The farm had changed form to a speck of dust that landed at the center of the palace, but the others didn’t notice a thing since Jiang He entered the farm through the palace.
Moreover, Hu Mei had put away the palace as Jiang He’s instructed.
The cultivators did not ask anything despite not seeing Jiang He anywhere, since mystic treasures of the grotto-heaven type was not at all rare.
That palace before was already an example. What if Jiang He was cultivating inside?
Nearby, the True Immortal who had yet to rebuild his immortal form flew towards the cultivators. Not casting the Mahayana cultivators so much as a look, he turned toward Hu Mei and asked reverently, “Hu Mei, where is Lord Jiang He?”
Hu Mei leveled that True Immortal Daemon Fox a cool look before answering, “Unknown Fox, was it?”
“Do you remember your little brother, Sister Hu Mei?”
The immortal fox appeared to be currying favor, saying, “You were a prodigy of our clan back then, sister, even instructing me in my cultivation… I was just sixth-retribution when you become immortal, too.”
Unknown Fox was not lying.
Hu Mei was indeed universally acknowledged as an unparalleled prodigy amongst the Green Hill Foxes back then. Born with six tails, she had cultivated less than a hundred and eighty years before becoming immortal… even so, her genius had caused her to be arrogant, and after she had provoked a superior being, her psyche was destroyed.
Though Unknown Fox did not know how Hu Mei had managed to revive from the dead, he could tell that Jiang He relied heavily on Hu Mei. As such, getting on her good side just might make his days in the future easier.
After all, Unknown Fox had to yield, now that he had been bound by the Spirit Animal Ring.
“Don’t probe about my master.”
Hu Mei, however, did not react kindly to Unknown Fox—with a cold reply and a wave of her hand, she threw dozens of thousands superior-grade spirit stones to Unknown Fox, saying, “Master has told me to relay his message: these superior-grade spirit stones might be no match against immortal crystals, but it would at lest be quicker than absorbing Spirit Qi out of vacuum to recover your immortal form.”
She paused for a while when she was finished, before saying, “Recover as quick as you can. There might be a tough battle ahead of us.”
Unknown Fox, however, looked like he could cry even as he collected the superior-grade spirit stones.
Tough battle?
How was he even supposed to fight at this state?
On the other hand, the Mahayana cultivators who were nearby could feel their eyeballs going red.
How many spirit stones were there?
What the hell!
Where did Jiang He obtain so many spirit stones?
Could the kid had discovered and monopolized a mining vein for spirit stones at some other place on Earth?
Moreover…
Is that immortal daemon one of the Green Hill Foxes’ elites?
How many days had it been, and Jiang He had already subjugated another powerful servant?
Though his aura was a little ethereal, but why did it feel like he was stronger than Jiang He’s nine-tailed fox maid?
And why did Jiang He leave them out here, in the vastness of outer space?
Were the immortals not returning?
Where were they?
Even if they were a group of Mahayana elites, they felt curiously small amongst the infinite stars… they turned to Hu Mei, wanting to ask about the situation, only for her to snort coolly and distance herself.
“Eh?”
Someone suddenly gasped in surprise then.
She was a female cultivator and an elite of the Sky Fury Sect, the only demonic sect that had no conflict with Jiang He.
Her sect had a strong background as well, boasting the strength of three Mahayana elites presiding over their group, the strongest of whom was this female cultivator—dressed in black war armor and bearing ravishing looks. She had the air of a noble maiden, and her name seemed to be Crimson Lotus Fairy Child or something.
At the moment, the demoness was staring straight at the stars ahead, a blank look showing on her face as she exclaimed in surprise, “Where is Mars?”
She took out a star map and cross-referenced it, and said, “There’s no mistaking it. Mars should be in this area… but where is it?”
As a matter of fact, among every immortal sect, demonic sect, and daemon clan, only Jin Sidao was aware that Jiang He had blown up Mars. He had not spread the word on purpose, which was why Crimson Lotus was naturally unaware.
The other cultivators were beside themselves in shock when they realized it as well.
Hence, Jin Sidao cleared his throat and said, “Well… All of you were aware that the Sky Demon legion had arrived on Mars, and were prepared to use it as a springboard to attack the homeworld, yes?”
“What?”
“Did something of that sort actually happened?”
Jin Sidao was dumbstruck.
“Oh, I almost forgot—most of you should not be aware of this.”
Crimson Lotus frowned then, and asked in confusion, “Even so, Brother Dragon Abyss, why had the Sky Demon legion not mounted any attacks on the homeworld? Is the disappearance Mars connected to the Sky Demons?”
“Inextricably so.”
Jin Sidao answered seriously. “To wipe out the Sky Demon legion, Mister Jiang had infiltrated Mars alone… and ended up blowing up Mars!”
“What?”
“Mister Jiang had blown up Mars?”
“Not even average Golden Immortals could do such a thing as blowing up a planet, could they? Moreover, Mister Jiang is merely Heavenly Immortal… but fights like a Golden Immortal?”
“Wait…”
The Mahayana elite of the Taixu Sect then said, “I had heard about the Sky Demons arriving on Mars, but Jiang He was not immortal at the time, was he?”
The crowd was even more astonished just then.
***
Jiang He, having entered his farm, was not aware about all that.
In fact, his shock right now was comparable to the Mahayana cultivators out there.
He had come to pluck his immortal crystals, but his attention was drawn to the nine Divine Sky-Mending Stones after he entered.
After growing for so long, each Divine Sky-Mending Stone was now three meters tall, with concentrated divinity swirling upon it, and shining with dazzling divine light.
Jiang He’s plan was to move those stones near his mansion after the Divine Sky-Mending Stone had grown considerably, as having nine of these dazzlingly bright fake mountains would look very impressive.
And yet, these fake mountains had grown disjointedly.
As he stood beside the stones, Jiang He stared agape ahead at the nine Divine Sky-Mending Stones. There was none of the beauty they had shown before since they had become all bent and twisted, and from a certain angle…
They looked humanoid.
“What the hell!”
“How am I supposed to use these as fake mountains?”
“Human-shaped fake mountains?”
Jiang He was blue with shock—what was stopping him from getting a few gals to stand around his mansion?
Most importantly, the divinity on the Divine Sky-Mending Stones were gradually reducing. However, it was not actually lost to the surroundings but was actually being withdrawn, as if something inside was absorbing the divinity of the Divine Sky-Mending Stone itself.
Jiang He did a double take.
“Wait… is there something growing inside the Divine Sky-Mending Stone?”
The Great Sage Equaling the Heavens himself had sprung out of the Divine Sky-Mending Stone.
But that begs the question: are these nine Divine Sky-Mending Stones the same? Does that mean there would be nine Great Sages spring out as well?
Jiang He could not help laughing out loud at the thought, and shook his head as he muttered, “I am overthinking this. The Great Sage had his own providence and is considered a key figure in Journey to the West—how could I plant him just like that?”
“Even if life could grow from these nine Divine Sky-Mending Stones, it would at best be some monkey lackeys. It would be extremely difficult to grow someone of the Great Sage’s level.”
Still, that did not affect Jiang He.
If he really managed to grow nine monkeys…
How amusing that would be!
