Gu Yusheng was upset and grew angrier when he heard the housekeeper’s cry. He stopped and turned around to stare at the housekeeper from the top of the stairs. He scolded her again. “What about it? It was almost ten o’clock. She was wearing pajamas and had no money, cell phone, or car keys. He wasn’t sure if the housekeeper would find her.
The anger in Gu Yusheng was suddenly replaced with worry.
He started to become anxious. He couldn’t sit or stand still. He walked back and forth on the balcony with a cigarette between his fingers.
The time that had passed wasn’t too much, since he had only burnt half of the cigarette, but Gu Yusheng felt like it had been a century.
The longer he waited, the more anxious he was. When he lifted up his hand to take a puff, he almost put the burning end into his mouth. He was upset and stubbed the cigarette out. He turned around to walk back to the room to find his cell phone and call the housekeeper.
