Jian Qi winked playfully at Tang Jinyu before she formed the shape of a heart with her fingers and showed it to him.
Everyone. “…”
‘That’s enough, Big Sister Qi!’
‘We’ll put an end to your display of romance if you’re not careful!’
Tang Jinyu ignored Jian Qi’s behavior, and he continued to speak. “Next, we will assign tasks to each group…”
Thereafter, Jian Qi kept her eyes on Tang Jinyu. Everyone else seemed to be indicating that they were keen to leave.
Meanwhile, Tang Jinyu very calmly ignored Jian Qi’s gaze.
Once everything had been agreed upon, people began to leave. Instead of leaving, Jian Qi walked directly up to Tang Jinyu.
She then reached for the stool nearby and placed it next to his desk before sitting on it.
“Instructor Tang, you’ve given them all of the tasks. What are we going to do?” Jian Qi asked.
“We’ll drink coffee!” Tang Jinyu said as he looked at Jian Qi.
“How can we just drink coffee? Our teammates are risking their lives on the frontlines. We can’t do this!” Jian Qi looked at Tang Jinyu seriously. “Instructor Tang, won’t you feel guilty?”
Tang Jinyu continued to stare at her deeply. “No!” He responded calmly.
Jian Qi. “…”
‘D*mn. He’s so calm!’
“Instructor Tang, we should be risking our lives along with our teammates. What do you think?” Jian Qi smiled.
“You can leave now. I’ll let you know what to do when the time comes.”
Jian Qi lowered her gaze to glance at a stack of anti-terrorism documents on the desk. There was still one unopened folder.
“What’s that?” Jian Qi asked as she extended a hand toward the document.
Despite her speedy movement, Tang Jinyu reached out and grabbed her hand before she could reach the document.
“What are you doing?” Tang Jinyu asked coldly.
Jian Qi was stunned for a moment.
Could his hand be any quicker?
“Little Tang Tang, you actually touched my tiny hand on your own initiative.”
With her face blushing red, Jian Qi flipped her hand around to hold Tang Jinyu’s hand. She was now holding his hand with both of her hands. “If you want to hold my hand, just say so!” She looked at Tang Jinyu dreamily.
“Jian Qi, I think I ought to send you back to the entertainment industry!” Tang Jinyu fumed with the veins on his forehead showing.
“Little Tang Tang isn’t in the entertainment industry. I refuse to go!” Jian Qi flirted calmly. “I want to be wherever Little Tang Tang is. That’s the only place I want to stay in.”
“Very well. Remember what you said!” Tang Jinyu looked at her.
After saying so, he pulled his hand away. “You can get out now!”
“Didn’t you say you were going to give me a one-to-one briefing?” Jian Qi asked.
“Have you not had enough of running?”
Jian Qi took a quick glance at the folder, which Tang Jinyu proceeded to put in his drawer, before looking away quickly.
It seemed that she would not be able to see what was inside.
“In that case, goodnight, Little Tang Tang!”
Jian Qi stood up and began walking away. When she arrived at the door, she stopped walking and turned to look at Tang Jinyu. “Little Tang Tang, will the current mission be dangerous?”
Tang Jinyu paused amidst the act of reaching for a piece of paper. Without looking up at her, he responded in a soft voice, “Don’t worry. I won’t let anything happen to you.” It sounded like a promise.
Jian Qi was stunned by his words. When she looked up at the man who was arranging the documents on his desk with his head lowered, a glimmer appeared in her eyes as she smiled.
After a brief moment, Jian Qi began to speak. “Little Tang Tang, if we get into a dangerous situation again, you must not dive in to save me like what you did the last time when we bumped into those bandits in the snowy mountains.”
“Jian Qi, what are you thinking?” Tang Jinyu looked up at her deeply.
Jian Qi beamed at him. “Thinking of you, of course! I want you to be alright!”
