Chapter 1214 – Who Slept on the Sofa
“Ah… Lin Yi? You’re awake?” Tang Yun was worried about Lin Yi- she saw how much blood and effort he used, after all, and so even after she’d fallen asleep, she still missed Lin Yi.
Xiaoxiao, also, jumped up from the sofa, and blurted out, “Lin Yi honey, you’re okay now? Wanna eat something?”
Lin Yi felt touched as he looked at the two, not sure if he should be amused, “You guys are tired, you should rest. I’ll make something myself.
“Not tired, we’ve slept already, and the dishes are all ready, we just need to put them into the pan!” Xiaoxiao waved her hand and rubbed her eyes.
Tang Yun stood up as well, “We haven’t eaten yet, let’s eat together.”
Lin Yi couldn’t help but sigh- if he’d known that this would happen he wouldn’t have tried that many times in the jade space, wasting so much time- he might as well have waited until nighttime to experiment with all that!
“Let’s go then, I’ll help,” Lin Yi nodded.
In the kitchen, Tang Yun and Xiaoxiao learnt, to their surprise, that Lin Yi’s cooking skill was higher than the two of them- he was fast, but it didn’t seem like he was rushing or too busy at all, he was really orderly!
The two slowly turned into his helpers instead, helping him get the ingredients and dishes. It wasn’t a while until all the food was in front of them, ready to be eaten.
“Lin Yi honey, I didn’t know you were so amazing! You could be a high class chef already! Chu Mengyao and Chen Yushu sure are lucky, I even want to move in now!” Xiaoxiao drooled as she looked at the dishes in envy.
Xiaoxiao’s cooking skill was pretty good- she lived alone since a young age, and had gotten used to it. But she had only learnt some simple dishes, since there was no reason to try too hard.
Tang Yun, on the other hand, made food at home herself too, but due to her family situation, the stuff she ate was all ordinary food like potatoes and vegetables. She didn’t quite know how to handle so many fresh ingredientsts.
“Haha, move in then, I’ll talk to Yao Yao about it,” Lin Yi smiled, promising her. His thoughts were that he didn’t know when Xiaoxiao’s sickness would start again. Tianlong found out in time today, but what if he weren’t there? What if he was on a mission? Would Xiaoxiao be dead then?
And so Lin Yi thought that this idea was quite nice- the Miss and Shu were understanding people, too, they were both reasonable and supportive.
“It’s okay, I was just saying it on a whim, I won’t get used to it anyway…” Xiaoxiao declined Lin Yi’s acceptance.
“Alright, but you can always come when you want. The door’s always open,” Lin Yi naturally knew that Xiaoxiao wasn’t yet as close with the Miss and Shu as she was with Tang Yun! And the situation now was quite clear: Tang Yun and Xiaoxiao were one group, Mengyao and Yushu were one group. The two factions were at peace now, but Xiaoxiao would still feel outnumbered in the face of Yushu and Mengyao.
“Right, Lin Yi, you should call Yao Yao and Shu. They called before once they saw you didn’t come back, and I told them what happend. They’re really worried about you, and they wanted you to call them and tell them you’re okay no matter what time it was!” Tang Yun suddenly recalled what happened.
“Okay,” Lin Yi nodded and took out his phone.
“Hello? Lin Yi?” The Miss picked up right away.
“Yeah, it’s me. I woke up, I’m fine now. You and Shu should rest soon, I’ll be staying at Xiaoxioa’s tonight,” Lin Yi said.
“Alright, you take care of Xiaoxiao then, Shu and I will sleep first.” Mengyao was evidently tired, judging from her voice.
Lin Yi felt touched once more- the people around him cared for him so much! The Miss wasn’t good at voicing that care, but he could sense that it was there.
Xiaoxiao’s house only had one small bed and one small sofa, barely able to hold one person. One could tell that Xiaoxiao wouldn’t let any random person in even when she lived by herself, and she didn’t have any friends before and so no one would visit. She just lived there alone.
The problem then arose- there was only one bed, how were they supposed to split this?
“Xiaoxiao, I think you should sleep on the bed. Yun Yun and I will sleep on the living room’s floor, it’s clean anyway. We’ll just put a mattress on it.” Lin Yi suggested.
“Yun Yun, you’re a guest, of course I can’t let you sleep on the ground- I’ll sleep there, you take the bed…” Xiaoxiao said after somet hought.
“Xiaoxiao, you still need to recover- we don’t want you getting a cold on the ground,” Tang Yun smiled, “You just want Lin Yi to hug you on the ground, right?”
“Wha- No!” Xiaoxiao blushed after getting exposed.
“Haha, maybe I’ll sleep on the sofa, and Lin Yi could sleep on the ground beside your bed?” Tang Yun, of course, knew about what Xiaoxiao was thinking. Although, she very much looked forward to that experience with Lin Yi herself- it was just not the time to be fighting with Xiaoxiao over it!

“That settles it then!” Tang Yun concluded with a smile, “Hurry and sleep, we still have school tomorrow!”
With that, Tang Yun got up and walked towards the sofa.
Xiaoxiao couldn’t help but feel bad when she saw Tang Yun leave- she felt sour! She even tried to exploit Tang Yun to make her keep her promise and force herself into the relationship, and now it was clear that Tang Yun was an extremely kind girl. She shouldn’t have done that!
“Well, let’s go rest then,” Lin Yi didn’t say anything else- he still had a long tme with Tang Yun, but his time with Xiaoxiao was counted by the day.
