Su Diguo!
This name was rather famous on the continent, and many people knew about him. This person was the second most important figure in the Great Xia Kingdom and the younger patrilineal cousin brother of King Su Diwang of the Great Xia Kingdom. He was the Great General Lord who had control on one-fifth of the Great Xia Kingdom’s military force and also the city lord of Summer Wind City.
Su Diguo was already dead. He fell in Summer Wind City and was buried along with Su Pingping, hundreds of thousands of soldiers, hundreds of thousands of Summer Wind City’s commoners, and twenty thousand Divine Martial Camp soldiers. They were all killed by the demonic beast army.
That was why when Vice Principal Rong finished reporting and said that the mastermind behind the kidnap of the little fox was Su Diguo, Zhuge Qingyun’s first reaction was ‘Absurd’.
Su Diguo ordered someone to kidnap the little fox and led the demonic beast army to attack the Great Xia Kingdom? He got himself killed in the end, too? Was Su Diguo’s head slammed by a door or kicked by a donkey?
In fact, when this news spread throughout the continent, all the people of the continent had the same reaction as Zhuge Qingyun. Everyone felt that it was preposterous and ridiculous. All the influential forces could be the mastermind behind the scenes; even the Azure Dragon Empire was under suspicion—except the Great Xia Kingdom. The Great Xia Kingdom suffered the worst losses in this incident.
Taking ten-thousand steps back and assuming that the Great Xia Kingdom was the mastermind, and they were prepared to use their weak kingdom strength to conquer the world with the help of the demonic beast army. Shouldn’t they lead the demonic beast army towards the Divine Martial Kingdom?
Take another ten thousand steps back and thinking that they wanted to injure themselves to trick the people—wiping out all suspicions, they wouldn’t expend a third of their kingdom’s military and bury them along with the only Vajra Realm martial expert they had, right? With their currently military strength, any kingdom could extinguish them. What else was there to conspire?
False accusation and shifting the blame!
Even a ten-year-old understood that someone was trying to frame the Great Xia Kingdom. Furthermore, no one believed that the Great Xia Kingdom was the one who did it.
However, the Azure Dragon Kingdom soon announced the evidence, which gave rise to an uproar.
There were two pieces of evidence. One of them was a witness testimony, and this witness was rather decisive. It was… Su Diguo’s son who personally reported it. Su Diguo’s son had originally resided in Summer Rain City and had sneaked over to Stellarsky City during this period of time. It was rumored that he had been pursued by the royal clan of the Great Xia Kingdom and narrowly escaped with his life.
Su Diguo’s son was called Su Ziheng, and the explanation that he gave was rather decisive, too.
Originally, the current Great Xia Kingdom was supposed to be ruled by his father, and the posthumous edict of the late King originally requested for his father to succeed the throne. Su Diwang colluded with a eunuch, who was a chancellor, and amended the edict without permission to snatch the King’s position. Hence, Su Diguo had been harboring hatred in his heart, plotting to get back the King’s throne that belonged to him.
The kidnappers of the little fox were indeed arranged by his father, but… it was ordered by King Su Diwang. Su Diwang wanted to allow the demonic beast army to raze the Divine Martial Kingdom, which not only eliminated a gargantuan threat and also served as revenge against Jiang Bieli who slaughtered hundreds of thousands of their Great Xia Kingdom’s soldiers back then.
As for Xia Wuhui and Su Ruoxue’s alliance through marriage, it was all a pretense to conceal Su Diwang’s conspiracy and to numb the royal clan of the Divine Martial Kingdom.
Once Su Diguo obtained the secret orders from Su Diwang, he sent his men to kidnap the little fox but didn’t lead the demonic beast army towards the Divine Martial Kingdom. He led it towards the Great Xia Kingdom instead. He initially wanted to put Su Pingping and Su Diwang to death, in order to seize the throne that belonged to him. However, his plan failed; and he was assassinated by the enraged Su Diwang who sent dozens of experts to Summer Wind City.
According to Su Diguo’s son—Su Ziheng—after the incident, the King of the Great Xia Kingdom sent his men to massacre his entire family. Under the protection from an old servant guard, they finally killed their way out and successfully arrived at the Azure Dragon Empire. Because of his hatred towards Su Diwang, he wanted to take revenge on him; hence, he exposed this matter to the world.
This story was logically correct; at least, it offered a reasonable explanation.
Su Diwang did send an army to invade the Divine Martial Kingdom, but it was ambushed by Jiang Bieli at Soul Break Valley, causing hundreds of thousands of soldiers to be buried in the valley. Afterward, Jiang Bieli commanded the army and surrounded Summer Rain City for ten days and nights. Not only did it cause the Great Xia Kingdom to lose military strength, but it was a humiliation that Su Diwang had to live with for life!
The reason why Su Diwang wanted to take revenge on the Divine Martial Kingdom and Jiang Bieli was a good basis as a reason. Su Diguo wanted to seize the throne so he lured the demonic beast army to attack the Great Xia Kingdom, which was also reasonable. Finally, Su Diwang was infuriated and sent assassins to kill Su Diguo, which was also understandable.
The problem was… why would Su Diwang allow Su Diguo to handle such an important task?
Why didn’t the Soul Travel Realm experts who kidnapped the little fox bring it to Summer Rain City?
Even if they didn’t go to Summer Rain City, why didn’t they go to the Saint Spirit Kingdom and then turn into the Divine Martial Kingdom? Why did they bring the little fox across two kingdoms and made haste all the way to Stellarsky City? It was a known fact that the Divine Martial Kingdom was the nemesis of the Great Xia Kingdom, right?
There’s more!
The eldest prince of the Azure Dragon Empire was obviously involved in this matter. How was that going to be explained?
There were too many doubts, but Su Ziheng mentioned that he didn’t know about the details so he didn’t give any explanation. After he brought out another piece of decisive evidence, there wasn’t a need to explain this incident anymore!
The Green Clear Vase!
Su Ziheng said that this artifact belonged to the royal clan of the Great Xia Kingdom, and many experts knew about this, too. This vase was obtained by a royal member of the Great Xia Kingdom in the Tomb of Heaven Monarch, hundreds of years ago. It was a kingdom heirloom that had always been inherited by the King. This item could be used during a crucial moment for an expert to carry it and escape with the King in it. It was a life-saving artifact! It was also the only spatial artifact on this continent that could store a living human.
Once this evidence was taken out, the continent was in an uproar as all the royal clans of the various kingdoms went through their dossier. Finally, all the five kingdoms and Azure Dragon Empire had the same thing recorded in their respective dossier. The Great Xia Kingdom did actually obtain the Green Clear Vase hundreds of years ago; it was even flaunted by that generation’s King to the various kingdom’s envoys.
There were many who pursued and rescued the little fox: the Azure Dragon College, Centaurea College, Mt. Spirit Beast College, Water Moon Observatory, Great Zen Monastery, and even the Soul Travel Realm experts from the Azure Dragon Empire. Everyone knew that the little fox was hidden within the Green Clear Vase, which was in the hands of Jiang Yi.
This evidence was much too decisive!
There were still some doubts in the earlier explanation, but it didn’t matter anymore. The Great Xia Kingdom’s royal clan wouldn’t just casually offer others such an absolute artifact that could save one’s life. No one heard about any information that they had given it to anyone. This meant that this incident’s mastermind was Su Diwang, and he was the sinner and the public enemy of mankind!
“Green Clear Vase?”
In Mt. Spirit Beast College, Zhuge Qingyun had gathered Principal Qi and the others, informing them about this matter. Once Principal Qi finished hearing the information, her face immediately changed as she gasped, “The little fox was indeed contained within the Green Clear Vase, and the vase is currently in Jiang Yi’s possession. Principal… could this incident really be plotted by the Great Xia Kingdom?”
Anguish flashed in the eyes of Vice Principal Tie as he laughed coldly. “If this matter was truly plotted by Su Diwang, then his guts must truly be huge and should be punished just because of his intention!”
Zhuge Qingyun’s eyes were filled with concern as his sparse brows were straightened like two sharp swords. He looked towards the south, letting out a deep sigh and said, “It doesn’t matter if he is the mastermind. The Great Xia Kingdom will not be able to avoid this adversity, and the power balance of the continent is fated to change. The smoke of war is going to rise, and the continent is going to be in chaos. I wonder how many more lives are going to be lost this time…”
