With his eyes squinted into a hard line, Zhao Yao began scrutinizing the pair of husky and American shorthair standing opposite him. His right eyebrow shot up as he mumbled, “Why do I feel … did someone just scold me?”
Elizabeth who was squeezed within Zhao Yao’s oversized jacket was growing impatient and slapped her paw against his chest, “Faster, Zhao Yao! It’s about to start. You are gonna get us late!”
“Who told you to vomit your dinner? You are the one wasting my time.” Zhao Yao retorted. His eyes swept back towards that pair but somehow he had a bad feeling about them, “Silly cat, were you the one who scolded me?”
The husky also slid Zhao Yao a condescending glare. Somehow, he had developed an inexplicable disgust towards him, all he wanted to do was give Zhao Yao a nasty bite on his leg. However, he had no idea where his abhorrence for Zhao Yao rooted from?
The Husky shook his head violently in an attempt to suppress his anger. He slid Fish Ball a guarded look and communicated telepathically, “Do not respond to this guy. He seems to be able to understand our words. Do not expose our identities.”
“Hmph,” Fish Ball nodded his head and put on his best pretense acting as an ordinary cat.
“Maybe my ears played a trick on me.” Zhao Yao continued munching on the half-eaten bun in his hand as his eyes continued drifting between the cat and dog. Finally, he decided to try his luck.
“Since the two of you cannot even understand human language, what’s the point of having all these money?” Zhao Yao squatted next to them and reached his arm towards the bowl of coins. He swooped all the coins away and replaced it with his bun instead.
“Hmph, I’m actually doing you guys a favor. The money would be wasted on you. On the other hand, a freshly made bun can help fill your stomach. I’ll just treat these coins as the price for my bun.”
A vein popped on his forehead as his temple throbbed with rage as the husky witnessed Zhao Yao taking away his money right under his nose.
“This scumbag! I just wanna bite him to death!”
“Control, control. Noodle, you will become Jiangmen City’s cat king one day, it’s not worth it to lose your temple over such a childish person.”
Noodle tried his best to suppress the raging fury within him as he started brainstorming for an idea. Suddenly, the husky burst out barking.
Woof! Woof! Woof! Woof!
His incessant barking managed to attract the attention of the passersby. One elderly lady, who witnessed Zhao Yao’s action, even walked up to him and commented, “Young fella, do you have to resort to stealing a dog’s money?”
“Oh my god, you’re a disgrace to mankind. How can you even bear to steal a dog’s money?”
“Quickly return him his money!”
A sneaky smile crept up the husky’s face when he saw how the passersby had come to his support. He thought, “I guess you can only return me my money after this public outrage.”
Fish Ball screamed telepathically, “Noodle Boss, that’s so sick!”
“Oh,” Zhao Yao knew that there was something special about the two of them. Originally, Zhao Yao would have returned them the money if he had concluded that they were ordinary pets. However, their behavior seemed somewhat unusual, somewhat intelligent
“Attracting the pedestrian’s attention by using its bark? Is this merely a coincidence or …”
Zhao Yao turned around to face the raging crowd. He burst out laughing and explained, “This is just a misunderstanding. These two are my pets. I just went out to get some necessities and I told them to wait here. I have no idea where they got this bowl from.”
Naturally, Zhao Yao knew that none of them would believe a single rubbish he uttered. He lowered his head as a red glimmer flashed across his eyes, under his droopy eyelids.
He waved at his ‘pets’ direction and exclaimed, “Wei Zongxian, Li Lianying, it’s time to go home!”
“Who would listen to your stupid command?” Suddenly, the husky’s body froze. Despite how hard he struggled, he had already lost control over his body as he stood on his feet and stopped next to Zhao Yao on his own accord.
The elderly lady was taken aback by this scene and could only let out an awkward laugh and replied, “Hey young man … that’s quite a unique name for your pets.” The crowd that gathered around them started to disperse. Some kind-hearted individuals even came forward to advise Zhao Yao to never leave his pets alone.
Seeing that they were finally alone, Zhao Yao brought the pair to a desolate corner of the garden before lifting his power.
He grabbed a handful of coins from his pocket and emptied them into his wallet, one by one.
Anger thundered through Noodle as he witnessed Zhao Yao’s obnoxious behavior. The intensity of his anger escalated when he saw Zhao Yao’s sly smile. He had no idea why but he just found Zhao Yao’s face so irritating and exasperating.
“Look, there’s so much more.”
“I can buy so many buns with this fortune.”
I can even buy the premium roast pork bun with this!”
“Hmph, maybe I can bring them back and use them to earn even more money!” Zhao Yao exclaimed as excitement shot out of his eyes.
Noodle could no longer suppress the raging fire within him when the rain of mockery continually pelted against him.
“Fish Ball. Take care of him.”
A glimmer flashed across Fish Ball’s eyes as two beams of blinding light shot out of its palms, directly into Zhao Yao’s eyes.
“This should be able to blind you, you f*cker.”
Noodle snarled and revealed its razor-sharp teeth. In one swift motion, he had pounced towards Zhao Yao and sank his teeth into Zhao Yao’s arm.
Zhao Yao sniggered, “How naïve!”
After time resumed, the pair of dog and cat realized that they were chained to a pole in the garden. The entire length of the leash was also tied to the pole.
They just couldn’t seem to break free despite how much they struggled.
The husky went to his feet and let out a deafening roar, “Scumbag! Come back and release us now! If I use my power, I will instantly bite you to death!”
Fish Ball tagged along to the husky’s roar, “That’s right, human! Release my king! If not, you will be simply courting your own death! No one in this world can save you from my boss’s ferocious bite!”
Zhao Yao gave a half shrug of his shoulders and curled his lips in disgust. He raised his palms in the air before slamming it against their mouths.
“Look out for my shit wave!”
In the illusion, a flood of feces swarmed into their mouths relentlessly. Fish Ball struggled incessantly and spat all around the place, leaving his chin smothered with saliva.
Initially, the husky was overcome with shock and fear. His forehead creased together as all his features scrunched up into a mess. Subconsciously, he stuck out his tongue and licked his lips. Immediately, he was inundated by a shocking realization, “Why don’t I find it disgusting at all? It … It’s even … no! How can this happen?”
He just collapsed against the ground and imitated Fish Ball’s agonizing expression and started foaming at his mouth.
Zhao Yao bent next to them and rested his chin on his palms. His curiosity had been piqued by the pair of them as he thought, “I didn’t know that there were superdogs as well. Nature is really such an amazing thing.”
With a snap of his finger, he had lifted the illusion as the pair of them went back to their feet.
Fish Ball struggled to stand as his body continued shaking like a leaf. He could still vividly taste the residual scent left behind by the atrocious things.
Noodle could not get enough of it and continued savoring the taste on his lips. Finally, he reacted to the situation and swung his head towards Zhao Yao, “Human! You are dead! How dare you feed me with shit! In a moment’s time, you will understand the true meaning of despair. You have just committed the dumbest mistake in your life. After this movie, I’ll destroy you!”
“Hmph,” With a pool of feces in his palm, Zhao Yao stretched open the husky’s mouth and asked, “Am I dead for sure?”
“Am I stupid?” Before the husky could react, Zhao Yao had stuffed the handful down his throat.
“Destroy me?” Zhao Yao whipped out another handful from the ground and stuffed it further down his throat.
“No!” The husky tried his best to hide the smile on his face as his body contorted and gagged to continue his pretense, “How dare you feed me with feces? You are evil!”
Meanwhile, he licked the residue of his lips and pressed his paws gently against Zhao Yao, “No! Stop feeding me with shit!”
“Ahhh, my mouth is getting destroyed!” The husky started rolling across the ground and screamed, “Ah, this shit is so disgusting! I’m going to vomit everything out!”
Moments later, Zhao Yao had lifted the illusion and the husky raised his head to the sight of Zhao Yao and Fish Bal sliding him a condescending glare from a distance away.
