Xia Wen was so annoyed that he raised his notebook and wanted to go forward to beat Xia He up. The two siblings chased each other and ran around the house. Xia Zhe hugged Qiao Mei tightly in his arms, worried that they would accidentally bump into her.
“Well done, Xia He! You can even make fun of your elder brother! Has it been too long since I last taught you a lesson! Stop right there!”
“I just won’t! If you have the ability, then catch up with me! You couldn’t catch up with me when you were young! You still can’t catch up after you grow up!”
The way the two of them played reminded Liu Fen of when they were young. She sighed and said, “I remember the last time they ran like this was more than 10 years ago. Xia Zhe only had eyes for Qiao Mei and did not notice the way Tan Jing looked at him.
Tan Jing did not understand why, even though the two men were brothers, Xia Zhe could be so concerned about Qiao Mei but Xia Wen only cared about the big picture?
“Alright, alright. As an elder brother and elder sister, it’s not right for the two of you to make trouble in front of your younger brother and sisters-in-law!” Liu Fen said.
The two people chasing each other stopped immediately. Xia He looked fine and collected, but it was different for Xia Wen. After running a few rounds, he had started to pant heavily.
