Chapter 1149 – Ghosts Everywhere
Mengyao was getting worried that Yushu hadn’t gotten back yet after so long. Where was she?
There weren’t any dangers on the beach at night, but it was dark. What if some accident had happened? She scolded her all the time, but she cared about her.
“Yun Yun, where do you think Shu went? It’s been so long?” Mengyao was getting worried.
“Yeah, what if something happened?” Tang Yun was the same. She was love rivals with the two, but they were still good friends! She didn’t want anything to happen to them, or she wouldn’t have called Lin Yi to save Mengyao back then otherwise.
“I’ll go take a look!” Mengyao said after some hesitation.
“I’ll go with you?” Tang Yun sat up.
“It’s fine. I’ll go alone–she’d get worried if she came back to see no one in the tent,” Mengyao said.
“Alright, I’ll wait here then. Be careful!” Tang Yun nodded in agreement.
Mengyao walked out of the tent, but it took only a couple of steps before she noticed a black figure running towards her, screaming ‘ghosts! Ghosts!’ as he ran.
Mengyao jumped in shock at the sight, calling out. “Ah!”
Taizao didn’t dare look back as he charged forward, feeling that he was the most unfortunate man alive, bumping into a real ghost? Could his actions have angered the spirit since he mimicked it?
Taizao didn’t dare stop–he kept running from the ghost behind him!
But a while later, another ghost came out in front of him!
Taizao raised his head subconsciously, and he saw that the white-faced ghost from earlier was right in front of him, some distance away!
“Ahhhh, F*CK!” Taizao was already in a panic. How did this ghost move so fast? He didn’t even see anything, and now it was in front of her! But then, she was a ghost. Of course, she’d be faster!
Taizao thought that Mengyao was Yushu! It was under the moonlight, after all, and in a panic, one wouldn’t differentiate between the two girls’ white faces and white sleeping gowns. Yushu wasn’t as tall as Mengyao, but he wasn’t in the state to consider such details!
He was even more afraid once he confirmed that Mengyao was the ghost from before. He noticed another tent some distance away- Yushu, Mengyao, and Tang Yun’s tent!
A burst of energy hit him as he charged to the tent to take cover- there was no time to deal with the mission now, and he didn’t care if they would laugh at a man like him for running! He’d rather hide behind the girls than die!
Mengyao was also quite confused at his actions! A black figure was charging over scared her. It was the middle of the night. It’d scare anyone!
But hearing the guy scream made it clear that he was Su Taizao! She was no longer afraid of then. Why would she be afraid of a guy like him?
What was that he was screaming about? Ghosts?
Taizao was screaming about ghosts, and so Mengyao looked behind Taizao- there were no ghosts, only a happy and excited Shu waving her hand!
Shu ran over to Mengyao, smiling so hard she couldn’t even walk steadily.
“Shu, what’re you doing? What’s up with Su Taizao?” Mengyao didn’t know why the guy was running like a madman, but it had to be Shu! It was clearly here look at that smile on her face!
“Hehe, Yao Yao, you think I look like a ghost?” Yushu spat out her tongue. “Wooooh, I’m a ghost…”
“Pfft-!” Mengyao started laughing a well- so this was why Taizao was running around, Yushu was the ghost he was talking about! “I was wondering why he looked so scared to see me, he thought I was a ghost!”
“Haha, yeah, Yao Yao- we’re sisters after all! Nice teamwork!” Yushu nodded happily. “Su Taizao probably thought I could teleport or something, jumping right in front of him! Oh, where is he?”
“Ah- I think he charged into our tent!” Mengyao jumped. “What about Tang Yun?”
“Oh? He went into the tent? Then we’ve got some fun on our hands! I wonder if Yun Yun sis would be able to finish the job?” Yushu’s eyes lit up.
“Finish the job?” Mengyao paused.
“Yeah, we’ll be able to see if Yun Yun sis is a good candidate to be our sister from now on!” Yushu nodded seriously.
Mengyao understood some part of that. There was an underlying meaning to the term ‘sister’! Mengyao cleared her throat. “Don’t just say stuff like that, Shu. We need to go check on Tang Yun!”
Taizao was already in the tent–he thought that he was safe now! He breathed out in relief. “Great, I’m home!”
Taizao’s sudden visit took Tang Yun by complete surprise!
If he didn’t speak up, she wouldn’t even know that this was Su Taizao! It was dimmer in here than outside, after all, and Tang Yun didn’t understand why this guy was in her tenet. Where were Mengyao and Yushu?
Tang Yun stared at Taizao, confused. He also raised his head at the same time, catching his breath when he saw Tang Yun, sitting some distance in front of him!
“Shit, why’s the ghost in the tent?!!” Taizao jumped up–wasn’t this Mengyao, Yushu, and Tang Yun’s tent? Where were they, why was there a ghost here?!
