “What the hell are you doing?!”
Green Demon cried. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry! Sob sob!”
“Shut up! Hurry up and untie me!” She Qi continued to roar, but he suddenly felt a wave of heat. The temperature in the entire room rose.
Green Demon was so frightened by She Qi that he didn’t dare to move. She Qi’s expression changed slightly as he looked at Pei Yao.
Pei Yao gathered all her strength and glared at him. “Bastard, go to hell!”
Boom—!
Blazing flames surged out of Pei Yao’s body as soon as she finished speaking, instantly enveloping her and making her a huge fiery figure. The flames approached She Qi and his companion, igniting the vines around them.
“So hot, so hot! Ah! Lord She Qi, save me! There’s a fire!!” As an Esper who could control plants, Green Demon was most afraid of flames. He had always been timid, so he was scared silly by the sight of those flames. He panicked and pounced on She Qi.
Disgust rose in She Qi’s eyes as he warned angrily, “Ah! Don’t come near me. Get lost!”
However, Green Demon didn’t listen to him at all. He kept charging toward She Qi. The flames on his body touched She Qi’s clothes and instantly ignited them.
“Xu Ye, run!” Pei Yao shouted with all her might.
Xu Ye carried Beitang Lie and rushed out.
“Damn it, stop right there!” She Qi said. However, his body was entangled by the fire and vines and he couldn’t move. He could only watch as Xu Ye rushed out of the room with Beitang Lie on his back.
Meanwhile, Pei Yao persisted for another minute. Only when the vines on her body were burned away did she start to sway. Her legs went limp and she fell heavily to the ground.
This was great. She had bought Beitang Lie and Xu Ye time to escape. It was enough for them to find their boss even if it was just a few minutes!
A shadow fell over Pei Yao. She looked up in surprise. In the next second, She Qi grabbed her neck angrily and pulled her up from the ground.
Pei Yao gave a painful groan as She Qi lifted her into the air.
