The crisp sound of the slap reverberated through the corridor, Tang Mo’er’s face was slapped hard.
A bright red print surfaced on her left cheek.
“Fairy Sister!”
Once Little Munchkin witnessed Tang Mo’er being slapped, his lustrous eyes watered and with a fluttering of eyelashes, two streams of tears flowed down his cheeks. His face puckered as he ran forward. “Bad Grandma, I hate you! You’re not allowed to bully my Fairy Sister, I’m going to bite you!”
With that, Little Munchkin bit Huo Yanmei’s hand, hard.
Huo Yanmei winced, she flung Little Munchkin away forcefully.
With the force she used, Little Munchkin almost hit the wall after being thrown to the side by Huo Yanmei. Thankfully, Tang Mo’er had acted quick enough and pulled Little Munchkin into her arms to protect him before it happened. She lifted her head, glaring at Huo Yanmei balefully with her lustrous eyes.
“Madam Gu, you’re my elder and also Niuniu’s grandmother, so I’m not going to be calculative with you regarding this slap. However, if you dare lay a finger on Niuniu again and let him suffer any harm, don’t blame me for turning against you. I will teach you a lesson you will never want to experience!”
Tang Mo’er wanted to teach her a lesson? Huo Yanmei’s face darkened, her entire body started shaking in agitation. “You!”
But she suddenly burst out in laughter before she looked at Little Munchkin. “Niuniu, do you know who your Fairy Sister is? She isn’t whatever Fairy Sister, but rather, your biological mommy!”
“Huo Yanmei!”
Tang Mo’er thundered. She hadn’t told Little Munchkin the fact that she was his mommy yet simply because the timing wasn’t right. She was afraid that she would scare Little Munchkin and he would subsequently drift away from her. She was afraid that he would no longer like her.
But now, Huo Yanmei had revealed the truth to Niuniu with no warning at all.
Tang Mo’er quickly lowered her eyes to look at the little munchkin in her arms. All she saw was an astonished Little Munchkin in a daze.
“Niuniu, she’s your biological mommy, the mommy you’ve been looking for for the longest time! Your mommy abandoned you and your daddy three years ago, leaving you two behind to depend on each other. Your mommy doesn’t want you, your mommy doesn’t love you at all!”
No! It’s not like that!
Tang Mo’er held Little Munchkin in her arms, wanting to explain herself.
But contrary to her expectations, Little Munchkin lashed out and retorted, “Don’t talk bad about my mommy, your words have no effect on me anyway, bad woman! I don’t believe you, Daddy and I both love Mommy!”
It tugged at Tang Mo’er’s heartstrings, Niuniu loved her. No matter what outsiders said about her, Niuniu chose to believe in Mommy and love Mommy.
Hearing Little Munchkin’s words, Huo Yanmei was stunned. She had a dark and ugly expression on her face, this Niuniu hadn’t fallen for her tricks at all!
Damn it!
Old Master Gu then cleared his throat. “That’s enough! Miss Tang, I can let you and Niuniu leave, provided you tell me the password.”
Password?
Tang Mo’er’s eyelids fluttered, her gaze riveted on Old Master Gu. “The two of you are here for the password?”
Old Master Gu didn’t speak.
“Ha.” Tang Mo’er chuckled. “You all can’t wait to take over Gu Mohan’s business empire once his split personality takes over his body? Gu Mohan has been slogging his life away for the Gu Corporation ever since he was 10 years old. Even though you are his biological grandfather and parents, all I can see is you making use of him. Disgusting. You guys just can’t wait to squeeze him dry!
“I will never tell you the password. I’m his legally recognized wife and Niuniu is his sole successor. I will make sure to protect his wealth and business empire during the time that he is away, don’t even covet a single cent, for no one can ever take away a single cent, especially while I am here!”
Tang Mo’er’s stance was firm.
Astuteness flashed past Old Master Gu’s eyes. Gu Xiao’er had taken over Gu Mohan and the Capital’s greatest conglomerate, the C.T Corporation had been left behind. C.T Corporation was literally a cash cow, multiplying its worth by the seconds.
Gu Mohan was raised by him. This grandson of his was favored by the heavens, building the C.T Corporation and growing it to its current prestige, just three years after leaving the Gu Corporation. Gu Mohan had achieved the pinnacle of success and exceeded Old Master Gu’s expectations for him immeasurably.
Now that Gu Mohan had disappeared and Gu Xiao’er was left behind instead, there was no better opportunity than this. He had to take the chance to gain possession of the C.T Corporation.
Old Master Gu signaled the bodyguard. “Miss Tang, I see that you’re refusing the proffered wine and asking for trouble for yourself. So be it.”
The bodyguards instantly went forward, surrounding Tang Mo’er and Little Munchkin.
Tang Mo’er snorted. “Old Master Gu, what are you trying to do?”
“I’m just trying to see how stubborn Miss Tang is.”
Once Old Master Gu finished that sentence, two bodyguards whipped out their batons respectively. It was an electrocuting baton and just one strike is enough to kill someone.
Old Master Gu is simply ruthless.
“Miss Tang, I’m going to ask you once more. Are you going to tell me the password?”
“No.”
One bodyguard raised the baton, preparing to hit Tang Mo’er on her lower back.
“Mommy!” Little Munchkin suddenly screamed and hugged Tang Mo’er.
Tang Mo’er quickly pulled Little Munchkin into her arms and shielded him, so afraid that the bodyguard would end up hurting Little Munchkin by accident instead.
Little Munchkin was still young, he wouldn’t possibly be able to take it.
She felt a huge gust of wind, the baton was almost about to land on her. But she didn’t feel the pain as expected. An imposing figure had come from the back and shielded her in his arms.
The baton struck and she heard a deep voice. “F*ck!”
“Daddy! Daddy is here, Daddy has saved the damsel in distress!” Little Munchkin jumped up and down in excitement.
Gu Mohan’s brows were furrowed after being hit in the back of his head. When he saw Little Munchkin jumping around excitedly, he sent a kick over. “Heartless little thing, your dad just got hit by someone! Why are you so happy!”
Little Munchkin only jumped around in glee. “Haha.”
Tang Mo’er lifted her eyes to look, Gu Mohan’s handsome face appeared before her. Her delicate body was in his arms, he had protected her.
Her heart palpitated a little, feeling somewhat touched by his actions. “Are you alright?”
Gu Mohan stretched his hand out to touch the back of his head while he replied irritably, “Crap, you want to give it a try for yourself?”
“…”
All the feelings of being touched instantly dissipated.
Gu Mohan then snatched over the baton, stalking over to kick the bodyguard as he electrocuted him with the baton. “F*ck, how dare you hit me. Are you tired of living?”
The bodyguard shrieked before he fainted.
Little Munchkin was amazed. “Wow Daddy, you’re so cool.”
Bam! Old Master Gu suddenly slammed his walking stick on the ground, making a loud sound. “Mohan, I forbid you to go out of line!”
In response, Gu Mohan glanced at Old Master Gu impassively before he threw away the baton in his hands. The baton hit the window and the glass shattered. The glass fragments flew in Old Master Gu and Huo Yanmei’s direction.
